I come here often and first watch in general. My main issue is: Server takes order but kitchen follow through is off more times than it should be. Asked for the lemon blueberry muffin without butter, arrives with a huge amount of butter on top. Asked for veggies in frittata no potatoes, comes with mostly potatoes! I could go on and on but servers are lovely (Riley) but something in communication between servers and kitchen is an issue. Other than that, high quality food prepared well sans mishaps, this is one of the best brunch spots in the area. I had the Tri-fecta which consists of a Belgium waffle, 2 eggs and bacon or ham, I chose the the bacon. I asked for bacon soft, not crispy. The bacon was so crispy and had a terrible charred flavor. The server took the plate because the waffle was cold and she was going to get soft bacon. The second waffle was barely warm, not hot and the bacon was crispy and tasted funny so, I left the bacon on the plate it was that bad. I've had other breakfasts there and they were so delicious. This location still has the new feel. It's very clean. Today they were short staffed but did a great job of attending to customers. I had The Works omelet. After I scraped off the sour cream it was good. Lemon dressing on the greens was light and tasty. We were heading up to Apopka for the day from Winter Garden and decided to try the First Watch there instead of one more locally. We joined the waitlist before leaving home. When we got there, the parking lot was full, so we had to park in the "overflow" parking (AKA the parking lot for the urgent care). I checked in with one of the hosts. When we were finally called for our table, we were seated at a two-seater table...with cushiony chairs! They were like someone's living room or nice dining room chairs. It was so comfortable, and that's when I noticed that this First Watch's décor was a step above others. There was even a bar with seating around it. I was very impressed. We were seated near the host stand, the bar, and the kitchen, so I was able to watch everyone. All of the employees at every level seemed to be working hard and keeping things running smoothly. And the main hostess (or perhaps a manager) was ensuring tables were cleaned and re-sat efficiently. She even stopped by to ask if we had been helped yet. The man who appeared to be the head manager appeared very involved with everything, too. It was impressive to see. This is how a good restaurant is run. The food, of course, was excellent as usual. Our entrees came out fresh from the kitchen and still hot. If it wasn't so far away from home, we'd visit this First Watch more often, just for the ambiance and staff. read more

I treated my daughter to breakfast here for the first time at this location. The restaurant is very clean and the staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We chose to sit on the patio as it was a beautiful day. We placed our order and it came out within a matter of minutes, hot and perfectly cooked the way we had asked for it. It was an egg white wrap. It was very delicious and our waitress checked on us two or three times but allow us to be comfortable and take the time to talk and enjoy the day and our breakfast. A friend of mine from Texas called the other day and told me he was in Apopka Florida and wanted to know if I wanted to meet him and his wife for breakfast. He suggested First Watch a place I never heard of before. We made plans to meet at 9 on a Sunday morning. As I stated I never been to a First Watch before but glad I went. We luckily beat the crowd and were seated and waited on quickly. My friend suggested the Tradition breakfast which included a couple eggs, ham,bacon or sausage, and potatoes or grits and toast, which sounded good. When we received our food everything was prepared to perfection and the waiter returned on several occasions offering coffee. Anyway we all enjoyed our meal and the price was reasonable. I had a great time at First watch of Apopka. This is my first time at this location but definitely will not be my last. We were seated immediately as we walked in but I was kind of annoyed because they sat us right next to the bathrooms. Other than that the staff took care of us. The restaurant was clean and so beautiful. The amount of natural light coming in was amazing and made me happy to be at this business. Me and my husband loved each and every single thing we tasted. We did try some of the fall dishes and we are so happy we did. The cinnamon chip pancakes were the absolute best! Definitely can taste it as I write this review! So good. The "chips" are not chocolate like I originally thought but are a cinnamon sugar chip instead. The cinnamon butter topped on the pancake just brought it together perfectly! The steak and bacon breakfast burrito (we had it without bacon or chorizo) was so good as well. I liked the Vera Cruz hollandaise sauce better than the Al pastor sauce, so I would order again but just with the hollandaise sauce. Great time and wonderful food. Thank you First watch! read more

