Wish I could give 0. I was there for three hours to change out one tire. Spent $200 on tire. Two days later, new tire is flat. They hadn't even bothered to put a cap on the air nozzle. There is something wrong with the new tire and it can't hold air. I call and they offer no apologies. They said I can't just come in and get seen right away. I have to make another appointment and wait in line. So I have to waste another day at this ugly tire place. Poor business skills. Poor attitudes. read more

Customer service at this location is terrible. Management and technicians were very loud sitting in the waiting room with the customers watching tv. I actually called a the Mavis location and had them on the phone while I was at the Matteson location. They said the technician was giving me incorrect information and to ask for a manager. I told them the managers was right next to the technician agreeing with him. I took my car to another location and they had all four tires off of my car in less than 15 minutes. read more

The steering wheel covers should be implemented again. When I got back in my car after the services were completed, there was black dirt all on the steering wheel AND on the area for the sunroof!!! My interior is tan colored. Now I had to clean the black marks left from the mechanic's filthy hands!! There was no need to even open my sunroof anyway!! read more

Had a slow leak in one of my tires. I asked if they could fix it. Why did they call me later and say my slow leak could not be fixed because the nail was close to the sidewall and all my tires needed to be replaced because they were very worn and the car is all wheel drive? Quoted$130 per tire. Really? I must have had a sign that said STUPID around my neck. The tires are only two years old. Took it down the street and had the tire fixed for $15. Don't go here, they are a rip-off. Estimating what money they want to get from you and inventing repairs that don't exist or are not needed. read more

I really try not to complain, but the guys at this location created a problem that I never had with my car, then made the problem bad, then worse after I returned my car to them twice to correct the issue. On 10/26/20, I took my car in for a simple wheel alignment because I was experiencing uneven tire wear on my rear tires. Work was done, no problem. While driving away on 10/26, I notice that whenever I braked, the rear of my car would shift to the left, then the right. Never had this problem before. I drive on for about a week, but the shifting never subsides. So, I returned to this location on 11/14/20, explained my issues, hoping that they could tighten up whatever was causing the car to shift whenever I braked. I explained my issue thoroughly. Well, the guy tells me that I need to replace the 2 front control arms, brake lines, & to resurface my front rotors, cost $1,086.77. Granted, I'm no mechanic, I'm a CPA, so all I could do is agree & pay. After a 6 hour wait for that work to be completed, I finally drive away, only to discover that the problem that I just paid $1k to fix, was NOT FIXED AT ALL! I made a u-turn & told the manager, Charles, my experience and asked would he take a test drive with me so that I could display to him the exact problem. Charles did and he agreed that the problem was still there & asked that I leave the car with him & that they'd fix the problem free of charge. They kept my car from 11/16, through today, 11/23. Upon picking up my car, I was told that the problem was resolved & everything was great. Driving home just now, the rear of my car is now violently shifting from side to side WHILE I'M DRIVING, in addition to shifting when I brake. I will never return to this place for service & I'd caution anyone else from doing so. Nice people, but completely inept. Now I have to find someone to fix the problem they created, my car is completely unstable. It's a 2011 Lincoln MKS btw. Rode like a dream before encountering Mavis Tire & Brakes. If negative stars were available they'd receive a -5. I'm totally disgusted. read more

If I could give a zero I would. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!! Bought a brand new set of tires within the last year. Should've known it was gonna be a problem when they installed them inside out & had to ask them to install properly. Then before too long, one of the valves was malfunctioning. Few months later, went to get the valve repaired, (again) & get the tires rotated. when picking it up, noticed they repaired the wrong tire valve & put a mismatched valve on at that. Next day, I'm getting error codes. They told me 2 of my tire sensors needing replacing, charging me $80/per. Next day, error code still coming on. I stood there while 4 tire professionals stood around the car just looking at it, no idea what the problem was. They cleared the code again & said it was all fine. Next day, same problem! Said forget it & went to the Mavis in Crestwood. They knew immediately what the problem was. The 2 new tire sensors were throwing everything off so we needed 2 additional new ones to fix the problem...a problem that initially wasn't even a problem AND the Matteson location charged double for the sensors than they should have. I've owned cars over 30 yrs and have never had a problem with a new set of tires until now. The Mavis in Crestwood were very professional & communicated clearly. Problem solved quickly & it's been fine ever since. A free repair & tire rotation at the Matteson Mavis turned into $280 to solve a problem they created. We will drive the extra miles to not have to deal with dishonesty & foolishness!!!! Do not believe the reviews on their website! read more
