No longer atheist. Let me explain. While at the Springs, I was looking for food in a different area far from home. Found this Jamaican Spot nearby that looked really good. Looked like an actual house turned into a restaurant. I drive through the hood to be greeted by a private parking lot with some nice cars parked, which is the best sign that something about this establishment is worth coming for. I go inside to be greeted by the most wholesome and lovely lady whom I assume is the owner. I obviously look and act a little bit different than most people but she treated me with love as if I'm a nephew. Then I eat outside ( the day went from shitty to beautiful so I HAD to ) and they were playing Z88.3 through the speakers. Put yourself in my shoes for a second. Enjoying Amazing food outside that you never had before while listening to good vibes Jesus music. Man, this place is different. 10/10. Pure euphoria today. read more

Something about that jerk sauce wasn't exactly right. It didn't taste like normal jerk sauce. I read in the comments as someone said it's a mix of some kind of tomato sauce and something else. But I will certainly say that I was in a neighborhood and want to try it out after driving by this place so many times. But to be honest as a native Jamaican, I've had so many better Caribbean spots I've experienced in my life that a lot better than this. Some parts of the ribs were very fatty and the flavor overall was just bland. I wouldn't come back here again because the food was so basic. read more

Tried this place out on a Saturday Afternoon. I waited in the car while my brother went inside to order. The food was served hot and he came back out in less than 10 minutes. Upon opening the tray I could tell that the food was fresh and it did look delicious but I was disappointed with the sweet bbq sauce. It was too sweet; it overpowered the spicy jerk seasoning (that's what we went for) The cabbage was bland and just tasted like steamed cabbage... nothing special there and sadly the rice and peas was the same. It could use a little salt. I would try other food from here but I would deff skip the sweet bbq sauce on the jerk chicken. read more

So far tho is the only Jamaica restaurant I like in this area. The location is very small, only a few tables and you'll have to order with the owner who sits behind a window. My favorite thing to order is the large jerk chicken which is about $15. It comes with rice and peas, plantains, cabbage and of course the chicken. The chicken is very tender and fresh. Grilled really well and I really like the sauce on the chicken. Rice is fluffy and cabbage is pretty basic. Will always come back when I'm on this side of town . read more

Dry happy to have supported a black owned local business. The customer service was great. The owner tok our orders and prepared them. The space is small inside, not big enough to eat in. But there is plenty of outside dining space. We had the oxtail, jerk chicken, golden fried chicken, and brown stew chicken dinners. As well as a beef and chicken pattie. All of the food was super fresh. The best plate that we had was the jerk chicken. The oxtail and brown stew chicken tasted more southern than authentic Jamaican. Overall the food was ok, it just wasn't what we expected from an authentic Jamaican spot. We will go back for they patties. They were delicious! read more

Gone down hill. Ordered jerk pork 1) almost half of it was fat and ended up in the garbage. 2) Their jerk sauce is tomato sauce. Never get it on your food. Ask for it on the side 3) There's a sign inside not to eat at the tables. Ok, so I was waiting for food to be prepared and sat at the table to eat one of their patties until the food was ready. If you drive with the windows down you wont need GPS to find this building. The smokey smell of deliciousness pumping out that old school chimney will lead you right there. Quality food at an affordable price and the taste alone will make you start looking for a cruise getaway to Jaimaica. A+ read more

Ordered on DoorDash, saw that this place has 4.5 stars and that had me sold. And I absolutely love eating Jamaican food! Unfortunately, I'm disappointed. The rice and peas didn't have any flavor at the very least it had salt flavor :/ the Mac and cheese had no cheese sauce it was watery. Barely taste like cheese. Taste like you were eating plain pasta. Boxed Mac is better than this. The oxtail barely had any flavor. I'm not sure how it has 4.5 stars because this is my first time having a not so good experience from a Jamaican restaurant. read more

Fat man made a late lunch visit. What a great experience. I'm so impressed. Father and son are working this day. The son was a delight to chat with. I was offered a sample of the jerk chicken. Let me just say... WOW! I ordered jerk ribs and curried goat. Those are two separate orders. Please review line 1 if you are wondering. I'm considering pitching a tent in the yard. My goodness. Cute little place and a friendly lady at the counter. Portion sizes are great for the price. However, the jerk chicken tasted more like BBQ chicken. It was slattered in what looked like BBQ sauce. Very sweet family. They gave us a sample because we told them it was our first time trying them out since we just moved to the area. Curry chicken was great. My husband loved his oxtails. The second time we went, the plantains weren't as good but I'm sure it'll be great again the next time we go. If you are in Apopka and you don't stop to enjoy this hidden treasure then you missed out. There are not that many places that you can go and they make you feel like family but this is one of them. The owners are kind and caring people and it shows in their food as well. I believe I have eaten everything on their menu and every bit is delicious! I own a business not far from them and I send my customers their way for lunch and when they get back I hear about how amazing everything is for the next hour. The best Caribbean food I have been able to find in the Orlando area! I ordered a small curry chicken plate, which came with rice and peas, plaintain, and cabbage. The small was more than enough food for me (it was so good I ate the whole thing anyway), and a large could possibly feed two people. The chicken was very tender and flavorful; the rice, peas and plaintain were all delicious, freshly made and not dried out like I've had at other places. The owners are very sweet and kind. The price of the food is around the average Jamaican restaurant. The quality on the other hand isn't the best. Their food has potential but they need to work it. They did not season their cabbage at all. It was steamed with no salt or any sort of flavor. That needs to be changed. The curry chicken, on the other hand was good but definitely could have done with some pepper! Scotch bonnet, anything. The fried chicken needed seasoning salt or just help in general.