This is my favorite breakfast spot in Florida and we come here (but different locations) every time I'm in town. Everything I have tried has been amazing so I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. The healthy options are excellent and I always get my green juice. But they also have the yummy pancakes, etc. Service is also always great with the happiest servers - clearly a great place to work. The restaurant is has a nice cozy more upscale dinner vibe with booth and table seating. I forgot to take a pic of my food this time because I was so hungry lol... What a great place! We are visiting family in Apopka and they suggested First Watch for breakfast. The menu is huge but everything is so fresh and has a special twist to it. One of us had barbacoa breakfast tacos. I had a bacon, cheese and avocado omelet, and our third companion had a bacon/hash holiday special. Coffee is poured and served in a pot for the table and water in a carafe. The host was super friendly...even commenting on my Patriots gear. Our server was very attentive. I'm a huge first watch advocate! I love their healthy choices. Brackus was our server at the Apopka location. By far the best service I've ever received at any First watch I've visited. He called everyone in his area by their first name. It made it so much more personable. The food was cooked just how I requested with no issues. I went Sunday morning after church so ambiance was a little loud but not loud to where I couldn't hear the person across from me. First Watch has stepped up their game with décor, service, and even a full bar! My husband and I ate breakfast for the first time at this First Watch location this week and we had a great experience. The décor has a rustic, industrial feel that we both really loved. My husband started with a coffee and I had a hot chocolate, both were delicious and served to us quickly. Our server was friendly, quick, and got everything for our order correct. The spring menu had some interesting options, so both of us decided to get the hacienda hash. Unfortunately, they were out of chorizo. Thankfully, they had an employee on the way to deliver some, so we decided to wait. In the meantime, they gave us some complimentary donut holes with blueberry and chocolate sauce. The donut holes were slightly sweet, had more of a muffin texture then a donut texture, and the dipping sauces were delicious. I got my hash with scrambled eggs and my husband tried eggs over easy. I am not usually a hash person, but this hash was AMAZING! The potatoes were crispy, the chorizo gave it a spicy kick, the eggs were perfectly cooked, and the sauce on top pulled everything together. First Watch, I love you. I really do. But this location needs to get it together. I understand weekends are a zoo here, but some organized leadership may help with the unnecessarily long wait times. The staff, although sweet, is scattered, and being open for this long now, the "chicken without a head" thing going on here is no longer acceptable. That being said, First Watch has the absolute best brunch menu and some fantastic drinks, both alcoholic and not. Just be warned that the service at this location is not yet up to it's other local locations standards. While the employees are wonderful, they always seem extremely short staffed. read more

Worm in salad!!!! My mom ordered a breakfast meal with side salad and had a worm in it. Most of the food was still on plate as we hadn't been eating for too long. We made server aware and she went and spoke to the manager and all manager said is that it's an organic mix and that it's not sprayed for pesticides. We were only comped her food. The only person that actually said sorry was the young man at the register and it seemed that he was new. I spoke to the manager myself and only got an excuse and an apology only when I told her that the guy at register was the only one that had said sorry. Poor customer service if you ask me. What can I say besides I'm glad first watch opened in Apopka. Every time I walk in to this location I'm greeted with a smile and seated quickly. The food is always hot and the service staff is always checking to make sure your needs are met. This location has outside seating on the side and back of building. I will say not the best views but you have options. I tend to sit outside. They have outside fans to help with Florida heat. Speaking of hot. The food came out hot, as requested it hit the spot and cooked just as requested. I will say if you don't want a lot of butter to make sure you tell them because you will get a lot of it (toast). Dirty water glasses, long wait for cold coffee, 1 napkin per person, barely cooked scrambled eggs, rude manager, rushed unprofessional staff, may be what you experience at this breakfast place. If First Watch stops giving courteous, timely, friendly service before 2 PM. They should close at noon or before their normal, timely, efficient service stops. This is the best brunch food you can find in the Orlando metro area. I don't have one bad thing to say about the space, the service, the food or the servers. We are out of towners, visiting from Guam. We had brunch after Sunday mass and we did come in during their lunch rush. Although it was busy upon walking in, we were immediately greeted with smiles and was told we'd be assisted asap. Collin was our server and was great! He checked in on us several times during the our meal even if he was busy with his other tables. The other staff were friendly as well! Food was amazing and so were the drinks. Stopped in at this new location for the first time and was not disappointed. The food at these restaurants is always good and fresh, and the service is almost always prompt. I had the Quinoa pesto chicken, which was delicious and quite filling. Mom had the soup and half sandwich, and she really liked the tomato soup and half club sandwich. This location is even noisier than the others because the ceilings are so high here. And this is my main complaint about First Watch restaurants: I always leave with my ears ringing because of how loud it is. read more

Our first time eating at a First Watch was when we were in our RV in Sarasota Florida. It was amazing and ever since then we have been seeking them out during our travels. The First Watch in Apopka is awesome. Their service is wonderful. Their food like every location we have been at is amazing and if we're staying for a week in a location around them, we find ourselves eating a breakfast or lunch there at least twice, if not more. We love their seasonal menu which changes and the waitresses or waders if you ask them all always recommend you get some thing from there if you're interested because it's not always on the menu.... I cannot honestly tell you anything that we have had there that was bad. Also, if you are dog people most locations have an outdoor patio that allows your dogs there. read more

I waited to write this review as I wanted a few experiences here past the initial opening rush. I am happy to say this is our new favorite breakfast place in Apopka. It is super clean, service is friendly, and the menu is fresh (as all First Watch menus are). They serve alcohol here, so you can get a great bloody mary for breakfast as well. Things I like about this location also include ample outdoor seating and a really nice modern interior. As with all First Watch restaurants, you can get your name on the list ahead of time. This can be hit or miss upon arrival, but it never hurts. They have a bike rack right outside if you happen to live around Errol Estates (as we do), and want a nice ride to the restaurant. All food we ordered was cooked well, and the donuts they have are on point. As a side note, it is great seeing Apopka starting to get places like this, let's keep that momentum going. read more
