I brought my Tiguan here because of an oil leak issue, and they were able to fix the problem in just a couple of days with the fairest price I could ask for. They were incredibly low maintenance when it came to me explaining the issue, dropping off my car, and contacting me right away with a diagnostic and a realistic quote. I came to t&t after a frustrating, gas-lighting conversation with the service department of my car dealership. They had quoted me $8k for a repair that t&t said I didn't need. I'm so glad I went to t&t auto care for a second opinion. As a woman, I appreciate an auto shop whose staff doesn't talk down to me and is polite through-and-through. Had engine problems. Warranty already made my issue worse. T n T asked to replace the engine at another location they owned. As soon as the vehicle was returned, check engine light came on. They told me I needed a catalytic converter replaced. I replaced all four. Light was still on. Tune up happened, light still on. Keep in mind I kept them in the loop. Now another master mechanic checks it and says "whoever changed the engine didn't do the timing chain." Call T n T Auto and now it passed the warranty, and since it was at another location that they don't own anymore its up to the new owners! In between this, they changed my starter and left hoses loose. I see I shouldn't have ignored this because now I know its just an "i don't care" attitude. read more

I love this place and the amazing team that represents this organization. They are efficient, thorough, cost efficient, informative professional and kind. Most automotive places try to fix things that don't need fixing, over charge you and/or play on our lack of knowledge. This company is honest and lives by the Golden Rule! I take my car here each time something is wrong. They even helped me figure out a solution when I went to THE HORRIBLE Velaquez & Sons in Chicago Heights. They discovered that some (previous) hub-bearing work that was performed on my vehicle was completed unsatisfactorily and was causing problem with my abs sensor etc... They worked through the issue with me and fixed the issue with precision. T&T handles all customers with care. I've observed several interactions between them and their customers. They call around to get the most affordable rate, they treat ALL people kind (from a variety of cultures/ages/genders/backgrounds/etc.)... it doesn't matter if you're spending $30 or $3,000 they are just phenomenal! I've taken my Equinox to Lenny and team at least four times now, and only once was it a repeat issue. The team is knowledgeable. They don't sell you a load of crap. They shoot straight. Ultimately, it will come down to how much longer are you trying to drive your vehicle? Regarding the repeat issue, my air went out. Freon added and i was on my way. About a month later, it happened again. Made a phone call, got my truck in and the issue was determined to be a little more extensive than could be detected the first time. As a courtesy, I didn't have to pay for the Freon a second time. From sensor to wheel alignment issues, they can handle it. I will continue to trust them with my vehicle. read more

I want to give a big shout out to Lenny and Gavin, who saved me from spending a ton of money on an unnecessary repair I didn't need on my 2016 GMC Acadia. Without going into too much detail, a dealership at the Matteson car mall told me I needed to replace the torque tube. Feeling uneasy over there diagnosis, I took my vehicle to T&T. Incidentally, I learned of T&T by word of mouth, from a guy I met at a local gas station while pumping my gas. He told me, he's had his vehicle serviced there before and was pleased with their work. Long story short, Lenny took the time to take me for a short ride to diagnosis the problem and he instantly knew my front hub bearing were bad. My bearing were replaced. No more loud humming noise. Going to a repair shop, shouldn't make you feel like you're gearing up to fight a battle. This place is "Off the beaten Path" from where you see other repair shops. If anyone thinks T & T repairs are pricey(?) Please know I have been coming to T&T Auto FROM DOWNTOWN Chicago for over 20 years. I was so tired of being taken advantage of by other mechanics and I am not eager to absorb the depreciation losses of new cars off the showroom floors. Therefore I only deal in older cars. (They've patiently been through FOUR with me.) I can only do this because of the honest and extremely professional mechanics at T&T. I used them a few times in the past and was satisfied. Not for a number of years as I'd gotten a new car and it didn't need anything. But now the mileage is getting up there and I was in for a repair recently. I didn't see the older gentleman, only young mechanics. Maybe he just wasn't around but I wonder if he retired and the business changed hands. Anyway, my repair basically boiled down to replacing one part. Had to wait an extra day for them to get it. That's where a dealer has the upper hand but you pay more for that benefit. I am satisfied with the work done. Once they had the part it was done in a jiffy and so far so good. I am a little troubled by the price of the part which is the reason for the two star review. Over $370 for this part. If that's what it costs...that's what it costs and I know they have to make some on it. But poking around I found that the part is available elsewhere for about $160. No, I am not comparing some cheapo part from a discount parts store but the same good quality name brand aftermarket part. Not apples vs. oranges but the same part. I presume their parts supplier gets them parts at a discount that would be unavailable to me as an average Joe. And the $160 includes profit for the other vendor. Marking up a part to more than double? That just strikes me as a bit too much. My car happens to be a lux brand. Did they say, oh he drives a ****, he can afford it? On the other hand, let's give them the benefit of the doubt and say the part really did cost them x and with a fair markup the price comes to $370. Maybe that's what happened and they've done nothing wrong. But then they have a sucky parts supplier. Either way I was on the hook. I like this place and I'd like to return but this business about the part price makes me wonder what they'd charge the next time I need something. read more

I have had my 06 and 08 vehicles serviced here for a few years. They are spot on with their fixes-recently repaired a steering rack and have made several repairs on both vehicles. The prices are a little steep but they seem honest and have not charged me for finding problems that another company caused or for just giving it a check over. Trust is big with auto repair and I trust them, it's that simple. read more

My family and I have been long term customers of T&T Auto and we are beyond happy with the service and level of honesty they demonstrate. They always check over our cars when we come in for an oil change and make sure we are aware of issues that might be arising. But they never push- just inform. Once I had made an appointment thinking I was due for a tune-up and was told it wasn't needed. The same thing happened to my mom when she went in for an oil change and was told it wasn't needed yet. I had a major issue to deal with today- my 80 year old mother had gone to Discount Tire in New Lenox yesterday with a slow leak in her tire. (She went there because they were much closer to her house. We have moved 25 minutes away from T&T but all of us still go there for our service/repairs). She was told by DT that she needed all new rims and tires on her 2011 Toyota with 39,000 miles! The cost was over $1000! I called Lenny at T&T first thing this morning. He explained what should have been done and also offered to talk to them if they gave me a hard time on the refund. I had to call him twice from the tire place and he was so very helpful in dealing with them and helping me get a full refund for my mother. I cannot say enough about this place.
