I would like to start with I had my very pregnant wife with me during this interaction. Brought my car in for inspection, passed, went to leave the lot, I hear clicking when my tires rotate, I immediately pull over to find what I know for sure and have a photo of is a T30 screw and washer the exact kind and color that hold my heat shield on. Didn't even get out of the lot I back up and inform the assistant manager John that I think they ran over some hardware while it was in the shop and he went out and look at my tire and said "that's a Phillips head and I don't have a single one of those in my shop" (I am a fabricator and I've never seen a shop without the most common screw in the world not to mention that's not even what was in my tire) I then told him I already looked at it and I know that's not what it was and I asked if I could get it put on the lift. He got increasingly defensive and insisted it was impossible that it could have happened in his shop instead of suggesting it could have been possible I ran something over in the parking lot which he did later (his parking lot he is responsible to keep free of debris) we exchanged some choice words, and he refused me service. I begin to put my spare on in the lot, and he comes back out and tells me to go to the mavis a mile down the road store 1389 and that they will patch my tire. I drove there and was completely flat by the time I got there and that store was extremely kind. However, sending me on the road with my pregnant wife was insane if I lost enough air I could have lost the tire in a turn. I never write poor reviews, but this was the worst customer service of my life. The only reason he found a solution was because my wife got him freaking out on video. read more

I was there for about 2 hours on a very busy Saturday for an oil change that was complicated when they found that the housing for my oil was damaged from when it was changed before and needed to be replaced. They did not have the housing in their store, but they ordered it on the spot and it arrived fairly quickly. While I was there that whole time, the staff was very very professional and friendly. They helped people who walked in with an urgent issue and tried to accommodate them as much as possible. They even went out of their way to collaborate with another less busy shop in the area for someone who needed their tires changed ASAP. They also provided frequent updates to their waiting costumers. These despite the fact that they were busy! I'm always nervous to go to these places for car issues as I know virtually nothing about cars. I'm always afraid that they may take advantage of my lack of knowledge and try to sell me things I don't really need. That being said, I've been to this shop a total of 2 times now since moving in the area 3 years ago. The first time I went, I remember liking the experience a lot that I thought to come back. Stupidly though, I went to a Midas last year for reasons i don't even remember anymore. That was obviously a mistake. I highly recommend this place. I never once thought they took advantage of me (I hope not at least), they are very friendly and they won't make you feel like you should know more about cars. He gave me a discount too! Happy with service at Mavis Lehigh St location Knowledgeable staff and fast friendly service Although my car did not pass inspection because of my worn tires, I was able to return with new tires that were not purchased there and they were very accommodating to install and balance my new tires. It's my turn give them my info that Don t have my tires either. How the duck does that happen? The guy ruining the shop David is a complete ass and rude as hell. He tells me to call on Monday to see if he ordered them and then my price got jacked up by 100 bucks! No apologies no nothing. If I could give 0 stars I would. These people are total scam artists. Took my car to get inspected and I had to return after a light reset. I had to come back 3 times in the same week because the mechanic wasn't there. On the third visit a code kept coming up but they didn't have the proper tools to figure out why. Now I am out all that money and 3 days of my time wasted with a 'that isn't out problem' I plan to take this further because these practices are not up to standards. How can you run emissions and state inspections if you don't have all the equipment and tools to diagnose and fix the problem. Will not be returning for any reason at all. read more

