My car's alignment had issues ever since I got new tires from Pep Boys (who completely fumbled through it all). Took it in for an alignment. A check was conducted first, I was then called and informed about what's wrong and that we should do an alignment. Cost etc was discussed up front at time of arrival. Incidentally, the alignment was not 100% right and requested the Palmers at Meineke Exton to take a look again. Not only did they fully agree to take a look, they also did not charge for the redo. Bill Palmer, the shop manager, is extremely polite, professional and patient, taking the time to explain everything and answering every question I had. I want Exton & nearby areas folks in need of any auto care to know that this Meineke location operated by the Palmers is GREAT. Customer experience is top priority and you can feel it first hand. There are a lot of auto care shops around but this one steals the show. I personally would continue coming here for all my needs and would recommend the same to all friends and family including at work. read more

I scheduled an appointment through the Meineke website, and I was turned away when I showed up for my appointment. I drove 20 minutes this morning for this place because I remember having a good experience here before. I was told that service was walk-in only. Staff said my appointment "wasn't in the system." I double checked that my appointment was indeed for the day and time that I arrived. It was confirmed through email. Why was I confirmed for an appointment when there was no intention of honoring it? This was an enormous waste of my time. read more

Honestly, I am super skeptical of auto repair places. I have had some experiences which really make me distrust a lot of places. I had just made an appointment with the Pep boys across the street the day before and when I came in to get my battery checked and potentially replaced they said that I was scheduled for the next day. Needless to say I was not happy. It could have been my mistake but I have a feeling the lady on the other side was in the wrong. Anyway I did a search on Yelp and found Meineke and called in got the appointment without having to wait! That is amazing since I called another place before to see if I could get in. I was in and out in about 50 minutes after getting my car checked and installing a new battery. All in all I really appreciated how quick they were able to see me because I had to go to NJ Shore the next day. Thanks Meineke! read more

This place was recommended by another place for an exhaust repair. They said Bill will do it for a lot less than we can because we can only replace everything (because it was welded). They were right about about the price, it was 2/3 less. I agree with all the other positive reviewers, I found this place to be honest, pleasant and finished on time. Best meineke I have ever been to. The guys here are honest, which can be hard to find these days in this field. Customer service is exceptional and prices are always reasonable. I have never been let down by this meineke and will be a customer for life. If you have a question or check engine light they will happily help diagnose the problem for you for free. Exton Meineke is by far the worst auto shop I have ever went to and I will never come back here ever again. Back in August of last year, I took my car here for new brake pads and rotors, and in March of this year for inspection. Just yesterday I took my car to a transmission shop for a grinding noise thinking it was the transmission. It turns out that the transmission was fine, it was the wear indicator on the supposedly new brake pads that were supposed to have been changed out on the driver's side. What happened was they only changed out the pads on the front right side and didn't do the pads on the other side which was why it was making that noise. That is not all, they are highly unprofessional. The two times I made the appointments which were for early in the morning, they said they would be done by lunch time. Each time they weren't done until after 6pm when they were supposed to close. Back in March for inspection (which includes checking the brake pads for wear) when I picked up my car, they purposefully parked my car next to the front door leaving my car unlocked with the key in the ignition instead of using a parking space, locking the doors and handing me my key at the front desk like what everyone else does and should do. I also found grease stains that weren't there before all over the driver side floor mats, seat, and door. The biggest issue wasn't leaving my car unlocked and stained, it wasn't finishing my car almost 8 hours later than they said they would be done (over promising and under delivering). It was that they only changed out the brake pads on the front right side when they were supposed to do both on the front as I stated earlier. The uneven wear of the break pads could have led to a serious or even fatal accident! Lives are at stake when it comes to brakes. This review may be long and negative, but I think it is very necessary to let people know my experience here with Exton Meineke so they can make an informed decision to find a shop to get their car worked on. The work done on them can be life or death. I would recommend everyone to never take their car here to Exton Meineke. The prices may seem to be reasonable for the services they are supposed to do, but they are disorganized, unprofessional, incompetent, and negligent. It is not worth it to trust your lives and your kids lives to them if they can't even change out all of the front brake pads instead of just one side (which all come in the same box by the way) which could of resulted in an accident. And no, i would not recommend Exton Meineke to a friend. read more

I was introduced to this shop by my auto tax agent when I moved here. The cost of state auto inspection and emission test is reasonable. However, they used the low price to attract customers and then tried to fail my vehicle to force me pay 700-800 repair. Before I went to this shop last year, I just had a major service with my Toyota dealership two months before. So I was confident with my 2006 Toyota Highlander. I don't believe there was a major issue that could fail my car. So I refused to let them to repair it with over 700 dollars and insisted that my car should be fine. So they let me go. At that time, I thought they passed my car because they didn't say anything about if it fails or not. I was here from Iowa where there is no inspection, so I didn't pay any attention about the inspection until one day I got a ticket from Philadelphia city parking that my car didn't pass the test. Then I know my car failed. The people there was rude after I complained that they should tell me they didn't let my car pass. I didn't do any repair since and now I went to my dealership to do inspection. Surprising to me, my car passes now without any problem without any repair. So I believe this shop just tried hard to rip you off by failing the inspection. I don't trust this shop and prefer my dealership even though it is 20-30% higher in price. read more

This is a family run business, which obviously, are my fave kind of places. I saw a coupon in my mail for this shop, so I called and took my car the same day. I needed the mechanic to remove my front license plate ( from California) which is an extra service, basically, and they were super cool about that. I did have to get some minor type stuff fixed before they passed me, but that's cool too. I liked that I just... brought it to them, no appointment necessary. They're super nice, I definitely recommend these guys. read more

The Meineke in Exton is the rare auto body shop you can trust. I have been taking my car into this shop for 10 years and have never felt that they are anything less than 100% honest in their evaluations and they never try to push anything. They are fair with their pricing and have not charged me when they have run diagnostics and not found anything wrong. The owners, Bill and Susan are very friendly and remembered my name and my husbands name after only a few visits. Like many mechanics they can get very busy on Saturday's, but they always stay late past their posted hours to get everyone's car done. read more

DO NOT USE! TOOK LONG, TOO MUCH MONEY, THEY USED LOW QUALITY PRODUCTS. I just moved to the area and needed repairs. Took a chance with a place close to my house. I needed them to do an oil change, new breaks and headlight bulb replacement. It took them 2 hours for just the oil change even though I had made an appointment. The headlights only last a week before they burnt out and "brand new breaks" didn't even past inspection a year later. They take forever and they use junk! It also wasn't cheap! I only gave this place two stars because the staff has always been consistently friendly. First, I took my car here to get a dead headlight changed. About a month later, the bulb they put in died. I chalked it up to a lemon bulb (rather than thinking they were using shoddy quality crap) and had to go back to get it changed again. Which they did with no issues. Fine. Then I make an appointment for my state inspection and arrive a bit before the appointment time. I told them I would be waiting there while they did the work. They didn't take my car back until I had been sitting there for FIFTY minutes, so I asked how long it would take and they say 'oh an hour and a half.' Let me understand this-- I make a pre scheduled appointment, I'm waiting there, and you don't even bring my car back to start the inspection until I've been there almost an hour??!! Suffice it to say I've had it with this place. Take your car elsewhere unless you enjoy spending long hours in a depressing waiting room. read more
