7/24: Made an apptmt for 2:00. I drove in and told Sarai I need two front tires replaced. Left the car with them while I waited in lobby. Apptmt took 2.5 hrs! Work was complete then I drove home. 8/1: Low Tire pressure indicator was lit on dash. Went to add air to low tires. Discovered THERE WERE NOT TWO NEW TIRES ON MY FRONT AXLE! The new tires were wrongly placed on rear axle! Receipt says I got two new front tires! Called Store and spoke with Stephen who said the tire would have removed and replaced the two worst tires which is how the rear tires were mistakenly put on on 7/24. I said how could that be because the front right had a patch. Stephen said they'd pull the tape and call me back. Did not do this. Pending resolution. Do not trust Mavis Tires EVER! I had driven the car to atlanta and back on what I thought were two new front tires. I was driving on old tires and could have had a blowout! read more

Twice I have scheduled appointments to have my tires rotated both times when I got there,they said they didn't have anyone there that could do it. It's a 2020 Tesla and I have the pucks for the jack. If they don't have anyone trained, they need to stop advertising tire rotation. Or if they're too lazy to do it just take it off the menu. Three men standing there doing nothing when you could be looking at a manual or looking at YouTube learning to put a Tesla puck into a hole. It takes about 8 seconds to learn unless you have common sense and then you just know how put a peg into a hole. We all did it in elementary school... If you have a car shop that doesn't specialize in one make ...you should know something about every potential car that could come in. Ever put a bottle into a baby's mouth at feeding time? Got break work done a week ago...not even 2 weeks later my brakes went out! They wouldn't admit to any fault and on top of that tried to justice me when I brought the car back. Lied about the cost of the part and only wanted cash ironically. Got the receipt for the part and it was only half the price I was originally quoted! Definitely won't be going back! read more

Just visited because I had a blow out with a tire and they were super close and convenient. I'm not really sure why there are so many bad reviews on this page. Everyone in the place was super nice and helpful. The waiting area was clean and it smelled nice inside. The guy helping me was knowledgeable and didn't try and sell me on a lot of things that I didn't need. Women I'm sure can relate that when we go into places like this, usually the sales people try and make you think that your car is gonna fall apart the minute you leave their building. I went in for a simple brake job (new pads and rotors) paid 775 and waited 5 hours. My car didn't even make it down the street before lights on the dash started coming on. Took it back and the manager Eugene said I had a bad caliper and that it would be about $250 to fix it. Also told me that the rotors were already starting to groove... THE SAME DAY THEY PUT NEW ROTORS ON MY CAR. I didn't think anything of it until I heard him tell another customer about a caliper and then came to YELP and see another customer told about a caliper. Told me to bring it back Sunday and leave it and somebody would get to it Monday. I'm having it towed to pep boys today because of the loud and constant sound of metal being rubbed together. I was having some problems with my tires, not expecting to get any work done, but TERRENCE was kind enough to pull my car into the garage and give my tires a thorough exam. He showed me first hand all of his findings, so I knew I wasn't being upsaled or anything. Spent $1300 for tires, brakes, rotors. Took back a couple of weeks later because rotors were warped and brakes were bad. They blamed it on the way I drive. Been driving for 25 years, 9 of which in this car, never had this problem before. Said they would clean the rotors but that's it. Mind you, everything is still supposed to be under warranty. Left and it drove even worse. Took it to Express Oil for a second opinion. They confirmed the parts were bad and needed replaced. Called Mavis customer service where they confirmed parts should be replaced and we shouldn't owe a dime. Went back to the Mavis on lakeshore drive for a THIRD time requesting they honor the warranty that clearly states it covers parts and labor. They still tried to say it was my fault and that they would replace the parts but charge us for the labor. Incredibly frustrated that I had to fight for them to honor their warranty and fix a problem that they caused. Meanwhile I've been driving my kids around with bad brakes because of it. Will never go back to Mavis. Don't recommend using them. read more

