Hey! I made them fix two of my tires because there were nails in them from a long road trip, they made me pay $140 for taking out a few nails and covering up the holes. After a few weeks, the same thing happened. I went to another work shop and they did the same exact thing for only $20, but they fixed one tire instead of two. I would not recommended, they overprice you. read more

Called because I knew there was a problem with the valve of the tire on my wife's car and asked if they could take a look, they said just bring it in and we'll squeeze you in the schedule. Brought the tire in 10 minutes later, they had it fixed in 5 minutes so I could take it home and put it back on the car. They are arguing with me when I am just leaving a review. The money was taken out of my car as I have explained before there is literally no reason for me to lie. On top of that the coorperate continuously lied to me then covered it up when they were caught up. The crew at this location also took me as an entire joke when I was very calm, cool, and collected and have a screenshot of the manager Jeff speaking with someone clearly thinking it was funny. I guess the positive is that they fixed the problem, the negative is that it took LITERALLY FOUR TRIPS to do so. Onward... The misses's AC began to blow warm, so, being semi-mechanically inclined, I take a look. OF COURSE, the first thing you think of is "recharge." SO, we shoot over to Walmart, and grab a can of freon. But upon checking the gauges, it says that we're full and don't need anything. I check all the hoses and connections. I make sure the compressor is kicking on and spinning. I check the tube to make sure its cold coming back into the cabin. Everything is good. I even check the condenser and don't see any major dings or anything. SO, now beyond MY capabilities, we swing by Mavis to let them take a crack. I FULLY explain everything I've done to it, and all the trouble shooting, and explain that I don't think its just a simple recharge. "Don't worry," they got it...... We get a call that the car is ready, and to come pick up the car. A "vacuum and recharge, $150" was performed. We get in, the AC is blowing cold, and we are on our way......until 10 miles down the road.....the AC temp is climbing steadily until its blowing out about 74/75 degrees. Not exactly frigid. SO, being that its the end of the day, we have to bring it back the next day to have them take another look. We pull in, they have NO idea who we are, and after explaining everything again, we leave the car a second time. We get a call later that day (again, around closing time), to come pick it up, as it was "fixed." (Side note, the guy doing all this, I believe 'Freddy,' was a self-proclaimed 'Honda Expert.) They just did another vac and recharge. This time when we arrive to pick it up, the shop is closed, but there is an employee in his car in the parking lot. (I think it was our Honda Expert.) We check the AC, and IMMEDIATELY notice it doesn't work. Bonus, the bumper on the front is hanging off slightly. We are in the parking lot, calling, looking through the glass to see if anyone might be left inside, etc.....and that's when our employee in the lot pulls off, leaving us sitting there. (NOW, I'm not saying he SHOULD have stopped to see what was up; maybe he had to pick up his kids, or get his insulin or something, but it would have been nice if he HAD.) I call corporate, leave a complaint and we pull off. I get a call the next day from the manager, with an attitude about how they didn't do anything to the bumper (they did), and to bring the car in for our third trip to get this right. This time, again, after re-explaining who I was, they actually LOOK at the damn thing, do some proper diagnostics, and come to the conclusion that there is a small leak in the condenser. We took too long calling them back, so when we got them, they said they couldn't do anything, since it was after 12, and parts couldn't be bought. So we have to get the car and bring it BACK for our FOURTH trip. Fourth time, the service was actually completed, for $450 plus tax. They magnanimously didn't charge us for the vac and recharge, since we already paid for that. So far, the AC is holding (or so I believe....its not my car. It's the wifes.) But after a week of back and forth, multiple "fixes," where they didn't even drive the damn car down the street to see if the car was ACTUALLY fixed, and just shoddy customer service and interaction, I doubt we'll be using them for anything else in the future. It sucks because that place used to be GREAT when it was an STS Tire, but then Mavis bought them out and set about destroying all the goodwill. read more

