They have friendly office staff and knowledgeable service technicians. I have had all my auto, truck and jeep service done there for years. They will always do you right regarding their service recommendations and labor cost. I was having multiple problems with my 2010 Ford F350 Super Duty Truck. My problem required needing a new engine. They replaced my engine with a two year warranty. I trust them and I haven't had any more engine problems after the replacement. read more

Never bring your car here!! Had to take my car there 3 different times and the problem is still unresolved. My brakes and rotors were supposed to be done and I paid for a top of the line brand. They put the cheap of the cheap in the car and now they are worse than ever. They make a crazy noise and after complaining and taking it back to them, the noise became worse. Oil was also supposed to be changed along with checking fluids which was never done (wiper fluid bone dry)! This whole experience has been horrible and has wasted all together 5 weeks of my life! We were on a road trip to Florida to visit my dad. On the way back to North Carolina the alternator died on our van and we were stuck not knowing anyone. We called First Choice Car Care and we were fortunate enough that they were right down the road from where we broke down. Laura, Mike, John and crew have got it together! Having automotive experience most all of my life, 15 of it as a professional, A.S.E. certified technician and working for the Goodyear Tire company (a company store vs independent) for 10 years during the '80s/90's in Jacksonville, I know all about the products and how a service center is supposed to run. While I may still have all of my tools, there are some things I just don't feel like doing myself, can't do myself (mounting tires) or have the time to do.....this is my "go to" place. We are always greeted when we walk in and even though we're not in there a lot, they almost know us by name (this tells me they WANT your business). They perform the maintenance requested and unless there is a serious issue that's safety related or could actually save us money performing it now instead of later, they don't call us trying to add additional sales. The waiting area is always clean and the shop area tends to be the same. If I'm not around, I have no issues with my wife or kids taking their automotive needs here. read more

I just did my fourth visit to this place. Each time is worse than the previous and I will never set foot in there again. I hate doing this and considered just calling The owner To let him know my experience at the shop... But I will just do it on yelp The shop is more interested in telling you everything that is wrong with the car then they are just fixing what you sent the car in for. Emails and texts with damage reports and recommendations for high cost repairs My car is 10 years old with 140,000 miles... I know things are not perfect... Just fix the tire. And speaking of tires... I brought a car in three weeks ago to repair a flat. The report said it was a nail located perfectly for repair. I paid a reasonable fee of about $27. About a week ago the tire started losing air slowly. The same tire That was repaired. So I brought it in... Front desk clerk was defensive and sarcastic and I said the first repair is not on the record, they have no record Of fixing it... She asks "do I have a receipt?" No I don't. But I tell her I just need the tire fixed... An hour later I get the report via text and email that the car has been fully inspected and it needs various things including new tires etc. so the car sits until I see the text and call back how to speak to a mechanic who seems disappointed that I am not going to buy new tires and other things but he tells me now he will fix the flat. I also had the oil changed... And based on the charge, $60, I assume I didn't get the special price that was posted on the reception desk. I was given the nail that was removed from the tire... It was the bottom half Of long nail and it was the exact location of the repair done a few weeks back. You do the math... Forgive the lengthy review but this service was worth it! On Saturday afternoon my husband and I, both quite senior Senior Citizens, were stranded when out car broke down on I95 at the Amelia Island exit. A call to AAA got us a tow to First Choice Goodyear - selected by AAA as we were travelling and had no idea where to take the car. What luck!!! "Mike" - the owner, promptly advised us he would take a look at the car first thing Monday morning as the shop was about to close. We were crestfallen and explained we are from Jacksonville, had been in a play in Saint Marys, GA that morning and were on our way for another performance on Amelia Island that night. He promptly examined the car, made his diagnosis, ordered the part from next door and told us he would have on the road within the hour! The store closed, but Mike and his mechanics stayed after and finished our car in record time! Upon returning our keys he advised we take the car for a thorough examination once we got home and gave his cell phone number to us in case we ran into trouble while still in his vicinity. The repair cost was reasonable and no extra cost was added for the after-hours service. At eight o'clock this morning (Monday), Mike called my husband to make sure we arrived home okay and to remind him to take the car in to a mechanic in Jacksonville, just to be sure there are no underlying issues his Team did not have time to address. Wow. Just WOW! What amazing service and kindness!!! We could not be more thankful for what Mike did for us. Trust me, the next time we need tires, or an oil change or any automobile service that is not emergent, we will be going to Yulee to see Mike and his Team. This place is great ! Car was running hot , took it in , diagnosed quickly and fair reasonable pricing . We also had parts with us to fix another more minor issue and Mike advised us that they were not even needed , the problem was much more minor. He could've made more replacing all the parts . This is a independent dealer for Goodyear. It is a man and woman partnership. If you walk in and there is a nice friendly man behind the counter, you are in good hands. If his partner, a woman is there, you might want to ask the other partner or go somewhere else. The gentleman co owner is very good business man that loves to please his customers. The woman is snappy and rude in my opinion. If you check Facebook, you will see that other customers have said that she charges more than the partner and is rude! Being a business man myself, I have never, ever written a bad review, but this woman is going to cost her nice partner a lot of business. read more

I walked into this place of business during the week to inquire for an oil change. I happened to receive a postcard from them stating $25.99 for oil change. We'll this is false advertising. The woman at the counter was very unfriendly and when I told her what I was there for she questioned if I had an appointment? A appointment for an oil change?? She then proceeded to tell me if I wanted an oil change my car would be there all day because they were that busy. Wow all for an oil change. Okay I showed her postcard and she said that didn't apply to my car because it wasn't the right oil. So she created an estimate to show me price of oil change on my 2010 car. Now prepare yourself, it was $44.00 and That was with her giving me a $10.00 discount!!!! I said Maa'm I've never paid that much for a basic oil change. She replied well you want us to use the right oil. I told her I can't afford that and left This was one of the worst experiences I've had in any Auto repair place and I've lived in a lot of places and bigger cities. read more

Its going to sound odd to be so ecstatic after a car repair, but I am! I have a VW and it has been a pain for months. I have had no less than 6 different places look at my car and they either didn't know what the problem could be...or they guessed..leaving me with $3k-$4k estimates they "may" fix it. Its an old car and alot of people just didnt want to fool with it. But these folks, especially JOHN went above and beyond to not only find the real problem, but to fix it at a reasonable price. I stopped in to the shop on Saturday afternoon, I was told wait time was over an hour, busy but understandable, made appointment for Monday morning at 10:30, "I will get you in and out", I showed up at 10:30 as agreed, at 11:15 car still not moved. So, I ask a service tech that's drinking coffee at the counter for my keys, he without asking, why Im leaving or even giving me an audible response, simply hands me the keys and turns away. Glad you're busy, with service like this it won't last long. I go out to the service bay to inform the 'apparent' manager that Im leaving, he says "your car is next". Im 45 minutes in and he is still working on a car in front of mine. Dont waste your time. read more
