There were several reasons I bought the van. I needed something to help my mother haul things, and I also needed a vehicle that would allow me to pick up furniture and other items from Facebook Marketplace. It's old, but it works, most of the time. The other day, I had an epic radiator leak. The van overheated, and smoke and steam were billowing into the air so badly that it looked like the vehicle was on fire. It was scary, but I was able to get a tow to this mechanic, who happened to be the closest shop to where I was stranded. This mechanic could have easily taken advantage of me. I was stranded, stressed out, and completely dependent on them to tell me what was wrong. They could have told me I needed hundreds or even thousands of dollars in repairs, but they chose to do something that unfortunately seems to be becoming harder and harder to find in the auto repair business. They chose to be honest with me. They gave me a fair assessment, explained what was actually wrong, and didn't try to sell me repairs I didn't need. For that, I will not forget them.
