The communication with me was terrible, I was the one who always had to ask for updates. When I finally lost my patience and told them that having the car for a week for an oil change is unacceptable I got an "Ok" in return. I would give 0 stars if it was an option. I've brought over 3 vehicles there this year. Every single time I've had to bring it back at least once. Sometimes even 8 times. They would fix it and then cause another issue. I would keep bringing the cars back because they would fix it for free as they should since they messed it up. But know it's gone too far. They destroyed the motor of my car. They can't even do a simple oil change. Idk what they do over there. But I've been a mechanic my whole life and I've never seen anything like this before. I brought them my work trucks. Where I'm not even paying the bill and have them fix it at any cost. Money isn't an issue. And they still screw something up. My one car spent more of the month there than at home or on the road. So when all the money can't even get you good service. Then I have no choice but to take all my business elsewhere. read more

I want to complement the owner of Anita Tire, Ari M., for stepping up to the problem I has with over-tightened lug bolts on my car. The torque specification for my car is 89 ft. lbs. One garage described one lug as being too tight to remove. This resulted in a keyed lug being stripped. The dealership which removed the "seized" lug told me the lugs Anita Tire installed after rotating my tires were torqued to over 200 ft. lbs. The lug had to be removed at the dealership by drilling out the lug. Fortunately, the plate was not damaged in the removal process. When Ari saw my initial review on Yelp, he responded that they would take care of the problem. Ari reimbursed me for the cost to remove the seized bolt. Successful business owners care about customers first. That is the reason people return year after year and become part of a devoted following. Thank you, Ari! read more

Bought in my car when the engine light appeared on the dashboard. They charged me over $200 to diagnose what was wrong. It sounded suspicious so I told them not to make any repairs but I paid the diagnostic fee. I bought it to a local trusted mechanic and found out that none of the items they said needed to be repaired were true. I will never go back here. The current Anita Tire is NOT the same as the one I dealt with back in 2010-2018. read more

It's so sad to see a successful business that's given great service over many years go wrong. I called for an appointment for front brakes as I've done before and a new guy demanded an $85 diagnostic fee that would be put toward the repair. $85 for the 2 minutes it takes to measure disc pads comes out to $2550 per hour. Don't use any service that charges a hostage fee. I no longer will be using Anita tire and it is a shame. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!! I am reporting this company to the better business bureau! I just had 4 TPMS sensors installed and within a day the warning light came back on. Took the car to Acura and they pulled all 4, found 2 physically broken and no signal from the other 2. They told me they couldn't look at it for 3 days. You read that right-3days! This was on a set of Michelin tires I purchased at Anita Tire. I drive pretty early model cars with around 150k+ miles, so it's pretty important that I have good mechanic. Anita Tire has become my go-to auto repair shop not only from my own experience, but the recommendation and experience from friends, as well. Most recently I came in with an alternator issue. They diagnosed the problem, recommended that I have the alternator and battery replaced, then quoted me a fair price for the work. It was sadly above my budget, but they worked with me to repair only the alternator. I had the battery installed at AutoZone. The staff is friendly, courteous and very helpful. Giving John K another shout out for his terrific service. The recent renovations have improved both the interior and exterior presentation and make waiting for my (hopefully infrequent!) repairs a pleasant experience. Overall, highly recommend. read more

I just want to say a special thank you to Anita Tires in River Vale. While driving to work I notice my headlight wasn't working. The next day I brought it in and told him I'm a nurse and needed my headlight fixed to go to work. I loved how they maintained social distancing and took my keys and placed them in a Ziploc bag and told me they wipe everything down w disinfectant. The car was ready in less than an hour and he told me don't worry about paying. I told him it's no problem to pay him. He replies "thank you for what your doing and if this anyway supports the people caring for the coronavirus, we want to support you guys". Can't thank everyone at Anita Tire enough. Was finishing checking the car before my daughter was heading back to school. One of the tire valve caps would not come off the stem. The stem snapped getting the cap off. Put the spare on and headed over to Anita. Got there twenty minutes before they closed. Turns out the tire valve is part of the tire sensor. Despite the late time, they were able to removed the tire, replace the sensor and reprogram everything. You guys were a life saver; thanks again. read more

