I had the most amazing experience looking for a wedding gown at Max Bridal. I got to try on dresses in my own private room - which was so nice! I worked with Kaitlyn who was absolutely amazing. She already had dresses pulled for me based on what I let them know that I liked and after we talked further about what I was looking for, she brought me back a few more dresses to try. She picked a dress for me that had everything I was looking for and more! As I still had a few more appointments lined up, I let her know that I had to think about it and explore what else was out there before committing to this dress. She was never pushy and never made me feel pressured to buy it right away. I did not end up buying my dress here, only because a trunk show discount at another store had the same exact dress for a lower price. When I told Kaitlyn she was completely understanding and was even able to offer me a discount, however the trunk show pricing at the other store was still slightly lower. I went with my sister to her bridal appointment and even though I wasn't the bride, these ladies were so super sweet and really poured so much into my sister's appointment, I felt I owed it to them to write them a review! These ladies were fantastic! They were extremely welcoming and pleasant! They close the store for your appointment and take time to focus on just one bride at a time which really make it a special experience. Amy was the attendant who helped my sister and she was absolutely a pleasure!! She really listened to my sister and found the perfect dress within just a few tries. I visited the boutique last night, and couldn't have been any happier with the customer service, selections, or attention to detail. We were fortunate to have worked with Celia, who is professional, energetic, compassionate, witty, and makes the trip worthwhile. From the moment we walked in she was all smiles. She made us feel welcomed, at home, and referred to me by name, as opposed to using pronouns all night. She took the time to really listen to my requests, body image issues, what I wanted to accentuate, what I did not, what I liked, didn't, and why. She also listened to my mom's comments, and although I was stripped down to a thong and nothing more, I didn't feel uncomfortable alone in the dressing room with her. She's hysterical, very down to earth, and honest; which I appreciated, and her feedback never made me feel bad or offended (which has happened in other stores). It is obvious she loves her job and it is even more apparent she "knows her brides," and has a nack for pulling the right dress for your body. She does appreciate a bride who is open to different styles and options; there's a method to her madness. Yes the boutique has 1 dressing room, but it's for your benefit; they're giving you all their attention. The Allure dresses are gorgeous. They're sample gowns and are tried on hundreds of times by the time you see it so, as in most shops, they will have some imperfections, but they are not at all to the degree which the other reviews mention. I actually had no issues with the dresses, maybe 1 or 2 beadings were loose, otherwise, fine. The boutique is clean and organized. Music is playing, lights are bright. This was our 2nd day shopping, the 3rd store we visited, and they surely raised the bar. There's a chance we may have found the dress, but as in all good (maybe crazy) bridal fashion, we will continue to search, but the dress we had on last night is definitely #1 thus far. Xo! read more

She was able to pick such great dresses because she got to know my friend first. On our first appointment we didn't find 'the dress' but were invited back for a trunk show a week later. That's when the magic happened ! Seon remembered what styles looked good, what type of bride my friend is, and had some great ideas before we even walked in. I can not say enough good things about this place. It was my first time trying on dresses and I had Amanda as my consultant. She immediately helped me find my style dress and so many beautiful options. She made me try on numerous other styles, so I knew the style I choose was the one. I nailed it down to a few dress styles I loved and decided on booking the MVB appt, so all my friends could come and we got the entire store to ourselves, they catered some food to us & champagne !!! I tried on about 7 dresses for my girls and my mom and ended up saying yes to the dress by the end of the night! Truly an unforgettable moment filled with so many emotions. If you are looking for a unique wedding dress please make an appt. here! I made an appt. the same day as I saw they carried a majority of the designers I was interested in or had already tried something from. Most of their dresses were in my budget so I felt like a kid in a candy store. I arrived a few minutes early but the staff was courteous and helpful as we waited. They set up a room for my appt. and I met with my consultant Julie. I must say I truly enjoyed her as my consultant as she helped myself and my group (mom and mother in law) communicate our opinions throughout the appt. Julie was able to provide advice to me as a bride having just recently been a MOG and I appreciated the insight and knowledge. She truly understood what I was looking for and was not afraid to tell me her opinions of the dresses and I loved that. They had a beautiful selection of dresses and I ultimately found my dress towards the end of the appt. Julie was so helpful and funny and I did not feel rushed whatsoever. The other girls that helped me were Aileen and Amanda and they were also so sweet. I cannot say enough good things about this store and I'm so happy that this is the place where I purchased my wedding dress! At Max Bridal I had the WORST experience ever in my life! I walked in there with my mother in law with an in advance appointment. They called a girl (I don't remember her name with glasses and blondish hair) to help us to find a dress. She was extremely cold, didn't pay attention to whatever I or my mother in law asked about and extremely rude! After "helping" us for 10 minutes (I was going through dresses myself and picking ones that I would like to try as she completely didn't understand what I was looking for and was keeping on showing options that had NOTHING to do with a mermaid style that I asked for) she started almost yelling at me and my mother in law saying that we confuse her and she feels like since the beginning of the appointment we don't get along well. Imagine a retail store assistant telling you all of that after you liked two gowns and were to the point of ordering one of those. With my mother in law we had been to several other bridal stores and never, I mean NEVER came across to such a rude and offensive "assistance". We were just speechless. So after she started yelling at us I asked her to call the manager or someone else who could help us and I did that just because I really liked a particular gown. Someone came to help not being very interested in helping us at all so we decided to make another appointment with manager so that I could try the gown on again and make a purchase. On our second appointment regardless of very cold welcome and reckless "help" that we received at that store I paid the deposit for the gown and placed an order when I saw that in their contract they tell you that the store bears no responsibility for their seamstress job. I was quite surprised how that's possible and didn't want to place my order at that point worrying about the end result but loved the gown so much that I did it. But that wasn't the last shock that I received in my experience with this bridal salon! Next day after placing my order I received a call from the store telling me that they refuse to proceed with my order and that I could stop by at the store to take back my refund. And that all after the awful experience I had in that store and still purchased the gown! The explanation? They don't feel comfortable as they cannot assure their seamstress does a good job and don't want to have problems with me. What a nightmare experience!!!! Thank God, there is a store like Bridal Reflections where they not only ordered the same gown for me where they didn't even carry that particular style but also were extremely helpful and their seamstress did and amazing job! And thank to Bridal reflections I had an amazing wedding and was constantly complemented on my wedding gown. Don't put yourself into stress and disappointment and don't waste your time dealing with Max Bridal! read more