My main concern is one of the employees in the garage stole my Apple air pods from my center console. Manager on duty said there is nothing he can do about it... I also went in Wednesday to get a quote. Got the quote and was told to come back on Friday for installation. I came back Friday only to find out they ordered the wrong quantity. I had to go back and forth between other tires in stock and ended up spending about $100 more than I was initially quoted. All in all a terrible experience. Wish I could give 0 stars. I feel like the manager Eugene has conned me. I went in back in April because I needed new brake pads and rotors. After waiting about 5 hours for them to install, it was finally done. About a month or 2 later, my vehicle starts to squeal anytime I apply my brakes. I took it into Goodyear at the beginning of October as the sound was getting unbearable. They checked my brakes and said that the rotors were cheap and needed to be fixed. They suggested me to take my vehicle back to fix the shotty work Mavis did to get warranty work as Mavis said I had a "warranty". The next day October 3 I took it into Mavis. Sure enough after looking at my car for 30 minutes my calipers were hanging down. I waited another 4 hours for them to put 2 calipers on. Why I paid them another 400 dollars is beyond me. As I was leaving there parking lot my vehicle was squealing when I applied the brakes but it seemed to be better. About a week ago, I noticed my vehicle started to shake and when I backed up it sounded like I had a flat tire. At this point I know I was intentionally being conned out of over 800 dollars from Mavis tire. I take my vehicle to pep boys on Sunday. My calipers were loose again. They didn't tighten the damn bolts on the calipers. One caliper bolt was gone. The other one was about to be gone. Could have caused a huge accident. This is a terrible place of business. Eugene has no integrity in my opinion. I want to get my money back. I talked to some supervisor. They asked me to see the bill from pep boys. Which I sent within an hour. Still waiting 2 days later. The whole time the person was blaming pep boys for overcharging me. I don't have time to wait for hours for Mavis tire to look at it. I just want my money back! read more

The new management has done a nice job of cleaning the lobby up but the high quality labor force has also left. Simple repairs and oil changes take forever. Today was the final straw. I rolled in to get a simple oil change and after the two guys at the counter chatted, they said that since they were closing in less than an hour they couldn't get to my car. After calling ahead of time, took our car in for a brake repair, only to be told they did not have anyone to look at the car. Left the car there and four days later had it towed to a dealership. They replaced a master cylinder and left open the bleeder valves which caused the brakes to not work. Four days and they could not figure that out! read more

So I ran over something (a ton of nails apparently) while driving back to bham from georgia. I ended up going to Mavis since that's where I usually go when I'm Georgia. Upon arriving, the customer service was terrible. Like, the guy wasn't very nice and he had his AirPods in on the phone while "helping" me. He tells me to give him my keys then proceeds to walk out the door (without telling me anything and leaving my keys where other customers could get them-- they had my AirPods attached to them). I grabbed my keys and followed him out which he still didn't say anything. I asked what he was doing and he had the audacity to tell me that he was on the phone. I was honestly livid. If it wasn't for TERRANCE and another guy who ended up working the front after I was done, it would have gotten a one star experience. But those two were SO NICE and helpful. They updated me on the situation, gave me my options, and since I had know idea what it was doing and couldn't answer basic tire related questions, they took pity on me and gave mw the cheaper of the two prices for my tire repair. Because of those two guys, I would come back again if necessary. TERRANCE and the other man get 5 stars but overall, I'd give it a four star experience. I had a great experience at Mavis Discount Tires May 2019. I called ahead and was connected to a national call center where they beat every other price quote I had received, and they made a next day appointment for installation. The front desk gentlemen at the Lakeshore Parkway Store went out of their way to make certain I was happy with all service I received; they even installed a rear windshield wiper for me ( for free) that I could not. My mother in law needs 2 tires for her Porsche Cayenne and I am definitely sending her to Mavis. Great experience, great price...superb service. read more

I am convinced no one at this tire engineers knows what they are doing. We dropped our car off to get 2 new rear tires. We picked it up when they called and said it was ready and one of the new tires was already flat, so then we had to wait for them to fill it back up and replace the valve. We left and the tire pressure sensor was still on so we brought it back and waited 30 mins for them to try to fix it and they said it was fixed and would go off after we drove it 10 miles. We waited 2 days and it never went off so we took it back and had to wait for them to go get new sensors and install them. We wasted so much time for them to try to figure out what they are doing. Don't waste your time and go elsewhere to get tires! read more
