In February 2024 I went to Mavis Tires in Lovejoy, GA. I needed 4 new tires, so I purchased them there. A month later I went to my Lexus dealership in Macon, and they told me I needed one new tire; the service rep showed me that one of my "new" tires was actually the tire that came with my vehicle in 2021. Yes, I paid for 4 new tires but actually got only 3. I went back, and the new manager acknowledged their "mistake" and agreed to give me a new tire and a $100 gift card "for my trouble." I have never received the gift card. My advice is to avoid this Mavis location. read more

My check tire pressure light came on this morning when I was on my way to Stone Mountain. I usually take my car to a diff location but they're closed on Sundays, so this was my first time at this establishment. For it to be a Sunday, they were pretty busy, working on a few patron cars already. Initially, I was told that because the mechanics were all working on cars I would have to use the free air machine in front of the building. I guess one of the mechanics, who had just walked from the back, saw the look of distress on my face when I looked down at me nails and back outside at the air machine. He td me to pull my car up and he will check it for me. I was so relieved!!! I didn't get his name but he was extremely helpful & patient and I was soooo appreciative. Will never go here again. Had a 9:00 appointment for a headlight replacement where it requires the bumper to be remove. Around 4:25 no one called to say car is ready. I drove up there because they close at 5:00pm on a Sunday. When I arrive I ask was car ready. The young lady said sorry we can't get to it today. read more

On February 24, 2024, my daughter bought a new set of tires for her vehicle. I had previously told her to always get the road hazard and lifetime rotation and balancing if offered. On March 10, 2024, two weeks and 1 day after purchasing the tires, she got a flat. I went to her location and changed it. There was a nail with a fairly large head in the center of the tire. It was clear to me that a simple plug and patch would fix it. However, she told me she was sold a warranty (which I took for road hazard) and she was taking the tire back. She was told that the tire could not be fixed and sold a new tire for $70.00 roughly 50 - 60% of the original costs. They told her they don't offer a full refund, they replace at a prorated rate based on tire wear. This is standard in the industry. I have been driving for almost 45 years and had more flats than I can count. I have never paid that much for a replacement tire that soon after purchasing it. I started going here 30 years ago when it was NTW (National Tire Wholesale) they had the best prices and service in Atlanta. then they were sold and became NTB (National Tire & Battery) the prices slowly began to creep up and the customer service went down to where it no longer made sense to use them. Robert is awesome! I was just driving by, headed back to Atlanta when my truck started messing up. I went to Mavis and talked to Robert. The store was closing in less than an hour, so they weren't able to fix it that day. But Robert took a drive with me to see what the truck was doing and he also looked at it to see if he could find the problem so I knew. He was able to tell me what was wrong with my truck. I was really disappointed with Mavis. I bought 4 brand new Michelin tires and thought the customer service was great. One of my brand new tires had low tire pressure so I went back to get it checked. Mind you, I had just received a reminder in email to come back for my 3000 mike check. I pull in and the tech goes to check my tire and a manager comes out and says he can't because the tire machine is down! What? They are using the tire machines now. I am very loyal when it comes to purchases and I'm sad to say they lost a customer today. read more

The last full set of tires we put on our car came from this business. Yesterday we had a flat and managed to get car to another shop which is closest to us (less than a mile) but they rudely said they were closing (4:15 on a Friday) & refused to help us even though we explained this was our only car. So we carefully drove another 2 1/2 miles to Mavis where the manager said of course they would help us, they never turn away people with flat tires! Definitely will continue to use this business - they are caring, efficient and have a marvelously clean and comfortable waiting area. Thank you for saving our day! read more

I booked an appointment last week only to show up (15 minutes before my scheduled time bc I like to be early) and be told that they were running behind and it will be at least a 2 hour wait...cool so I left and said I would come back later in the week bc I had things to do...fast forward to later in the week...when I walk in there were only two other people waiting in the waiting room and when I told the woman at the counter I just wanted an oil change and the tire rotation that came with it she said it would be an hour and a half wait then asked me if I was dropping off or did I want to wait? I said "an hour and a half? Cool I can wait." After sitting for an hour I called my wife to pick me up bc my car was STILL SITTING in the parking space I parked my car in. After the timer on my phone read 3 hrs and 38 min I called them to ask how much longer my car was going to be I was put on hold and after waiting a few minutes was told my oil change was being done now and all they had left was the tire rotation! after waiting another 40 minutes I finally got the call to come get my car. When I get to the shop my car is STILL SITTING IN THE BAY and somebody forgot to put my new windshield wipers on!! Not to mention the lady in front of me at the counter asked for her keys back bc she had been waiting too long for her car to be serviced! I'm a patient man but I was late for work messing with them after dropping my car off at 9am and getting it back 4.5 hrs later...DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE or you will be mad enough to leave your review next...and I hate leaving reviews read more