Don't believe a word these losers say. I went in too late in the day to have a tire replaced and was told I could leave the car, and Ronny told me "first thing tomorrow he'd handle it himself" and they'd have me "on my way by (about) 8:30". I was politely adamant about needing it early, since I needed to make a six-hour trip to VA the next day. I suggested twice that if there was a chance they couldn't keep their promise, I would have to go elsewhere. Ronny assured me I was in good hands. I dropped the car off and paid Uber to take me home. Next morning, I returned at 8:00, waited ten minutes for them to open, and asked if they were going to start on my car. (Don't get ahead of me here). Of course, no Ronny. Nobody had any idea of why my car was there, and that two people were ahead of me. After informing them I was going to leave this review, I left, infuriated, running out of time and needing a tire. After a few calls, I found the only place that could take me in, which charged twice as much as Mavis (I guess having honest, competent help adds to overhead). I BARELY made it on time to my appointment in VA, with no spare time to even stop for coffee along the way Thanks for nothing, Mavis. read more

WOW - The 2 Service advisers - Mike and Michael were great. This past Saturday I got towed in from I676 in New Jersey (close to Cooper Hospital) and upon arrival my vehicle was immediately taken in to determine the extent of damage. As it turned out, the "large" pothole I encountered left a serious dent on my rear passenger wheel (possibly) requiring a new wheel. I asked the mechanic if he had a "BFH" (mechanic term) to which he stated "Let me try to heat it up and bang it out to get you back on the road. Within 15 minutes the mechanic signaled with a "thumbs up" then reinstalled the wheel/new tire. The service adviser's did reiterate that I look to get that wheel attended to as soon as possible. All in all (IMO) of 5 Stars is not a high enough score to depict my experience at this establishment. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! read more

I'm not sure where to start. I had decided I needed a set of tires so I started to look around. I had done some initial research online but when I was driving past Mavis I decided to stop and ask a few questions. The service man behind the counter was very helpful and gave me several different prices. He did not offer his opinion on which tires he feltwould be appropriate. After taking all of those prices I went back online and searched several different tires with several different manufacturers. Ultimately I found a nicer set of tires on Mavis's website which I could have shipped directly to the store. I decided to buy the tires and schedule my appointment for 10 AM the following day. That evening I received a phone call from the store letting me know that they would not have the tires until later that afternoon. I was fortunate because I wasn't working and was able to accommodate. I left my car there from 10 AM and did not receive it back until after 5 PM. Later that day I noticed that every time my car hit 50 mph I had a noticeable shake in the steering wheel. After doing some research I found out the main reason for vibrations is unbalanced tires. I took them back to Mavis to have them looked at the tires. My car has now sat at Mavis for roughly 12 hours over two visits in order to have the tires properly installed. For pricing online I would recommend, however make sure you test your car immediately because obviously they are too busy to ensure correct installation. read more

Had a flat and a warranty it's a sidewall damage so it can't be patched they said there's 2 people ahead of me I asked if they could just remove tire since I don't have my jack I had a full sized spare... they said no it's a waste of time.... it takes all of 10 mins to jack up remove install and tighten lugs I know since I do it almost every week. I had to get back to work and they were very rude like it was a waste of time. Very upset now it's an hour and a half later still here and my cars not inside still. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!! Wish I could give zero stars based upon my experience with the manager Eugene at the Delran location. I went there 1st thing this morning to have my tire repaired after running over a small screw. Upon my arrival Eugene asked to see the flat tire and after his inspection he advised that the tire could not be plugged because it had been driven on!!! The car was literally pulled out driveway picked up the screw and immediately began to lose pressure and went flat. It was driven less than 20 yards and because of some superficial scuffs marks on the sidewall, that was his justification for him refusing to plug it, but Eugene was more than willing to price me a new tire! I could understand if the car had been driven some distance on a flat, but that was not the case ! The current tires have a least another 20-25 thousand miles on them. I've purchase over four thousand dollars worth of tires from this establishment in the past couple of years for my various cars only to have Eugene try to hustle me. BTW went to another establishment down the street and they repaired the tire with no problem without bringing up any of the bogus nonsense Eugene was trying. The tire is fine!! I've never dealt with Eugene before and it was a completely negative experience!!! I guess they're only interested in your business if they can charge you hundreds/thousands of dollars!!! I've been driving for 35 years. This isn't my 1st flat tire and I've had plenty plugged. Shame on you Eugene for insulting my intelligence. Save that for people who don't know about cars. Who knows what other customers Eugene has cost you with his dishonesty??!! He has most certainly cost you this one!! read more

