Truly baffled that this place has so many positive reviews. Had a terrible experience. Their selection is incredibly limited, mostly consisting of dresses covered in embellishments and sparkle, so if that's not what you're looking for, you're out of luck. The few dresses that were more classic came in a very limited size range. If you're bigger than a size 12, they have nothing for you. Our consultant barely conversed with us and acted almost annoyed at our presence. There wasn't even music on in the salon so myself and the bride's party sat there in silence as we waited. And the chairs they offered could use some replacing. I was worried they would break since they clearly were VERY used. All in all, my friend tried on one dress and we were there for a total of 20 min. Our consultant couldn't care less and was very cold. Would never recommend this salon to anyone. Thankfully we had a wonderful experience at Lotus Bridal earlier in the day or else my friend would have been very discouraged. A very bizarre and off-putting experience. Hidden gem! So many choices, I was the only bride. The lady who helped me was funny and patient.

My friend and I visited this shop one day we thought we would be able to just walk in and to our surprise we were told by staff they work by app only. This is not unusual many places have this policy on place. One associate Sam did end up assisting us and allowed my friend to try on 3 dresses quickly as they were supposed to be leaving early even though closing time would be 6 as displayed on site. Now our first interaction was off they came off as if they did not want to assist much.. We set an app and since Sam helped us we felt comfortable with her leading us on an app. The other lady that she works along side said book on a particular day and "you can have us both" so we thought why not have two people help pull dresses and see if we would be able to find something. Well not an ounce of me felt that she was interested in helping at all, The initial time we met she also came off very judgmental. Just as I expected the day of the appointment she was no help at all she sat at the front desk never got up once to assist in any way, made a few comments that's it that is all. While I was there during this appointment not one other customer walked in nor did I hear the phone ring so we both felt the same way about her. We arrived on time and filled Sam in as the look that she was now seeking has changed. This way we wouldn't waste time as she would mainly pull dresses of our interest. The dresses are in the back so we were told to stay in the front by the fitting room as the dresses are being brought out to us. This go around I believe she tried on maybe 5-6 dresses all beautiful and we did leave with one dress in mind that she thought could be the dress. It all came down to the back being very low and open which overall was not the look she wanted. I contacted blossom brides in desperation for help, my seamstress ruined the design of my dress with alterations. I called blossom brides and they gave me Diala's number. She answered, ask for pics, and she told me to come right over with my dress. With out hesitation she told me she can fix it. She saved the esthetic of my gown. What could have been my worst nightmare wound up being fixed thanks to Diala! She honesty saved the day, I would have been miserable had I had to walk down the aisle in what my original seamstress did. The fist pic was the original dress, the second is what the seamstress in my Bridal shop did and the third pic is after Diala put it back into its original shape. Sherie took her time getting to know what I imagined my wedding dress to be like. I can't even express to you in words how amazing my experience here was but I'm going to try. Okay for starters I had a dress in mind my first visit I did not show any pictures all I did was describe it to Sheri, she brought me over 5 dresses all similar and the dress I had a picture of in particular she also brought over and said I think your going to love this one and she was right! That was the one. So this was also mid pandemic and at the time only one person was allowed to come, so they allowed me To have 4 different appointments with the ones who meant most to me, Sheri even stayed late one day. So I already was very pleased and then I met Dalia, who was a complete angel to work with. I gained a few Pounds during Covid like a lot of us, and I was so upset and nervous because my dress did not fit, my next appointment 1 week later Dalia took out my dress and I felt like a beautiful bride, I also brought a veil in with me from else where, which I had a few concerns about Dalia altered it and made it the veil of my dreams. I felt like I was part of the family here by the time I picked up my Dress. This wasn't your typical get you in and out experience it was so much more. After wiping my tears, the bestie sprung into problem solving mode calling every bridal shop to see if they had a dress I could purchase off the rack. Serendipitously, Blossom Bride had 1) the dress I wanted, 2) in my size, and 3) at their warehouse. They could have it in the shop within a week! The woman on the phone told me to come right over and we'd get started. WHAAAATTT??? We zoomed over and before you know it Dalia was woman-handling my bits. She is a straight shooter who told me that I looked voluptuous in the dress, what she would do to accentuate my shape, and what was not realistic. It was my daughter's wedding and of course I wanted everything to be perfect but I didn't think it would be so difficult to find a dress. I searched for months in stores and online and tried on too many dresses to count. Finally five months before the wedding, I found, in a small boutique (not Blossom Brides) , a beautiful dress that fit well, looked good and was comfortable to wear but was damaged and discontinued! It could not be ordered. I had to purchase the dress off the rack, damages and all. Fortunately I was given a discounted price, two weeks to return the dress and a referral to Dahlia. Dahlia owns Blossoms Brides and runs a seamstress operation out of her home basement. I continued to search feverishly for another dress or for that same dress in better condition but I was out if time and so tired of looking. When I showed the dress to Dahlia, a few days before my return deadline, she sensed my reservations about the dress but she convinced me that it was a great dress for me. It fit me well, was perfect for my coloring and she could fix it and fix it she did! She repaired the ripped zipper , the loose snaps and the damaged and loose beading