First rate all around. This place is most definitely customer-service focused. Max manages the place like he's conducting an orchestra; he knows who's good at their job and lets them do it with only limited appropriate guidance. Max and Brandon worked with me on a very complicated issue that took time allowing me to witness customer after customer arrive and leave seemingly pleased with the experience. I called on Sunday to have front and back brakes installed on my car which I had already purchased but didn't have the right tools for. I was quoted out the door by GABE $439. I took my car in and had the work done. I went to pay and it was $544. I immediately called the discrepancy and was told that I spoke to someone at the call center and that has nothing to do with them. I paid it but was visibly pissed and said I would never do business with them again. I came home and found my note from the conversation with Gabe the day before. I called the number and lo and behold, no call center....went right through to the man who I checked out with. Not only are they liars, they are dishonest crooks as well. I shopped for a specific brand tire for my truck. All of the tire stores within a mile of Mavis offered what I was looking for for significantly less. Customer service was good but they were just too expensive. Goodyear surprisingly was almost $1,000 less and they were the cheapest of all of the stores I went to in the area. read more

The staff is great. I have had great experiences with this locations staff. I've purchased a complete tire set, and they worked with me on the price. Bravo to them! I've also performed routine maintenance with them, no issues and they do good, quick work. My complaint is with corporate and their technology. I went online to book service and it shows almost every hour available, so I booked an appointment. Within minutes the location calls me to inform me that they are fully booked for the day and can not accept my recent booking. I was very grateful that they called me right away to inform me of that however, the real issue here is that the technology does not add up with what the location is showing in store. I absolutely appreciate this location and their staff, but the technology needs to get up to speed. I would easily give this place a five star review if they were able to synchronize their appointment schedules. That's it. I've got nothing else negative to say. A lot of good hard-working people in that store. I sincerely appreciate them. Thank you for you what you do! PS. The customer service (Nina sales clerk) was great; however, I had an oil change, three new tires installed, along with a tire rotation and a front-end alignment. It turns out that my one older tire was still on the front driver's side. I was charged for a full tire rotation. My car is still severely pulling to the left. I basically just walked out with three new tires with nothing else fixed. I now must return back after my car was there for 2.5 hours. I drive 300 mile trips frequently and this is an inconvenience especially when I paid $850. read more

Brought my VW Atlas in for an oil change, 2 days later the splash guard starting flapping - and got worse the next day. When I drove over 45 mph, the guard came undone in the front - brought it back and they ZIPTIED it. 2 days later I was driving at night in a dark location and it came off again, but it was worse. It took me 45 minutes to get home. Brought it back to Mavis Yulee, they had to order a new part (2 day turn around), went in for appt. I asked them if they had all the screws and they said YES, that one of the mechanics said all were there (1st off if all were there then why did it come off - anyways), I knew other wise, so 35 minutes later one they got the car on the lift they found that not all screws were there, so NOW i'm to go back a 3rd time (since they have to order the screws for this as it didn't come with the new splash guard) - SOOOO it would have been smart for them to probably OPEN the box to fond out what was in there - Right? I will never go to Mavis in Yulee again. Showed up for a 10 am appointment to replace 4 tires. I was the only car there to be serviced. I was told it would take about one hour. so I went next door to get something to drink. I went back to Mavis. My car was still sitting in the parking lot and they were working on 4 other cars that had not been there when I first came. I was given no explanation. I was there another hour. First time visiting Mavis tires shop, I was disrespected and the manager was attacking my son because he ask how long would it take for his car to be done, and my son stepped inside the bay the manager was yelling at my son. I can't say enough great things about Mavis and the men working there. I walked in this morning (Sunday) and there were three men working. They were helping another customer who was filled with questions. Their patience and understanding for the customer was outstanding. They have their advice on the service they recommended. The man ended up not getting the service and the manager was still super kind to him. He then helped me and continued the same kindness and patience. They had my issue fixed within an hour even though they were short staffed. No one was complaining or trying to sell me things they knew I didn't need. They didn't even charge me to fix my issue!!! Had a tire blow out on the interstate yesterday. Called a couple of places, but Mavis was able to get me in early-ish today. Super friendly, respectful service managers. Mechanics were quick, but they asked if they could take care of a couple of minor problems they noticed. The price they quoted me was much lower than the dealer I had an appointment with tomorrow to fix the same issues. In fact, he gave me a couple of options that actually saved me money while fixing one issue. I will absolutely go back to Mavis. read more

Honestly I have been avoiding this Mack's location due to the bad reviews. I typically go to the Southside/University location but they are so far from me and always busy. The Manager assured me that this location was under new Mgmt and it was being ran better. I took my car in and I'm glad I gave them a chance. This will be my second time and they are absolutely wonderful. They stand by their work and if it's their fault they will fix it. That stands true for the Southside location as well. I've been going to Mavis for the last few repairs I've needed as Firestone was just getting too expensive. For the quality of work and price you can't beat them. read more

