Horrifying!!! I have a pretty much brand new car around 15,000 miles on a full size SUV. I figured a tire company could do an alignment I was WRONG! Multiple issues with the experience. I went in for tire balance - (they did NOT filed my tires according to the "ride suggestion on door), they did MAX PSI per tire. They came to me and said your alignment is out and did the salesman thing. I finally said ok, again figuring they would do correctly, or at worse not aligned exactly, I now know what all damage can be done by not doing an alignment correctly. I had find myself horrified with the fact that 3 of 4 bolts were NOT tight on front axle. The one on my left lower control arm was able to be moved just with your hand! 2 of the 3 other had lots of wrench torch left to be done. It than ruined my cam on lower control arm driving it only couple hundred of miles and 4 days. Thank God I was like this is not right, and stopped to have car lifted and looked at. It could have eventually come apart and I would have wrecked! Took to local GMC dealer my air suspension was not acting right on top of handling, to have checked further and found needed replacement parts. When contacted Mavis in Dillsburg they wanted to see and had more time and miles in going back again. They pushed for me to have them to the work and there was NO way that was happening. I had cam and bolts fixed asap that parts were in and took bill expecting bill payment. Chris was not available at that time, left old parts and inv. from GMC, told them I would be back in 2 or 3 days for refund. When I arrived I now find out that it will not be refunded by store but rather corporate. (The whole time we asked for corp info and Chris kept saying better to work with me, so ok at this point). Now I learn that the bill I had to front for close to $1,000 now had to wait for. I insisted corp info and called them. To my surprise, they was to prioritize until customer calls in. (are you kidding me) It has now been a month and I have yet to receive a call from corp in regards to the matter. It has been 2 weeks since I had to pay bill for cam fixed and still no refund. Now on top of this I had seen when showing me alignment I noticed it said no air ride suspension. I mentioned this has AIR ride. Oh ok, I will check. On photo of completed alignment I noticed now since all this time, they did the alignment with the NO AIR RIDE. Which is extremely had on suspension and through research found the damage or wear this could cause! It still is not handling correctly which I was told by GMC it could have oblonged my holes on my frame. You have to be kidding me!! read more

Had a Mavis (elsewhere) give me the wrong tire size, noticed that my ride was rough and my speedometer was off, double checked the paperwork-- to my dismay 225/60/16 instead of OEM 225/65/16. Dillsburg shop corrected what the other shop dingled up. NO CHARGE. They gave my pups love and water, they did it all in under :60 mins, and the shop has ample seating, and a kids play area. We were just starting our vacation. Got a flat, pulled in to mavis and had a new tire and back on the road in 30 minutes. Amazing!!!

took my pretty new truck here .. to get oil change and tire rotation ..ask if they could do it without nicking up my new rims ..told they can . i said are you sure ..sure we are .. so now my one rim is nicked. talk to the manger and said he would get back to me . its 2 weeks later nothing . thought these guys were a honorable place .. but looks like maybe i was wrong ..should at least got back to me .. be verry careful with painted rims .. i should have knew better read more

Update: new management fixed my husbands car and free of charge since previously paid and they did nothing but mess it up. So, that was nice and much appreciated to correct past mistake. Now, just need to have them fix my car. I have little confidence in the work that they are doing here. I brought my car in for a state inspection. The wait until it was complete was over 24 hours even though I had made an appointment. And I don't mind that if they let you know upfront, but when I called to ask they said it should be done in a couple of hours. That is the frustrating part that they don't seem to have any idea of how long it'll take them to complete a task and no updates them on the way to let me know it would be a lot longer. shortly after getting the inspection, I have also notice different indicator lights coming on my vehicle for no reason. Particularly, whenever I break the oil light comes on. I have checked the oil and replaced it and it still continues to come on. In addition, my husband has been here twice to get his tires replaced and both times he left with indicator lights coming on his tires and them not properly putting the tires on. Looking at the other reviews, I wish we would've read them first before coming here. read more

Mavis is a joke, i made 2 appointments for new tires and both times after they took off the tires they realized that didn't have them. when lost the keys and i got mad the the mechanic came after me. And then said he was impounding my car. then the keys were found. Warning do go to this place . read more