Terrible customer service. I've been her 4 or 5 times over the last 18 months. There is never the same person twice. Employee turnover is a big problem. There is no customer loyalty or familiarity. There is no caring or relationship. I called to see if they could take my car this afternoon. We took it there for some tires and oil change. Left the car for 3 hours and they never even touched it. I had a tire blow on I-78 in Allentown, PA. I am 75 years old. A unknown man stopped and assisted me. He told me about Mavis Discount Tires (right after the "Ford" dealership. I "limped" into Mavis. Jared checked around and found that the Ford dealership had the tires I needed. I decided to get four new tires because I had purchased the tire that blew only two weeks before and didn't trust them on my trip back to Florida. When the tire was removed--I was shown the additional damage to brake lines and shock absorbers due to the blowout. Note that I came there without an appointment and they are very busy. Somehow--they were able to get the necessary parts and stayed late -- the other manager, Rob, actually got the job done when the employee that was working on my car finished his shift. Even in my younger days when I worked on my own cars--I wouldn't have been able to fix what Rob did for me. Secondly they did a regular oil change on my car after telling them I didn't need one. I alread had a synthetic oil change done a week or so prior from a different mechanic. Top notch customer service, fast and good tire services. I went there on A Sunday to check out some tires as I needed to replace all 4. I wasn't entirely sure what to choose but their sales/front desk rep (wish I knew his name!) was extremely helpful and made the whole process so smooth. I was in an nd out in about 1 hour and 30 min, without appt and with a few other people getting various services as well. Overall, I would highly recommend them! I did call the number you listed and gave a brief recount along with the fact that you had advised I call. A short time after, I received a call back from the same Regional rep. with whom I spoke before. He asked if I had the rotors replaced and if it fixed my issues. I told him yes and that it did. I then asked him why the techs at this location could not tell me that they were "warped" in my TWO visits after having the issues? His response was that they did tell me to replace them. I said, yes they did, however they said it was due to being rusty and nothing more. Again, his response was that they advised replacing them so they did their job. I then pushed a little and asked what if I had paid to have the trans mount and even the axles replaced (which are perfectly fine) but still had the issues? He didn't have an answer and it further proved my feeling that customer service is not a top priority. read more

Very disappointed in my experience this afternoon. I scheduled an appointment online 2 weeks ago for a 4-tire change. Knowing that I was coming in, why would the technicians wait until my arrival to check if they even had the tires in inventory? Which, of course, they did not... they were short by one. I was offered another tire of slightly lesser quality for the same price. Not sure why I would pay that for less quality, but it would have solved the immediate issue. But then he proceeds to tell me that even though I have an appointment, he hopes I'm not in a hurry because there are only two technicians working and they're already behind schedule. I'm a little confused on the purpose of an online scheduling system, if it cannot address any of your customers needs. DO NOT. I repeat. DO NOT go to this place. By far the worst customer service I have ever received. It took SIX hours to do an inspection, even though I was told to drop off my car three hours before my apt time. I especially enjoyed the creepy guy at the register (his name is Mike) who refused to call me by my name and kept referring to me as 'darling'. Only my boyfriend can get away with that buddy. Stop being a perv. The best is that they informed me that my rear breaks had less then twenty percent wear and tear. Yeah. Ok. Stay away from here. If I could give it 0 stars I would. I took my car there to top off the oil. They put 5 quarts in and charged me $56.90 and I left. I drove about 2 miles and my car completely died, I called them immediately and was told my the same "nice" man who waited on me 'is not their problem go to the car dealer.' I had it towed and the dealer checked it out. Not only did they put in 5 quarts, which was too much and this did damage to my engine. The dealer siphoned out 3 quarts and it was still showing completely full! As a result of their wonderful work, my engine is shot and I need a new engine. I called corporate and talked to district manager, Lou, who told me they would take no responsibility as it wasn't their problem. So...I am out the money for the oil they put in and now I have to spend about $6;000 for a new engine. What a great place! read more

My girlfriend went to figure out why her car wasn't starting and to get the car inspected. After 2 days they said the car is inspected, starts and holds a charge. After having it parked outside our house for 1 day we tried to start it and it didn't start. We paid $700 in total because they found a rear suspension issue that they told her had to be corrected in order for the car to pass inspection. Essentially they did nothing to alleviate the initial problem that brought the car there in the 1st place. We had to have the car towed back to Mavis. After an hour they said it looks fine and that they're not electricians. We had to argue with them for another half hour to get them to give us a new battery. I still don't know how a car that doesn't start passed inspection. We will never go there again. Did I mention they charge $117/ hr. for labor? They are not STS tire. I had good experiences when dealing with them. read more