NEVER. GOING. HERE. AGAIN! I tried to give them a second chance since my last review was acknowledged and corrected. Appreciated it. Called and scheduled an appointment for Friday. Called on Friday to confirm my 10am appointment and they placed it on the wrong day. No big deal. Secondly, they replaced my windshield wipers and put the wrong size on. Thankfully it rained a few days later and I realized they were the wrong size so I literally had to drive an hour in the rain and couldn't see much. Immediately called them to request an appointment to get them fixed. A guy answered the phone and I explained to him the situation and he asked if I was were available the next day. I told him I get out late and I'm usually an hour away so it wouldn't work for me. He then asked if I can come in at the moment. I said no, as I was in class until 5. He responds "Well try your best, thank you" and hung up on me. I immediately called back and another guy answered claiming he wasn't the one who hung up on me. I requested a supervisor and he said he was the assistant store manager. He told me to come in and said he will wait for me. I got there and they couldn't find the right size blade so he ordered another one. Told me to come back the next day and he'll swap them out. Showed up today and the guy working didn't even know what I was talking about and no wipers were ordered. He looked like a deer in headlights because this information was not passed down to him. So he ended up ordering more and had me wait 30 mins until they arrived. Thankfully they were the right size. I'm over this place. I believe in second chances but that's it for me. Especially after I was hung up on when I wasn't being rude to him. This was a huge inconvenience to me, giving up time I didn't have to come up there and get this situation corrected when I had to be home studying for my upcoming finals. Not only did you lose me as customer, my husband is not going there anymore either. Don't trust it. We will be trying Goodyear or elsewhere the next time we need our cars serviced. read more

The receptionist is like "we won't be able to get you in, we're very busy" and then I said I made a reservation and Korey without missing a beat says "we can take you." My wife is driving back from Florida with her daughter. They had a flat and had to pull over in Yulee, Florida. I looked and found that they were open on Sunday, so I called to see if my wife could bring the car over. Roadside Assistance came to help my wife and then she took the car over to Mavis Tires and Brakes. They were able to make the repair and get my family back on the road for $30!! I came in to Mavis on 9/19 just for a chck-up (e.g. oil, tire roatation) and unfortunately had to come back the next day as a pot hole ruined my front right tire. I called them before the tow got there and they were able to get my car-in to be seen right away and order the tire I needed right away. They also, assisted in finding the lowest price for a tire. This is a place to go if you really, really need service done on a Sunday. I suggest waiting until Monday if you can to go to your regular mechanic. I know finding employees are hard these days but it looks like they hire anybody of off the street. It's like a bunch of unskilled work release rejects and a very unhappy counter salesman. We were driving to Tampa from Richmond, Va when our low tire pressure light came on. There was a nail in our back tire...had to stop every so many miles to fill the tire up. Finally arrived in Florida, stopped at Mavis Tires at 6:30 am and waited for them to open. Max was super wonderful to get our tire fixed and sent us on our way...and at no charge! What a hero!!! Turned into the lot with a flat tire; clearly had picked up a nail. They took me right in, patched my tire and had me on my way in 25 minutes! Professional and courteous service! Bought four new tires here about a year ago, and had them mounted on my truck. Found one had a small screw in the tread (not the sidewall, and not even close to the sidewall) about a week ago. Went in on a Sunday to have them patch it. They said it couldn't be patched, and sold me a new tire instead for $175. I was suspicious that it could be patched (I used to install and patch tires, a number of years ago), and that they were just wanting to sell me another tire... so I kept the old tire. This weekend I took it down the street to Tire Outlet. They said it could be patched, and also did it for free... the same response Mavis should have had for a good, current customer. Don't trust Mavis! Sorry Mavis... you lost out on any new business with a customer you already had because you wanted to screw them out of $175 on a service that should have been free. read more

Where do I start. We ordered Michelin defender tires and scheduled an appointment on Nov 30th, 2020. My wife took the van and it was a bait and switch. The price was told now is $200 more. We called corporate and they called the store and we got the tires for the ordered price. I got home later that day and was looking at the tires and they where the wrong ones. They put Michelin latitude tour tires. I called the store right before closing and they said well they are better tires which they are not just $4 more a tire. They had us go back to the store the next day mind you we live about 50miles away from this store or any Mavis to be honest so now we have over 200 miles round trips (Two trips). My wife goes again on December 1st 2020. And they install the new tires. But now they where so mad that we made them put the correct tires they damaged our rims not just one but all four. We called corporate and they had the store call us they said they can't do anything as its not their fault they had to remove the tires twice. We have been waiting for corporate before posting this but it looks like they are not going to repay us for new rims. We called Dodge and the rims will cost us around $1800 total to get them replaced. Our suggestion is stay away from this location as they do bait and switch then try to put the wrong tires on your car. Then if you make them fix an issue they will damage your car!!! First time I came here I came to get a tire, and the same day come out and it's flat. Me and my boyfriend aired it up and seemed like it was holding air. So we thought maybe something was on lose or something we couldn't seem to find a leak. Next day we're driving home from my dads the tire BLEW UP while driving and we had my 2 month old son in the car at 8 pm at night in the middle of the highway. Called them the next morning they said bring it in and checked the tire and said there was so evidence I hit something and it must have been a default tire. All they did was replace it for free no free oil change nothing. Fast forward to today we went to get an oil change figured last time they were just new and were figuring it out. We dropped the car off at 1:30 FOR AN OIL CHANGE. said it would be about 2 hrs so we call at 4:07. They said they're just now getting it in the shop. So then at 4:57!!! We go up there thinking there is NO WAY there not gonna have it done and yet we go to pick it up and they said still 45 min!! And they were just now leaking the oil out and just now starting If I could leave no Stars I would!! They're service is ridiculous!!! Wouldn't recommend to anyone. read more

Both times I arrived, with appointments, they did not fix my truck. First time the appointment was not set up, after I had made it at their desk in Yulee. Second time I brought it at 830, my appointment time. Told him I needed to go to work when it was finished. Went to breakfast, came back at 1000. Truck was not touched, they said they took the people waiting in the area first. I understand if I had walked in, but had appointment and informed clerk I needed to be at work as soon as they finished. So...will never return as they can't seem to do the work without needing it for hours, if you don't wait in their tiny office space. Even with appointment. I will go somewhere else and get my truck done in less than a day, I assume. Do not recommend at all. read more