This was my first time shopping for a gown, and I was very disappointed. When I arrived, Chelsea was my consultant, and was running a little late. Ok, but I was told that my first time appointment was 90 minutes. When we talked, I told her my likes and dislikes, my budget (but was willing to be flexible), and that I was interested in Stella York. Based on what I told her, she told me that I can only pick from one rack, and all the dresses I showed her they "didn't have". She didn't make an effort to step out of the box a little bit, and didn't pull one dress that I tried on. About 45 minutes into my appointment she said that we had to start wrapping it up, but I still had one more Stella York dress to try on. She "let" me try it on, but even if we started my appointment on time, I was still being cut on time. Overall, my first experience was NOT GREAT, and I will not be returning. read more

A great overall experience! This was the very first shop I made an appointment at to try on Wedding Dresses and was so pleased and happy with my experience!! I was initally nervous about so many things going into the appointment but the staff was so friendly and kind, they put you right at ease. Celia was AMAZING! She is such sweet woman and is great at her job! The shop allows you to take pictures of the dresses and they do not pressure you into purhcasing something right on the spot. I got married on July 9th in an absolutely stunning Allure dress. I would never have felt so beautiful or so perfect if I did not work with the staff at Max Bridal. She was beyond helpful and knew exactly what to pull when I told her my vision. She put me in the most beautiful gowns, better than I ever imagined. The first time I came here, I was blown away on how personalized my experience was. They place your name in front of the room on a plaque with your wedding date, and then allow time for you to walk around and look at various styles. It was my very first shopping trip, so it was a bit overwhelming, however, I was super excited to find that the average size for the dresses there was a 14. I am a 10 in dresses usually, so the 14 fit perfectly. I didn't pick a dress the first day, but I knew that I needed to come back again. My second time there, I knew what I was looking for and after pulling several styles, I was able to say yes to a Max Bridal dress. The staff is incredible, especially the manager (Alene?) She always greeted me with a smile when I came for my fittings, and she was super helpful with matching the veil to my dress. I also want to thank the seamstress there. I bought my beautiful prom dress here in late February. This was a wonderful process because there was a room full of vintage dresses that I was able to leaf through until I found my dream dress. Though this may not have worked for some people (I don't know if Max Bridal still houses these dresses) it was a lot of fun. Patrons are also able to order from a catalogue of Watters & Watters dresses. The dresses are varied and different so anyone can find something that would work for them. All of the staff were so helpful and took the time to make sure I was comfortable. I am so appreciative of the extra care that was given to make sure I knew what accessories to wear with my dress, and I actually also bought a headband from Max Bridal to wear with the dress. I am a bride that has visited over ten bridal boutiques on Long Island. In fact, I was the bride that could not say, "Yes to the dress." However, I can easily say that Max Bridal provided me with the BEST experience when it came to trying on and choosing a wedding gown. To begin, the receptionist was pleasant, asked in depth details about my wedding, and was very accommodating to my schedule. Upon arrival, Jillian (my bridal consultant) let me touch and look at every dress in the store. She was inquisitive about my wedding - paying close attention to the details (and pictures) of my venue and the style of my wedding. In addition to the dresses that I was interested in, she pulled several that fit the exact theme of my wedding. While trying on dresses, Jillian spent the time asking me questions in regard to my fiance and our engagement. She was the ONLY consultant out of the several bridal boutiques that I went to that was actually HONEST with me about the way dresses looked. She encouraged me to walk around in the dresses and was extremely knowledgable about the design/material. After weeks of feeling pressure from other boutiques (to pick a dress/to settle on a style), it was nice to have someone who cared about my desires as a bride, rather than on making the sale.
