    MY V.

Found this place out on accident when we wanted to get something else nearby and it was closed. I didn't know what to expect as we walk-in. I think the place is being remodel and it is a bit cramp inside right now. We wanted to order the oxtail dish but they ran out and we ended up getting the Curried Goat with side of rice. They also ran out of cabbage, but they were nice enough to replace it with the mac and cheese. Great flavor to the curried goat! Nice portion of food that is given to go. Service is a bit slow, but employees were nice. It was a bit busy when I stop in to order. Highly recommend checking this place out if you are looking for Jamaican food. I will have to come back and try their oxtail dish.

I went here recently and got a large veggie plate to go at lunch time (comes with a mixed veggie curry, and I got cabbage, rice and peas, and plantain). I called ahead and got there over 30 minutes later and they still just packaged my meal when I arrived lol. I didn't realize the food is already made and they are just assembling your container when you order. The food was good but there was no protein in the mixed veggies so I had to eat a large amount and a lot of the rice to feel full. My only ask of them would be to add Chana (chickpeas) or some other type of bean (it came with green bean/carrot/corn/okra/little bits of potato). I did add some brown stew gravy to the rice which had a lot of flavor, I imagine the brown stew chicken is sensational. This is large space with very casual vibes. There's indoor and outdoor space. I would come back again but would probably just get a few sides and add my own protein at home.

    Curried Goat

This place is your typical bad attitude Jamaican spot. But the catch is the food is not good because usually the more attitude the better the food. This curry goat is literally all curry and olive oil no other flavors. The goat was tough as leather and I had no choice in my sides. Hair in the food, don't have oxtail or beef patties at 1 pm in the afternoon, clearly had no plans of making that today. I might be spoiled with Jamaican food but before I noticed the hair it was already inedible after a few bites.

Trash food, trash service. Staff is rude and the food is tough and under seasoned. Save your $$

Love coming here for lunch and dinner , food always has so much flavor. Love the curry goat and oxtail.

It was almost too much to eat. Oxtails, rice and cabbage.

The lobster bisque was made with sherry wine, which gave it such a unique, rich flavor. The fish and chips were absolutely to die for. It is on the pricier side, but honestly worth it. Their dill tartar sauce was a standout too, and I'm usually not even a tartar sauce person. The remoulade sauce was also really good. We also had the mac and cheese, which had great flavor and a rich, creamy base. I liked the seasoning and the seafood-style comfort food feel of it, but it was a little too oily for me. After a few bites, the oiliness started to overpower the cheese and made it feel heavier than expected. That was really my only critique, because the taste itself was good and it definitely had potential. For dessert, we had the strawberry mousse, and it was perfect. Light, sweet, and such a good way to end the meal. Overall, this is a great seafood spot with memorable flavors, friendly staff, and dishes I'd absolutely come back for!

The staff and our waiter were incredibly attentive, informative, and accommodating throughout the entire meal. My parents were in town visiting from out of state, and the hospitality went above and beyond. The night was a little blurry after a couple of great drinks, but I am almost certain the owner actually came over in his chef's coat to introduce himself and welcome us when he heard it was my first time there. Incredible food, top-tier service, and a genuinely welcoming vibe. This place is absolute tops!

Lighthouse is both a full seafood market and restaurant, giving you that fresh off the boat quality seafood cooked exactly how you like and served right to your table. I had the Blackened Grouper with broccoli and parsley red potatoes. The fish was seasoned and cooked perfectly, super juicy and incredibly fresh. The sides were just as good paired with the fish perfectly. I also had a tasty little side Caesar salad. The house Caesar dressing was great, lightly dressed so it didn't drown the romaine like some places do, and finished with grated parmesan and crunchy croutons. Overall, this was a great meal. The service was great, the food was excellent, and I would highly recommend checking them out.

My sister started with the clam chowder, which she thought was a little spicy but good. I had a small Caesars salad. For the entree my sister ordered one snow crab cluster which I know for a fact their market price was high, also they don't offer them in any kind of seasoning. Putting Old Bay on them just makes the shell spicy. I ordered the 15 reds, which are peel and eat shrimp. They were great, cooked perfectly. We ordered the hush puppies 3 count, now this was a problem because first they should never be that big and on the oily side to me. Problems I noticed, some of the wait staff is not that friendly also most of the staff serving food without gloves. A young man brought a bowl of food to a customer with his thumb on the rim, gross. This is my major complaint and take away that confirms I won't be back. There are two prices listed on the menu, one if you pay in cash and a higher price if you use a card. That is unacceptable, because some places will state that there will be a percentage up charge , not for every item. The place was somewhat busy when we arrived, but it was a constant flow of traffic, because they also have a seafood market inside to buy your own. I wasn't noisy at all when we went, not sure what it's like later in the evening. My personal takeaway is it's a nice enjoyable place for the locals, but if you're looking flavorful seafood, look further.
