Complete scam artists. I had to call the police on them today. I took it in for a quote and they said $1080. I left the car and got a quote somewhere else for $700. I called them immediately within 2 minutes and told them not to touch my car. When I went to pick up my car they said they removed the caliber and they couldn't put it back and it would cost me an additional $400 refusing to give me my car back. I called the police and when the police arrived it turned out they never took the caliber off and they were lying. Complete scam artist don't go here go to VIP car wash and lube in Wood Ridge New Jersey. Very honest guy and good prices. Update: the new mechanic said my caliber was fine!! I got an online quote to replace the car tires. Once I had the quote, I scheduled an appointment also online. I was told at the store the tire replacement takes between 45 minutes to one hour. I arrived on time and sat for a while, my car parked outside. After 15 minutes, I inquired to see when they would start. The manager took the car inside a few minutes later and then I waited for another 20-25 minutes before the work began. They finished at 1:20. When I went to pay, the amount due was higher than the quote. $40 dollars more than the quote; $10 dollars more per tire. The manager insisted it was the taxes. It wasn't the taxes even though these were not disclosed on the quote. They charged $40 more. And they tagged a $14 recycling charge. So the online quote is worthless. They don't even look at it. Don't do it or if you do it, print it and bring it with you and show it so that they abide by it. read more

I had a flat & went straight to Mavis to get it taken care of. They were very quick to accommodate my situation. Service was friendly and effective in communicating. The issue was identified and handled quickly. It turned out to not be the tire but the air pressure valve. If I could give minus stars I would! I went in Thursday evening and after dealing with the horrible service from the floating manager with the beard mentioned below, another Manager, Howard stepped up to make everything good, yeah right! So after explaining I couldn't afford an alignment right now, Howard stated how they would discount it blah blah and that would also cover the discrepancies in what the online price was and the things they were trying to tack onto the bill. So I agreed to have the alignment. Upon picking up my car I asked Howard how was the alignment? He held up his hands and said "it was off a little to the right, but we got it all fixed up for you. If you find it pulling at all, come back and let me know!" So I paid and left. My truck still felt off so I room to my mechanic. There was something additional I needed that had zero to do with tires. Well when I picked up my car from my mechanic he asked me if I had an alignment done? After I said yes he stated that I had been scammed. That no alignment had been performed as this bolt would have to been turned and as it is rusted and not been touched they didn't perform an alignment! I called and Howard stumbled over his words. I cut him off to state I would be going for a refund. I will be heading there after my appointment and will update. I also called customer service and was told Christopher the regional manager would be handling this case. I have not heard from him at this time. I want a complete refund as I can't even trust these are the tires I wanted or that they were balanced Ect. They better have my old tires to put back in!!! Never go here! Long overdue review. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. I WAS a long time customer in Bergenfield but something went very wrong with the (former) manager. Paid for son's tire replacement. Waited over an hour. Discovered later the tire was never replaced. Funny trick they pulled is this..they squeezed the car between two others so I wouldn't notice despite having a huge wide open lot. Several calls to corporate NY office..they had us running back and forth between 2 shops (long story). Finally got tire replaced after a month of aggravation. Guess what? Save yourself the time and money and bring your car somewhere else. I have to take my car to a different mechanic this week to get parts that are very noticeably in bad condition replaced. These parts were allegedly replaced by Mavis six months ago. When I tried to speak to a manager about it, I was told he was not in that day, after a LOT of shuffling and hushed conversation in the background of the call. I kept checking to see if my car was being work on and this high school looking kid was taking his sweet time doing nothing . Once my car was done they drove it out and forgot to do the alignment smfh . They ask you want to get the alignment done I said hell nah I will never come back here again. During the process of the car being work on they told me I needed struts lmfao this is a joke . I told them it's a 2018 VEHICLE and I drive super carefully. Should have learned my lesson from horrible past Mavis experience. Bought 4 brand new tires end of October. Have driven less than 900 miles. Noticed one of the tires had a bubble developing on the wall of the tire. Took it to where I got the tires. Couldn't even look up my info on the computer because after service, the only record of my purchase is my receipt. This is the worst store ever. Brought my sons truck in to get 4 tires and was told I needed brakes and rotors which I didn't need on the front end because they were done 2 months prior by my personal mechanic. Then they said they did a alignment which was never done because they said the tire rod were frozen and you can't do a alignment if that's the case. Supposedly got it all done after 4 weeks of going back and forth to find