I can't give a less than a 1 Star rating, so... I waited for 3 hours Saturday May, 2018 to get my tires alignment. I thought it was time since I haven't had one in 2 years and I just put those tires on in January & February 2018 (2 separate purchases) because I hit a pothole on one tire. After the alignment, I thought I would be good for another 2 years or so, but i noticed a little sliding action, but thought nothing of it. A week ago, I dropped something that rolled under the back of my car from the trunk. That's when I saw the inside metal on both tires. Less than 3 months after alignment at Kauffman Lovejoy. I called corporate to tell them how unsatisfied i was, but didn't expect any action, but they were nice and prompt with the responses. They told me that the manager Thaddeus would call me concerning the tires. Shortly after, Thaddeus did call and I heard him on the defense before I could tell him what my tires look like. He proceeds to tell me he would have to see the car to prove that the alignment caused damage. I told him that I don't feel safe driving it with metal showing on the insides, but I'll take them off and bring them. He tells me he needs the car, because the tires wont prove anything. I told him Ill bring the tires with the rims and he will see for himself. But I wont drive it until the new tires come in. He tells me to come 4 days later when he is there. I show up and he brings someone with him. First they wanted to know who did it, but it's their garage. I don't know who did the alignment. So they were pointing the finger at first. The short guy he brought with him said, "yeah, the alignment is off. See how the insides have both worn down." Then Thaddeus say, "Yeah." But then, he goes to say, nah, the alignment wouldn't cause this. It has to be something with the car or the tires, but it wasn't their fault. So now, they forget that they will try to sell you brand new tires if a inch of tread is missing off of the tires. So if it was worn out like that, they would have stated that on the receipt and they would have been trying to sell me some 295/25/20 tires. But they were full of tread, so they didn't try to sell me tires like they did for my SUV. Now Thaddeus want to tell me the tires were worn like that already. I told him I better go, because I didn't expect them to do anything about it, but I did expect them to own up to their fault. I've been there 4 times since they opened because it's local. Never again. Never will my mother, son, and anyone that I know (after I tell them this story) will go to another Kauffman Lovejoy (or any Kauffman. They left a bad taste with me). I would rather spend top dollar at Butler Tire to have it done correctly. I want people who know what they are doing or supervised by someone who knows what they are doing, New tires will be here next week and I'll get to drive my weekend ride, top down, once again. Took my truck to the Mavis in Lovejoy for an alignment. The first time the mechanic stated that he couldn't completely align my Ford F150 because the caster nut wouldn't go any further so I went home and repositioned the caster washer so he could properly align the truck. I took the truck back up there and they charged me an extra fee to redo it and I paid it. The truck didn't drive any better and when I got it back home the caster nut was in the same position as it was before I took it back (I marked it). I made an appointment. That didn't matter. It was one hour before they touched my car. People came and went. I had asked them to check my brakes, change the oil and do a front end alignment. I ended up being there for 3 hours. That was unacceptable. When I finally got up and said I needed my car right then they told me that they were short handed, that the driver got stuck in traffic when he took my car out to test the brakes. No one came to me with updates, with why I was waiting for so long. I chose this auto shop because they had a professional website that told how professional and efficient they were. I brought my car in on Sunday 3/1/20 at 9:30 to have the brakes checked. They open at 9:00 am and there were at least 10 people already here. By 11:00, some people were starting to leave out even people who came in after me. About 12:10, I asked about my car because it was still in the same spot I parked it in. I was told that it will be about 2 more hours and they work the cars in as they come. I replied that was not true because I have seen at least 6 people leave out who brought their car in after I did. I was told that this was how it is. Very poor customer service. They don't even check you in in a timely manner. I spent 20 minutes just waiting for that. This is my last time here! read more

I made an appointment at 8 o'clock a.m. I was a bit late but there was only 3 other customers when I arrived. After an hour of waiting, my car had not been touched or moved. Only came here because it was on my way to work and I thought it would be convenient and quick. I only needed a single tire installation. Now, I've stayed too long and I'm in too deep and i really need this tire but this is my first and last visit to Kauffman tire. I don't care about complimentary coffee, water or soda if it comes with a side order of dreadful service. First impressions matter. I hate poor communication and bad customer service and on top of they are slow and inconsiderate. I should've gone back to Discount Tire who were far friendlier, faster and has better customer service. If you have all day to wait around for service, this is your place. But for the remaining 99% of us with lives and things to do, my recommendation is to keep driving. There are better options out there. read more

I spent 90 minutes waiting for an oil change and tire rotation... Unacceptable. I watched through a window while the technician seemed to wander from task to task between cars, talking and drinking water. I feel that if I hadn't complained and kept asking about my car, I would've been there til closing time. I will never go back there, and I feel that I was WAY overcharged. I have been here before and had great service but today I stood at the counter for 10 minutes waiting while an employee stood in front of me typing on the computer, completely ignoring my existence. When she finally did acknowledge me, she was short and her tone was very annoyed. She asked me what service I needed (a simple oil change), then she told me that I would have to wait 3 hours before I would be taken care of. After spending almost $900 on tires and alignment, I had to return a week later to have the tires rebalanced. The tech who rebalanced the tires said they were wildly out of balance, and that he was there to fix the problems caused by other employees. I was glad he was there to fix it. This was my first time making a purchase at Kauffman Tire. It was also my last time. read more
