WOW! Class act all the way! Had found my van had a flat. Was at airport 5pm. Called to tell them I would stop by for repair. Aghhh! Stupid parking gate stopped working. Finally mobile 5:40 Pm. Got there at 5:50 (close at 6). Tried to repair tire but it had TWO HOLES! Aghhh! Ok they had 1 tire in stock that fit. OMG.... Like an Indiana Jones movie! It was a snowy Sunday afternoon in Jan. Wife's tire was loosing air. I took the tire here and by the time I walked to get coffee the tire was finished. I was a service manager (Ret.), so I usually enter a shop through the garage door. I know that is not safe but I can tell a lot about a shop by being in it. The guys were friendly. Sadly I've popped one too many tires in my days. Came here twice to get new tires (all four the first time and just one the second) and I was able to get my car back the same day. Surprising since they were pretty packed. Gave me an estimated time and it was very accurate. It was only a simple tire change though to be fair. I'm not sure the price of other places but I'm pretty happy with the price I paid here. Always had a friendly interaction with the guys here. OMG. This is my go to place for my car repairs. Since the first time I walked in everyone has been so knowledgeable friendly professional and very considerate of customers time. I love this place if there is nothing to be done they will let you know they don't just try to take money from you if it's a repair that needs to be done or if it's something that can wait for another date they will let you know that as well and not stress you out just to make a sale. They did $160 alignment on my BMW without approval. When I questioned it they acted indignant. I was right next door having lunch while they were doing the work and instead of calling me and asking me if I wanted the alignment they just went ahead and did it. read more

I woke up this morning with a flatter than flat flat tire. I was able to get the three older kids packed up and to school after airing up myself but the tire kept losing air by the minute. I called a few stores to see if anyone would possibly be able to get me in and fixed by the first school pickup at 11:30 and this location said they might! I rushed over with my baby and they got us in immediately. They did not try to needlessly upsell me anything. They were kind, fast, and affordable. I went to The Mavis Shop on Mcdade Blvd and asked to have my battery tested. They never tested the battery they just talked me into getting a new for 380$ dollars. Bye the time I got home my Cadillac Escalade would not start..!?? So I called the Shop and was told!? Oh just bring it back and we will check it out. So I said no thanks!! If I could give negative stars I would. They caused my car to catch fire! I took my car here for an oil change, picked it hours later and when driving home I smelt something funny. I called them and explained, they apologized to me and asked me to come back. While on my way back my car caught fire and burnt to the ground, while I was at a red light sitting there. Never thought I'd pay for an oil change and have my car burn to the ground. The worse is that this company although admitting fault, hasn't even offered me a refund or any kind of assistance. I'm grateful I'm okay but I pray that they learn from this and learn to respect their customers. If you go here, make sure your ready to take the risk. read more

This review is for Mavis as a whole..their appointment system is useless. I made an appointment online at the Clifton Heights Mavis for an inspection. I had a small window as I just moved back to Pa and registered my car and had 10 days to get it inspected. But I had to go to Delaware for 2 weeks so had to get it done sooner. When I got to Clifton Heights they told me they didn't do inspections..they have no certified inspectors! They suggested that I must have made the appt for Glenolden. When I got there, they told me I had no appt there. I then checked my Mavis confirmation and it WAS in Clifton Heights. I then made an appt for 2 days later at Glenolden for an inspection. I confirmed it the afternoon before. Nobody asked me if I wanted to drop it off or wait for it. I assumed an inspection was an hour at most. When I got there on time they told me there were four cars ahead of me and it would be quite a wait but he would try to expedite it. Four! Hours later It was finished. Only needed a new gas cap..it was loose? Why in the world they bother to make appts if they have no idea how long the wait will be is beyond me. I was supposed to drive to De that day but had to postpone. If I had any idea that an appt had no meaning time wise, I never would have made one! And they should fix their website so that you can't make an appt for an inspection if they have no inspectors! Maybe I'll start taking inspection appts on my business website, just for fun! When ask Liz her answer for everything is I'm working by myself and training a new employee that was her excuse for not communicating with me and giving me updates on my car that was dropped off 8 AM Tuesday morning but not ready until closing Thursday. Made appointment 4 days ago, asked to bring car up at 8 in the morning. Dropped it off at 8 for two new tires. Was told that it would take around a few hours. 3p.m. and still no call. 7 hours waiting for a call and nothing. Finally went to pick my car up, and still no tires. Fed up. Will never go back there. Been to BJ's and never had to wait for hours to have new tires put on my car. The two gentlemen there were nice, but not too organized. Stay away from this place they ruined 2 of my cars . My BMW went in for work they charged me 2100.00 in repairs and came out needing more work then went in for and they made up some stupid story that the car has to readjust itself and if the problem continues to bring it back mind you the car was back in their shop the next available day. The car didn't go in with the problems the car now had. It was ruined so bad I had to trade in the car. Before I traded the car in had another mechanic look at the car who said they never connected a hose and didn't do what the car went in for which resulted in other codes showing up on the diagnostic read. Now unbeknownst to me my daughters car went in 3 months ago for hesitation after she paid money for that her car came out with the same problem and sounded like a motor boat she took it back in and told she needed belt and she was told she needed an oil change. The next day the sound was louder and the check engine light went on and a warning light came on indicating car was in serious engine damage and car sounded like it was flooding. Had to have the car towed backed because it couldn't drive it was shutting down. When the tow truck driver came had him check my oil to make sure there was oil in the car thinking maybe this was the reason for my daughters car troubles the tow driver check to make sure there was oil in the car. The tow driver who also works on cars said Mavis put too much oil in over filling it which can cause your cylinders to misfire and said your car is flooding with oil and said he doubts they changed the oil. So now back at Mavis and do you believe the ignorant manager Kyle had the nerve to tell us all cylinders were misfiring and it's going to cost ME 1000.00 to fix. WHAT!?!?!!??. They are the ones that worked on this car and the car wasn't doing this before it went in. They must think my head screws off. They told us it's because of the cars age. The car is 5 years old it's a 2016. Their mechanics are horrible it's a turnover house for repairs so much work not a lot of mechanics snd the mechanics they do have I question the credibility so work is not done right. So they ruined 2 cars so far. I called the police to make a report, reporting them to the Better Business, called channel 6 to do a report and taking them to court. PLEASE STAY AWAY.