Took my vehicle into the shop to have an alignment performed. They "performed" my alignment but during that time they also scratched 3 of my less than 3 month old powder coated and ceramic coated wheels. I told them about it the very following day and I provided pictures and proof of the scratched wheels. Chris was the manager who wouldn't talk to me inside the store and asked me to step outside away from customers. I showed him all of the pictures and he also agreed that the scratches definitely came from the wheel heads. He asked me to provide him estimate to have the wheels powder coated, and told me to go get it taken care of. Luckily for me I know these people like Chris and companies that pull these schemes. Which shows a perfect example of this exactly happening. I did not get it done(yet). I provided them the proof that I just had the wheels powder coated. I provided them a itemized estimate to have the wheels powder coated because all 4 of the Wheels needed to be powder coated even though only 3 of them were scratched. There are differences and variances in the powder coat composition and if only doing 3 of them there could be a chance that the 4th one would actually be a different color, so all 4 need to be re-done. I tried to work with them and just gave them a quote to have the wheels powder coated. I didn't even ask for reimbursement to Dismount the tires, the time and fuel to take the wheels to the powder coating shop. Then take those Wheels back to a tire mounting place to have the tires mounted, and balanced, with new valve stems, And then after that they would have needed to be ceramic coated. They completely went ghost on me. They will not respond to phone calls, emails, or text messages. I am now forced to have to take them to court because now, here, 2 weeks later I've driven my vehicle now for the 2nd time since picking it up from having the alignment "done" and was hearing a rather loud clunking noise coming from the rear of the vehicle. After returning from my trip I was able to inspect the vehicle and found that the forward rear lower control arm bolt was loose. So now I have to get another alignment done because they never performed the alignment right the first time and They never paid for the damaged Wheels even though they said they would. I Would not recommend this place at all to anyone! Stay away if you care about your vehicle. They're just here to damage your personal property that you work very hard for. They (specifically Chris) will lie straight to your face the entire time. read more

Short staffed and operating in chaos. Employees quitting everytime I've been there. Scheduled a state inspection a week ahead and inspector quit the day before, so I had to schedule somewhere else. Today, they couldn't properly handle a single trailer tire that I dropped a day before. I called and they said they were just starting it (24 hours after I dropped it off). I get there and the tire is mounted, but no invoice, didn't even have the work order started. I gave all my info the day before. I pay, then realize they hadn't balanced the tire or replaced the the valve stem. Then they balanced the tire and still didn't replace them stem, then tried to argue about it. I get home and the tire has 7 wheel weights and all are counter balancing each other. Worst tire shop I have ever seen, i use to work in and own tire stores. Avoid this place if at all possible. I don't usually trash a place, but when I do, there is a very good reason! read more

Wish I could put negative 10 for this store. Terrible service!!! Dropped my car at 3:30 pm for an 8:00 am appointment to get 2 tires replaced. I had to call 3 times to see when my car would be done. Finally picked up my car at 4 pm. The manager only made excuses and never apologized. It was my work vehicle and I needed it that day. They put people who waited in store ahead of an appointment. I dropped the night before for their convenience, and to make sure I was priority. When I dropped my vehicle at 3:30 there were 2 techs taking a smoke break, no cars in their 5 bays, and no cars parked near the bays to be worked on. read more

I purchased new tires and my truck started shaking at 55 mph. I took the truck back and they balanced the tires again. They stated if it still shakes, we will have to do an alignment. The truck still shook at 55+. I took the truck to Walmart instead and they found a lug nut missing. What a waste of time on my part but glad the guys at Walmart fixed the problem. read more

I brought my car to Mavis because I had a clicking sound in the left back end of my car. After they looked at it I was told I needed back rotor s and brake pads and I also needed front rotors and break pads. I told them I just had my car there a little over a month ago and they were supposed to replace the front and the back rotors and brake pads. Well I come to find that my back rotors and brake pads were replaced and they only replaced the front brake pads and not the rotors. Yet I was charged over $1,000 for it. Because the pads were changed in the front and not the rotors The rotors ripped through the front brake pads causing me to now need rotors and pads. I was also told I needed two new tires in the back which I ended up having them replace. The manager gave me a discount on the tires and didn't charge me for the diagnostic fee. However I was pissed that they didn't offer to do my front rotors and brake pads for free since it was their fault to begin with that I had to get rotors and new front brake pads. I don't think I would be writing this review if they would have offered to do the free front brake pads and rotors. By definitely will not be going back to them. read more

Took my car in for new tires, alignment and inspection. When I went in they did my tires, balanced and did inspection. Said they wouldn't do my alignment until I came back after replacing parts for the rear. Got home and my fiance noticed my aftermarket rims were chipped, scratched and all jacked up. I for-warned them they needed special care because they were aftermarket and didn't. When I went back after replacing said parts because I wasn't paying there prices they wanted me to replace more. I told them to forget the inspection because I was getting angry at that point and said to do my alignment so I can leave and I'll go elsewhere for my inspection. Did my alignment and asked for a print out and claimed the printer was broken and couldn't do it. Said do my alignment again so I can have a picture on my phone and I'll print it myself at home. Not realizing until I got going down 15 which is a busy highway as it is, the guy doing said alignment and inspection left my hood unlatched. Called and raised hell about it. They also wanted ME to take my car elsewhere to fix my rims from there mess up. Got ahold of customer service and talked to the regional manager and still nothing is resolved. It's been almost 3 weeks. I can't go down a highway because of a bad shake in the front. I will not recommend to anyone. I will go back to have my balancing and alignment fixed.
