But, after they replaced my tire they told me I should also replace all my break pads and my rotors... not a cheap fix. I decided to wait and ended up taking it to a place in Phenix City near where I work instead. He told me my rotors are COMPLETELY FINE and do NOT need to be replaced. He told me all I needed was new break pads on the front and an oil change... which cost less than half of what Auburn Tire had tried to charge me. Suggest getting a second opinion after looking into Auburn Tire.

On this visit, they went above and beyond on a request concerning installing a trailer box, and then referred me to another shop. "We can do it for you, but it would cost more. You can take it directly there." In the meantime, they serviced my vehicle for a reasonable price in minimal time. Luckily he is smart enough to not give the go ahead before talking to me or his dad. We both said to wait and we will look at it. That it being back brakes on a front wheel drive Honda crv he must likely would be fine until we could check them. My boyfriend looked at them the following weekend after purchasing new brakes. They still had about 90 % life to them. So beware of your college kids going to these areas. They are obviously aware a lot of kids these days have minimal knowledge of vehicles and may not have a support person they can consult with locally.

It would have been easy to tell me they were full and that I'd need to come back tomorrow. Instead, David listened to my story, took the keys and went to check it out. The battery tested fine, of course. He could have left it at that and sent me on my way. Instead, he looked around the battery and noticed what seemed to be a loose connection. As he thought about it, he noticed the battery was a bit askew. He came back in to tell me what was wrong and that he had ordered the replacement part to secure the battery and fix the connection. 20 minutes later, he handed me my keys, refusing to charge me a dime, and told me to have a good day. As I stood there incredulously, he said he thought they should have noticed it at my last visit, 2 months ago. Of course they should not have. It probably wasn't loose then. However, it is self effacing, compassionate and detailed service that sets Franklin apart from most businesses. It is why I tell everyone about them. In the end, it is why I keep going back.

DO NOT COME HERE!!! I HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF AND SCAMMED! As I stand here now, there are TWO pissed-off customers that have experienced similar stories as mine. am going to dispute the charges with my credit card company for the remaining two tires.