Change from my previous review. Mavis Tire in Delran has worked with me to repair the error that was made during headlight installation, fixing the connector at no charge to me. They were courteous and professional in handling this issue. They also repaired a nail that was found in my tire. I appreciate their service, and will continue to do business with this location. Mistakes happen, they're inevitable in any business. How you handle them is what really matters. Mavis came away with a gold star on this one. Thank you folks. Go elsewhere if you value your car! Earlier this week I purchased tires through the Mavis website, I arrived early am today to simply leave my car and pick up it up when completed.... Now understand I only came in for replacement tires and a possible oil change. After confirming the appointment and the particulars on my vehicle the conversation immediately turned to doing an alignment. I declined and indicated that the vehicle had recently had a front end alignment. They insisted that the alignment should be checked at least every (6) month. Again I declined and moved on by asking if they would price match a current competitor's oil change coupon....... the front desk then went into slow motion all I could hear were crickets, then some more crickets, finally the counter person turned to another counter person, possibly the manager? and asked will we match it?. This person shrugged his shoulders then mumbled in the affirmative but with an attitude that sounded less than customer friendly. Had I not already ordered these tires I would have walked away at this point. Fast forward an hour I get a call that there is an issue with my vehicle. I'm 5 minutes away shopping when the call came in so I head to the store. When i get there I was told by a man named "E" that one of my tires was missing a TPMS sensor and said device needed to be replaced...... Yes it was missing as in not there and the TPMS light was now illuminated on the dash. What this person didn't know is I purchased this car as a Hyundai factory certified vehicle 3 years ago. Until this morning this car has had the same tires on it that I purchased it with, said tires have been balanced and rotated multiple times at the dealer. Never once was a tire removed from the rim so You do the math..... I had No issues, no TPMS light on when the vehicle rolled into Mavis. Now after the Mavis tire person removed the tire I'm now missing the TPMS sensor and the TPMS light on the dash is illuminated. I explained to "E" that it was my feeling that it must have been damaged in removing the tire because there is no way Hyundai would have been able to sell that vehicle as Factory Certified with the TPMS sensor missing or the dash light illuminated. "E" neither confirmed or denied my suggestion and simply shouted to the tire person, "You drove it in with the dash light on right?" I could see that this was going to be a case of my word against the word on the tire man and "E", so I simply told him to mount and balance the tire because I would not pay them to fix something that I strongly suspect they damaged. Long story short, I drove down to the Hyundai dealer afterwards ordered and paid for the part $127 (sensor wasn't in stock) The replacement sensor will be in stock and installed by the dealer(extra cost) on Wednesday. As a consumer and someone w/working knowledge of automobiles I urge you to take your money and your vehicle elsewhere and save yourself having to wade through needless rhetoric (in addition I was told my brake pads were wearing uneven and my battery needed replacement) all this needless up selling of services (in my case) amounts to total BS in addition to their very poor customer service. I'll sum this up by saying that this was an awful buying experience and I feel compelled to reiterate..... Shop elsewhere; don't waste your hard earned money at this location. read more

Go 1/4 mile down the road to Firestone. Pricing is similar and service is top notch Service at STS is horrendous. If you dont have a problem with your car or can't define the problem they could care less to help you. The people are miserable (unless your friends with them then they show them a whole other side). I have owed this place a good review for a while now. I started coming here after my overpriced former place made an appointment for me and then didn't show. I was always afraid to go anywhere because I didn't want to get taken advantage of or not be taken seriously. I don't have to worry about either of those things happening here. Jay and Matt, the managers, are great. They are honest and up front and I never feel like they are overcharging me. They have helped me on numerous occasions.
