Not friendly, no greeting and hardly acknowledged, but rather given snarly looks which is extremely unprofessional in this type of retail environment. I do believe the lady who conducts this behavior is the manager or assistant of this location. Unprofessional tattoos and harsh make up to add to those nasty looks she gives. Today is September 26th 2024 this happened approximately 11:30 you could review the footage I was in line trying to buy me a refillable mug I asked Lady I need to get that mug she said just one moment I said okay literally six different individual customers walk up and she keeps ringing them up as I'm still standing at the counter this holiday has the worst customer service unless you are a family friend and as you go there you will realize that they do know some people in the community and they are family but it when it comes to paying customer that doesn't meet their criteria they are assholes I ended up going up to the holiday up the road by the McDonald's and I purchased me a $20 refillable mug I walked in got in line vented to the employees at that holiday they chuckled and said their cells are way better than the holiday down the road he got me my mug I paid for it and I got my refill.... Talk about a niche market: People living or working around the Fort Union triangle who are too cheap to get a membership -- or too lazy to drive 5 miles -- to Costco. On this night, we fit that description. They have ... let's just call them the sparsest amenities of any gas station in the area. While the TWO amply lit Maverik "Adventure's First Stop" (less than a mile apart!) were packed, we shared the Shell station with a night clerk and some grizzled dude in an ancient Ford Taurus who parked in front of the door ... and was just there to buy a pack of smokes. There was an old Simon & Garfunkel song, "A Heart in New York", where the song goes "Lookin' down on Central Park, Where they say you should not wander after dark." Well substitute "Central Park" with "the Shell Station on Fort Union Boulevard." Well, I'm exaggerating, but I'd turn the safety off your mace ... just in case ;) Again, we were there for the cheapest gas, and Shell has everybody in a 5-mile radius beat.

This location seems to be even more happening than others-probably because it's right in the center of everything, not because the gas is any better than other Costcos. It's a littel tricky to navigate being at the back of the parking lot, not easily accessible from the road. But that doesn't deter folks...they gotta save those dollars!

Yes, newer eng's "detune"/lower Compression themselves automatically, so 85 works fine -- BUT: Comes at performance cost of less MPG due to less HP w/ lower Octane. Less HP Less MPG = MORE gasoline/MPH. Even though factory-Recommended MIDgrade "up" here costs more, eng. gets better MPG, so basically a "wash" $$-wise. WHILE getting "advertised Performance" pd for with vehicle. ;) :)

So don't get ripped off. Shop around. There is a lot better choices out there.

I had to replace my catalytic converter because it was cut out when my car was stolen. Being that…read morethey are now being stolen more than ever before I was expecting to pay an astronomical amount to have it replaced, so I put it off longer than should have. My car sat idle for a year, so in addition to the converter, my car needed a tune up, oil change, emissions and again I was expecting a huge bill, but the total was so reasonable and less than. Thought I was going to have to pay. I brought it in on a Wednesday and picked it on Friday. Fast and efficient and reasonably priced! Can't ask for more than that! I highly recommend them and will be coming back for what ever will breakdown in the future!
