They evaluated the damaged tires thoroughly and even found 2 damaged studs in the process. Genuinely enjoyed the positive work environment and the team's honesty, perspective, and advice. I've come here three times in the last several months. Each and every time I have come here the staff especially Salvatore has been extremely nice. The waiting room is clean and neat. My car is throughly looked over, and my tires are checked and balanced. If you need to get air in your tires Mavis has a FREE air pump anyone can use. I have bought 6 tires from Mavis, and I will say they have been very fair in their pricing with me. Each time I come I'm given a break on the price. The Warren Mavis is never super crowded. It's easy to get your car in and out. Somethings do take an hour, to an hour and a half but they do have a TV and you can wait or you can drop it off. You can even purchase your tires online and for a fee Mavis will put them on your vehicle. It is highly recommended that if you do this you get an alignment to go with the new tires. Unprofessional, Bad Customer Service, not trustworthy, bad crisis management too! Okay, this is my experience. Few months ago, I went there once, waited for about 2 hour and 1/2 hours and finally got my tires replaced, and brake pads replaced. (So I thought it was a good service, and may be giving the 5 star, and be a regular customer since I work close to this place.) Then I have another car, I thought of giving them to fix again. This time is totally bad, like 180 degree change, bad experience. Monday, (First Strike) - I first called them first, got the quote. They said bring the car in, drop it off, will be done by 3:30pm, (because I work close by, so I decide to do so). Then they called me saying they get the wrong part for my SUV. I went back around 3:30pm and tried to pick up my car and they are closing up the tires and said they can't do it today because they got the wrong part., and advised me to bring it back tomorrow. The manager literally said "See you tomorrow". So I trusted him, the next day, Tuesday (Second strike) - I went there first thing in the morning around 8am. The door was not opened until 8:15am, the manager wasn't there, only the assistance manager which was useless. I left my car there thinking they have the part and all the info. and I should be able to pick it up today. Lo and behold, I called the shop and the ass. manager said the shop manager was not in today, and there was no mechanic available and asked me to bring it back tomorrow again. I asked if he can contact the manager, the ass. manager simply said no mechanic is available, very rude and he called me rude. I told him i was promised two times and he had nothing about it, didn't even try. So, I went back and picked up my car with nothing done and guess what, I saw two mechanics working on other cars but mine!! Shouldn't mine be high priority? (I guess they want to lose me as customer - was about to give them about $1000 brake pads, rotors fixed, guess they didn't care!) Wednesday (Third strike) - The manager Lashawn finally called to apologize but guess what time he called. He called me around 4:30pm. Isn' t that too late? If I drove that car, and if I changed my mind, I could have dropped it off today, and have it done before end of day. But this call basically is asking me to bring it tomorrow! So, what is there is some sort of emergency tomorrow again? If he was sincerely apologizing, he could have called me first thing in the morning so I can have it done today. But that is way too late. It is modern cry wolf. This place cannot be trusted!! What kind of service is it? First you promise customers same day, then you said wrong part, then asked Customer to come back the next day, then the manager (Lashawn - however you say it) did not show up, and no mechanic was available to do it. I wasted 2 days for this crappy service. The called me late in third day, and expected me to bring it back the forth day?! What if there is another emergency in forth day? I will never go back to them again even if I have to pay the dealer more money... (or go to other shop)! You may have seen lots of good reviews, but one bad review from me will be enough to lose one customer or more.. I was thinking to be the regular customer, but because this incident, I don't think i would go there any more! read more

I had an appointment to change all 4 tires. I was told it would take about an hour to an hour and a half. I decided to wait in the shop. I waited for 3 hours and never got a straight answer as to how long it would take. Unprofessional and not caring about your time. Update: Had to return back to the shop after they installed my tires because they never programmed my pressure sensors. Update #2...Back at the tire shop because I lost pressure in two of my tires after driving for 20min. The shop tech admitted that the tech that installed those tires, installed them incorrectly. Update #3...Had to return Sunday morning to have another tech reprogram the sensor because after leaving the shop Saturday evening at 7:30pm, they didn't program the sensors correctly. So to change 4 tires: 1:30pm to 7:30 PM and another hour spent the next day - 7 hours wasted. read more

I drove by this place and didn't realize they were open yet. I've lived in the area for years and was excited to see this place finally come to life. I walked in to ask a few simple questions and Mike was more than helpful and was even able to get me in that same day. 4 brand new tires at a reasonable price and the service was fast. They also did a full inspection on the vehicle and I believe his name was Luis came out to advise me of a few things my car could use. Not once did I ever feel like he was pressuring me into getting work I didn't need but I opted to get a few things taken care and they even found a couple of coupons to drop the price even more. So I brought my car to this repair shop, which sat for an entire day with no phone call or status update. The following day I called to find out the status of my car, and STILL, they hadn't looked at it. So I showed up at 12:30 in the afternoon, and again, the car was sitting. To make matters worse, they tell me honestly that we don't fix what is needed for my vehicle. If you need your car repaired and not just sit around, DO NOT TAKE it to this particular Mavis. I've gotten work done at Mavis before at other locations, so this is no gripe against all, just this specific location. Avoid the Warren, NJ location. read more

Been to plenty of places for maintenance and this was by far the worst. Took my car in for new struts and oil. The price they ultimately charged me was about 20% higher than what they quoted over the phone. They said struts were buy 3, get 1 free at the time. When I arrived to pick the car up, I had been charged for all four. Upon inquiring, they said that deal isn't running anymore. They did "discount" the oil change, though. If they tell me I'm getting a discount I won't question anything else? To top it off, they try to sell you a Mavis credit card to defray the pumped up costs. When I declined, the woman behind the counter said, "You sure? You're spending a lot of money." Yeah, cause you're screwing me over. The icing on the cake was them removing my toddler's car seat to do the strut job on my CR-V without telling me. To my surprise I pulled out of there with my car seat just lying on the floor. Do yourself a favor and drive right by. Took my car for tires and they said I needed rear shocks. The tech did not know what he was doing and drained my X-REAS hydraulic suspension and put the wrong shocks on and caused $4000.00 worth of damage to my car. Guess those hoses that he took off the other shocks became extra parts because they didn't get attached to anything. Maybe that should have been the first clue something was wrong. Mavis claims I do not need all the repairs to my car but my mechanic and the Toyota dealer say I do. Mavis wants me to take it to their "other" shop to get it fixed, thanks but I used their shop already and look what it got me. read more

STAY AWAY from the WARREN, NJ LOCATION.....If I could give this location 0 stars I would. My husband brought my car in for four new tires and a wheel alignment. When my husband picked up the car he was floored! All four rims where damaged. They not only damaged one rim...but all four rims! Why would you continue to do the work after you've noticed that you messed up one of the rims. Then to make things worse....the guy just handed my husband the key and never said a word. My husband is a smart man...he would never leave anywhere without looking at the finished product first. Well he immediately noticed the problem. Confronted the manager and here's the managers response....Yup they're damaged. Call customer service! These people are negligent and untrustworthy. We live right in town so I will make sure I make it my mission to tell everyone in town (I know quite a few businesses and people that own the businesses) to stay away from this place.