and adjusted the length of the the dress. She also made me a matching shall with fabric I later purchased in Manhattan. Her rates were reasonable and the dress was made perfect! I decided to have a short engagement, so Blossom Brides was recommended as a reliable store with a shorter wait for dresses than the typical 6 mos. I am not a typical bride and never looked forward to gown shopping. I felt nervous and overwhelmed. However, Janine was unbelievably wonderful. I really can't rave enough about Blossom Brides, and Janine in particular! It's a boutique store and the ladies there pay such attention to detail. I found my dress in under 45 mins. Janine knew exactly what my vision and budget were, and stuck with them the whole time! She went above and beyond in getting me different veils to try, and helped me take photos of the options. I also really appreciate how they carry larger sample sizes for the more curvier girls. I'm a bridal size 16 and the sample size they had for "my dress" was my size. I cannot tell you how important it is to make every bride of every size feel beautiful and included, and that's what they did. You can just tell that everyone there really cares about the brides that walk through their doors. I can't wait to start the alterations process--I've heard wonderful things about Dalia! I can not say enough good things about Blossom Brides. I chose to go to them for my first appointment trying on dresses after reading the Yelp reviews and worked with Sherie who was amazing. When I arrived for my appointment Sherie had been working with another bride who came in for a fitting and then decided to try on other gowns throwing the schedule off a little bit but Sherie juggled both of us professionally and gave me some extra time to make up for it (which was impressive because there was also a sample sale that day). Sherie completely understood my style after a few dresses, brought options within my budget, helped me in and out of each dress and was fantastic at pinning (details that you notice after a couple appointments). When I fell in love with a dress but hated the bottom, Sherie offered to contact the manufacturer to price out additional lace to fix the part I didn't like, which ended up being VERY expensive. Well Sherie discussed the issue with Dalia who offered to find lace in the city and found the PERFECT lace. Since all this took a few weeks I had the chance to try on dresses at several other shops but nothing came close to the dress that Sherie and Dalia were able to customize for me. It worked out that my family happened to be in town the day I went back to see the lace Dalia found so they got to see me in my dress and once I said YES! Sherie and Janine toasted champagne with us and took photos with my family for me. That means I harbored no expectation whatsoever for personalized service of any kind. Literally I just wanted to see if the styles and price point available at this shop were amenable to my needs. I was assured we could not because, well, they already have two brides there and they're a small boutique, so... I looked into the boutique and saw PLENTY of room for us to poke around without even remotely troubling any of the customers who did have appointments. But okay, sure, no room for me. Got it. I did not have a good experience here. It was hard to even sort through the dresses on the rack because they were all stored in heavy plastic covers. This means I couldn't touch the dress materials until I took them off the rack and into the dressing room. The space was very tight and not very accomodating for multiple brides to be trying on dresses. To top it off, my stylist made an off-hand comment about how I met my fiance. I had my eye on a certain dress, which is how I found Blossom Brides, and I was blown away with the attention and help she gave me throughout the process. She had me try on different belts and vails, and the selection was gorgeous. Janine was so helpful and sweet and made sure that I tried on a lot of options to be sure I was in love with my dress. The dress choices were all within my budget, and she even extended the sample sale price to me since my designer is having a sample sale at the end of next month. I've thought for awhile about my rating, and have landed on a 3/5 for the reasons below. Pros: Their online system made it easy to make an appointment. I worked with Janine, who was patient and positive. I ultimately bought my dress here off the rack 50% off, and loved it. They have beautiful dresses. Dalia, the seamstress, has an honest, blunt demeanor, which worked for me. I had fun going in for my alterations. The bustle was color coded and easy for my mother to do on her own. Finally, I was honest with Dania, Sherie, and Janine about the nature of my discontent, and they were receptive and positive in the face of criticism. Cons: I was told by Janine my only option was off the rack due to the date of my wedding; it was too soon to order a new dress. However, after I chose my dress, Dalia came out and told Janine that if I wanted the dress in true white (instead of ivory), they could order it for me. If there was still time to order my dress new, why was I told only off the rack? This sort of miscommunication happened again when it came to alterations. Janine told me very clearly there was a cap on alterations at $650, but that mine were likely to be anywhere from $200-300 dollars because I did not need a hem. I was surprised to find out weeks later that my alterations were $680 ($30 added to cap for cup inserts)! When I pointed out her previous comment about the hem, she had no recollection and had no idea I didn't have a hem. She clarified with Dalia, and "knocked off" $100 without apology or recognition of the mistake. This makes me think they simply charge the max without conferring with one another. I actually asked for an itemized receipt for whatever work was done on the dress, but it simply said "Alterations $550, Cups $30." It seems untrustworthy. Biggest Con: The alterations looked good in the store but were a disappointment on my wedding day. The eye on the hook and eye ripped off the dress just before walking down the aisle. My mother had to sew the dress closed at the top of the zipper. Also, since I only looked at the dress face-on in the store, I didn't realize that one of the cops on the dress was visible from the side view. In nearly every single picture you can see a piece of one of the cups! Ultimately, the miscommunication and less than stellar alterations would lead me to direct friends elsewhere...unless Blossom Brides has the dress of their dreams. read more
