This is the first time I've eaten at this location. I usually go to there #1 location. Same great food quality here. As I said for the review for their Tacos Lopez #1, it is the best al pastor I've ever eaten. I've eaten a lot, coming from Tucson. As a matter of fact, I didn't know if I ever would find Mexican food that would be in the same echelon as Tucson's Mexican restaurants. Tacos Lopez #1 was the first place I tried. Whoa! It was great. Same thing here. Same food, same everything. Same efficient and friendly service. The best part is that there is a lot more room here which makes it more comfortable. That's the only difference. So no worries, if you are looking for absolutely great food, this is the place. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. Loved the Tijuana style and flare that these tacos had! I enjoy being able to get my own radishes and salsas too. I love tacos Lopez! I thought it was good as it always is, but I did feel like the quesadilla was missing a little bit of cheese! Overall, I would say the tacos are really good. I think the benefit of this business is truly their operating hours. Because who would not want great Mexican food at crazy hours of the night. I went after a grizzlies game and they took my order super fast we did end up waiting a while for my friends food probably about 20 minutes, but I got my food right away which I found interesting cause we ordered the same thing. I absolutely love the Al pastor that they had I did wish it came with piña! Otherwise all they're available sauces and everything are absolutely delicious. I came at 10-11pm and there was a line for drive through and inside the restaurant, it was 1/3 full, so I was kinda expecting good tacos. They were pretty mid. My rankings for the tacos would be tripa, al pastor, lengua, buche/cabeza, suadero. Tripa is very crispy, but it is more like chips crispy texture, and I prefer crispy but still has meat texture. Al pastor is slightly too dry and I have to pay 50c extra for pineapple Buche is saltier than other meat options and not very crispy even though they ask if I want it crispy. The tacos came with Guac , a salsa, onion and cilantro. Made for a spicy tasty bite. The fries were crispy to stand up to the guacamole, cheese , sour cream and mountain of meat mixed in. Sweet, salty, spicy balanced taste, served guacamole inside...top with some lime, spicy salsa! Yum. The asada taco was my least favorite.... A basic grilled beef sliced serve with guacamole and top with your choice of salsa from the bar. Nothing special about the beef. I didn't hate it. Overall, food was excellent... The restaurant itself was quite noisy. My only complaint was everything was written in Spanish (also nothing at the salsa bar was labeled) I had to get help from another customer because the staff who took my order was not fluent in English. This location gets too busy, lines are constant both inside and outside in the drive thru. And that is for a reason, their food is very good and authentic. Al pastor is their best option. But my Vampiro wasn't quite as full or sauced as at their West Jordan location. And be careful, because all of their salsas are pretty spicy and some of their tacos they sauce while making them. My daughter's lengua taco was too spicy for her to eat. Plus the orange creamy salsa I love at their other location doesn't taste the same here. Service is fine here, but it can be hard to hear your name called even over speakers when it's a packed and loud dining room. Parking is always a problem and parking lot is grimy. Pro tip: Drive thru is prioritized here, so it's always faster than inside. read more

The tacos were reasonably price for the economy at this point. Tacos were individually wrapped so it wasn't messy on your place and manageable when you unwrapped to eat. It didn't have as much onions and cilantro as I liked, but I'm sure they would accommodate if I asked them on the front end when ordering or possibly after if I tried. The Al Pastor was probably the best out of the 3 types of tacos I got. I liked the Lengua as well and probably should've put on more green salsa than I did. The texture on the Chorizo wasn't it for me. It wasn't as crispy as others I've had and I understand that this smoother texture could be the more authentic way of eating it but it just wasn't for me. The Horchata tasted great. I'm guessing the ladle got a little close to the bottom on my scoop because it was a bit sandy for me near the bottom. Went here with a party of 4 people at the recommendation of a local friend on a Saturday around lunchtime - it was busy, but not impossibly so. This is definitely a no-frills, authentic taco spot. Absolutely. Incredible. Tacos. It was so good we went a second time within the week (though to a different location). The sauce/condiment station is super convenient (albeit a little messy to do), but the range of heat was great. My favorites were the orange (very spicy) and green (fairly mild) sauces. We did have a slight mishap since we didn't get a receipt after paying and were waiting for quite a while, but we did get that resolved at the register within a few minutes after asking about our order status. The kitchen is a well oiled machine, there are about 15 people on NOS all buzzing around each other in perfect harmony absolutely cranking out plates and plates of perfection. Really torn here. The menu items are what you expect to find on the best taco truck around but the pricing is very, very much what you would expect at a fancy restaurant. I had the Vampiro - Pastor (excellent) and 2 small Asada tacos (very good) and it ran $15. I would eat here every day if it weren't cost prohibitive. I'll be honest I wanted to love this place. I can tell the ingredients are authentic and of high quality. The staff were extremely friendly and the line went very quickly. Our food was extremely salty and over seasoned. We enjoyed the spice with our dishes, it was just nearly inedible with the saltiness. We had the Al pastor tacos and asada quesadilla. The answer is simply, NO, ( my opinion). I have been eating tacos my entire life, so I am a good judge of a buen taco. We arrived around 9:30p. Friday night. The place was busy, but people came in and out just as fast. My order was for three people with an average of about four tacos each. 35-minute wait to get room temperature food. The first mistake at Tacos Lopez was that the advertisement has Tijuana style tacos. You will find in my pictures that my tacos were, in fact, not Tijuana style. There is an added guacamole sauce to the tacos that makes them this style. None of the 12 plus tacos we ordered had this style. We ordered pastor, lengua, tripa, and asada tacos and quesadilla. No flavor in particular stood out. The tripa taco was stale as if it had been sitting around heat for too long. The pastor was mediocre at best, and the asada was probably the best out of the entire order. Their salsas were all meh, and none stood out. Each taco averages about $2.50 to $3.00 each. They are tiny tacos for that price. It's one of the tiniest tacos I've seen and ate in the valley. At some point, after waiting for 30 minutes, I went to the counter and asked where my food was as I grew inpatient. I also asked why it was taking that long, and they said 'order of arrival,' but others got their food before, even the ones that arrived after me. I was very unhappy for waiting and having to ask for my food after 35 minutes and for eating cold, tiny, not Tijuana style tacos. I don't think this place is worth the wait. It was also very dirty, both tables and floor. The restrooms were gross, and the floors were greasy all over. I doubt I'll come back. read more

This place is every bit as good as the first location. I always get the Pastor Vampiros and use the orange salsa and limes. The salsa is exactly the same as the salsa at the first location. The orange salsa in particular is amazing and I think it is their spiciest one. All of their salsas are pretty spicy though. For either location I use the app to order. First it's easier and I get my food right when I get there. Second, it was sometimes difficult for me to be understood because I don't speak Spanish so on the app there is no confusion. There is a lot more room at this location. They could almost actually do the Tijuana Taco thing and have the lines go to the specific window for the type of meat you want. They don't do that, though.