out my son brought his truck home from college and said there is a sound coming from the front end to find out all his tires were loose and could've gotten hurt but I'm sure you won't post this because it's my 3rd review and none of which got posted. These guys are common day snake oil salesmen. My wife had a nail in her tire and stopped by on Saturday June 11th. The entire shop basically forced my wife to put on ONE garbage condition used tire. INSTEAD of just plugging her tire for $200!!! Thankfully I managed to speak with my wife in time and advised her to just have the incompetent "mechanics" replace the damaged tire with the donut. She tips the guy that did her $20 and that was that. And I'm glad because this place deserves to be demolished and turned into a parking garage. Let me tell you guys something; any shop that refuses to plug your tire due to "safety concerns" or BS "store policy" is inept. But even worse is that they would actually coerce my wife because she's a woman and not knowledgeable about automobiles and endanger her life by changing ONE single tire out. You're telling me you will refuse to plug a tire but will replace it entirely? How does that make sense? What kind of training are these autozone rejects receiving? And even funnier? Once I got on the phone with one of these "mechanics" they got all offended that I called them out on their snake oil salesmen tactics. The idiot I spoke with claims he's even doing this for 15 years. 15 years and you endanger a poor woman's life like that? To change ONE tire? This place is a disgrace and prey upon their consumers. I drove up today because I had a nail in my tire. The nail came out so I was leaking air quickly. I drove up to a bay, I told a worker what my issue was. He asked me to park in a spot, and walk inside to the office. I did as asked. When I walked inside, I waited in line, and when it was my turn I said "hello I have a nail and need a tire plug please" they said "we are booked today". I said "oh, he just asked me to come inside? Also it's just a plug" , they said "who said that? We we busy, they don't know". They then proceeded to go in the shop to yell at whoever said that to me. This service location is extremely unreliable. I have given them several opportunities to earn my trust and continued service. They have continually let me down. It all revolves around scheduling. They offer scheduled "appointments," then do not honor them upon arrival. I was told it would be a 3hr wait for an oil change even after I was confirmed a 10am appointment. If you question them about the situation, you are met with attitude. Why offer if you cannot deliver?! Excuses range from under-staffed to over-booked. We do not care, get the job done. Service our vehicles as you promise. I pay for oil change services for convenience, but my time is worth more than having to wait 2hrs+ for service. This is an update to my earlier, glowing review of this particular STS. Kevin is no longer here as of August 2015. There is a new manager and crew and it shows (and not in a good way.) I called last week to make an appointment. Spoke to a live person who gave me a date/time and confirmed the work. I show up the day of the appointment and no one is at the front desk, for like 20 minutes. Why? Because they were playing "basketball" into a garbage can in the garage. When the service advisor emerged from his games, he tells me I am not in the system. So I go over what work I need performed, multiple times (apparently he has ADD.) Then, he calls me later to update me and casually tells me his crew is not trained to do some of the work (even though the services are listed on their website etc.) I asked why he did not tell me this when I dropped off. Complete silence on the other end of the phone. Scary stuff. The best he could do is tell me to speak to his manager, Ramon. Ramon, if you are reading, your shop need some serious work and your front end needs a serious training course in customer service. read more

The guys here are not professional at all. My wife went in because the tires she bought from here 10 months ago, the front tires were wearing out unevenly. The first time she went in was for the same issue but she purchased the tires at another place but had lasted about two years. Since moving to the area not too long ago, she decided to this establishment. She ended up getting 4 tires and back shocks which they told my wife she needed. She went ahead and got them. 10 months later, i noticed that her front tire had a mark, as if she hit the curb.after further inspection, i noticed the front tires had uneven wear. I called the store explained the situation. They told be the couldn't help me because the tires were 10 months old and it did have a flat or loosing air. But they did say to bring it to them so they can see.this also with an extended useless warranty. My wife ended up taking it back and they told her she needed front shocks. After arguing the fact she paid extra to avoid these issues, the manager told my wife "well you do understand that 10 months is a long time for a pair of tores" meaning the life expectancy of tires is less then a year" I ended taking it to my mechanic in Brooklyn who mentioned since they are replacing the front struts, best practice is to replace the strut mounts which most likely caused the uneven wear if the front tires. There was also a knocking sound in the front which the tech Ian knew since they test drove car and determined it was the front shock. The manager was a bit arrogant and didn't see to have any intentions of determining the issue.. Have a few friends who had similar experience and recommended another nearby tire with better service and very knowledgeable. Never again read more
