Finding these guys was one of the luckiest things my wife and I have done since moving to the valley six years ago. They have always been honest and fortright with us and helped us knowing we were struggling teachers during our first few visits. I would think of no other place to go for car repair, oil changes, and inspections. Kevin goes to great lengths to make sure this location - and his staff - are as welcoming and courteous as can be. He spent a great deal of time and money putting fun amenities in his place as well as refreshments and a clean setting. If you happen to be looking for a long term mechanic in the area, don't be skeptical of this being a Midas. It is a chain that is local to its core. The store is heavily involve in the Coopersburg/Center Valley and Quakertown areas and they love giving back to the community. You are supporting a local business when you get work from these guys. Went in for an inspection. Mechanics missed mouse nest in air filter, zip tie strap on air intake, installed a battery and broke the battery conection terminal and said drive it around for about 50?miles to reset computer. Did 300 miles over a coarse of a week bringing the car in 5 differant times. I had to show them what they missed. I told them to refund my money and taking it somewhere else. They had the car for a month and never fixed it. Very poor level of mechanics. Owner was nice but your only as good as the people you employ. Dont go there. read more

I went to Midas of Melody Lakes based on a recommendation and it did not go well. I went in for new tires for my truck and each wheel came out damaged in some fashion. I have black wheels and if the employee thought that might be an issue they should have refused to perform the work. If during the work the employee noticed the wheels chipping and were damaged they should have contacted me as I was waiting in the waiting area the entire time to confirm if I would want to continue. They did none of the above and have only told me the risk of having black wheels, so I have to fix the damage they caused. Do not go to this Midas location for tires as they will damage your wheels and will tell you well it's your problem. read more

I went in because I got a ticket and needed repairs in order to get the ticket dropped, I have one week to get all the repairs taken care of. I was so worried about cost as I'm young and am just starting out on my own. I'm very low income at the moment and on a very tight time limit. Not only did they get me in right away, they gave me a free estimate for the repairs I needed and did my emissions inspection on the spot. It was a huge weight off my shoulders. They also let me know about payment plans and helped me with cost efficient options. They answered all my questions and took their time to explain things to me. Traveling from Texas we had stopped in for a minor issue with a tire . Plus an oil change . Frankly I'm always uncomfortable with a new provider . All went well , people are very nice and the setting is comfortable . water and coffee available . Plus a charging station . read more

I took my vehicle there to have brand new tires put on and other work done. When they put my tires on they damaged my wheels also one of the tires that I purchased looked like it had curb rash on it and was supposedly a brand new tire. I took it back to show the owner the damage to my wheels and the tire and he took a picture And said that he would get back to me it is now two weeks later and I have not heard a thing. Putting new tires on your vehicle is a huge investment you expect good tires and not having your wheels damaged I would never recommend this place to anyone and they have certainly lost my business. read more

Last place i would ever take a vehicle to. My van was in for inspection, tires,and new windshield. Paid in full on my card so I could pick it up after working hours. The windshield was still broken and not replaced. They said they forgot. After 4 weeks i still didn't have new stickers on the van!! They jerked me around until I wanted my money back,then all of a sudden their emission machine was working. I really think they just stuck an emission sticker on there,i recieved no safety or emission paperwork. If you have time and money to waste, go there!!! read more

I brought my truck in to have a tire with a screw in it plugged. K&S tire down the road would not do it because it was a "pain in the ass" to do my upgraded big truck tires. Shady as hell business practice. After being told the day before that they would swap tires from one set of rims to another, and making an appointment for Saturday at 12 noon, when I showed up they changed their story and said that they would not be able to do it. I took a day off of work to get this done based on the fact that I wasn't expecting any trouble. I believe they just got me in there to attempt to sell me a new set of tires. Thanks for wasting my Saturday and costing me an extra day of pay. Beware of false promises and up-sells from these con-artists! read more

If I could make a 0 star, I would. I cannot believe how I was taken advantage of at this store. Here is the scenario: I am a 63 yr old widow. I have a 2003 Toyota Sienna Van that needs A LOT of work. In the middle of trying to make the decision as to either get rid of the van or fix it, the battery light came on. I brought it to this Midas and was told I would need an ALTERNATOR AT $700!!! For an alternator!!! Well the manager, Kevin, knows I don't have the cash or a credit card to pay for this so he offers me the program they have that I can "borrow" the money and pay it back in 100 days at no interest. Well of course I am going to go with this, because I HAVE TO HAVE MY CAR TO WORK AND TO LOOK FOR ANOTHER CAR. I begin the process of looking for a car and the first car I go to look at is at a mechanic's house. I tell him my story, he looks at the Sienna and tells me that the Alternator I have is the cheapest alternator made (in Mexico-maybe $150) and he could have put it in in less than an hour. I was told at Midas that it would take 3 HOURS!!! The breakdown on my receipt PARTS ALTERNATOR ASSY $379.99 Serpentine Belt $ 36.00 LABOR $275.00 Shop Supplies $ 9.50 TOTAL $700.49 AGAIN....... $700 for an alternator So unless you know about cars, and the cost of things, DO NOT GO HERE, especially if you are a senior woman. I am the first person on this earth to tell ANYONE AND EVERYONE what a good job they are doing, or how much I appreciate them, or anything good, because it just isn't done enough anymore....... This is the first time EVER I have written a bad review, but I am so disappointed and hurt that someone took advantage of me this way. Very disappointed with the Melody Lakes Midas. I had a problem with my car where the service engine light was on. I called this shop, worried about risking breaking down where I rely on my car daily to drive 30 miles to and from work. The shop attendant told me on the phone there was nothing they could do for me , and that the earliest I could bring it in would be in 3 to 4 days. That alone made me furious. I even asked for a loaner car so I can leave it. They had none available. So I ended up going to the Midas in Quakertown , where they not only fixed my car the same day, but even offered me a loaner car so I can run some errands. To me, that is exceptional customer service. I will definitely be bringing my car to them from now on. read more