It's so important to find an auto repair shop with all the above qualities. You need to be able to trust the shop you take your car to for service. Needed immediate service for a slow leak on tire, so I called around to 4 tire dealers, who all told me they were busy all day. I then called Anita's and the service was amazing, the manager told me bring the car over in an hour and we can look at it. I sat waiting for 30 minutes and the tire was repaired for a reasonable price. The team there was very friendly and I was able to watch tv in the waiting room while my tire was serviced. Today started out badly but ended on a good note. We discovered we had a slow leak on our front passenger tire on our way to Costco. We figured we'd kill two birds with one stone and get the tire replaced while we did our grocery shopping. Turned out that an appointment was needed to get the tire serviced by which 5:30 pm was the earliest they could accommodate us. We then tried our luck at a Mavis "Discount" tire store where we were told that the tire was unrepairable and needed to be replaced. Not only did they not have the tire size available but the "discount" tire they were offering us was of lesser quality than what was quoted by Costco but at a more premium price. We decided to just go to Anita's where we had bought the set of tires originally. I figured the service was so good the last time and we had gotten a really good price on the entire set of Continental. Since we've already put over 50,000 miles on them, I thought it was time for a new set. We brought in the car and after getting our information they said they'd take a look. Waited about an hour and thought they were replacing the tires. Doug came by wished me a nice day and said my car was waiting outside. Turned out there was a nail in the tire and they were able to fix it. Not only did I not have to pay for a new set of tire but they fixed the punctured one free of charge. In the days of mechanics and auto service establishments trying to cheat and take advantage of you, it's a breath of fresh air to come across one that doesn't. I am not writing this review because I'm grateful. It's being written because it's well deserved. read more

I brought my car here to find out what was wrong with it. I had it towed here, spoke to the manager, settled that they would do an hour of diagnosis which was $109. I got a call the next day that they put a new battery in and the car was FINE. They said everything was fine with it and it only needed a battery so they only charged me approximately $175 for the battery and installation. We drove it home and I didn't drive it again until a day later for work which all was fine until I was trying to drive home from a store and it literally died in the middle of a parking which jammed the entire lot as it was one long single lane strip of parking. I'm lucky the brakes work or else I would've hit another car but now I'm stranded in the middle of a parking lot. I called them to see if they could help me or tow me to the store which the first person i spoke to, John K. was very courteous and apologetic. The second time I spoke to them was the manager Dave and he was adamant that they were not at fault, they did everything correctly. They told me to tow it and pay it myself because they don't have a tow service. They weren't going to work with me to resolve the issue that they basically didn't fix the car at all and gave me a half assed job that was only enough to send the car away. They didn't run any tests, all they said was, "Hey, the battery worked and I know you said there were other issues and to check things but it runs so here you go." Once the car was not running again they basically told me this is all on me and that they will definitely be charging me $109 per hour for diagnosis. I ended up having three strangers help me push my minivan back into a spot and wait for a tow and took my business elsewhere. Bottom line: I would never bring any of my cars here for any sort of repair. They don't do a good job at finding out what's wrong with your vehicle and can't be bothered to help you. If you have a repair, take it to a real repair shop. I will not be back here ever again. read more

I called first thing this morning because I had an issue with my tire. They were very friendly and told me to come in at any time. When I arrived There was no wait, they were very friendly (Chuck) and explained what would most likely be done to fix the tire. They gave me a very reasonable estimate. They said they would call if it looked like any additional work was required. Tire was fixed within a couple of hours. It cost exactly what they said it would. Easy pleasant transaction. What a horrible experience I had with Anita Tire. they installed for brand new tires for me they replace the valve stems for what reason I do not know installed the incorrect ones stripped lug nuts and I have now been there 3 times and they still haven't rectified the issue. I now have a leaking tire at the valve stem and they asked me again to drop it off for again. totally inexperienced workers working on your car there are hundreds of better places than this to go to.
