I searched 3-4 stores for the best price on the tile for my home project. My tile came in before scheduled, I recieved my 2' x 2' tiles with no damages, and I got a fair price. Also, when we saw we had ordered a box or two short and the tile was coming from back east and had to be shipped, Louis got on it right away and made sure we had enough to finish the job with little to no lag time. Everytime a dealt with Louis, he was extemely helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly! I WILL be going there to get tile for my next project even thoughit is a 35-40 minute drive for me. They installed the cabinets that I sourced from another company (although they also manufacture their own cabinets in-house), and everything was installed to spec with the trim pieces cut perfectly to match. For the countertops, I sourced my own quartzite slabs, and F&L handled the rest. They picked up the slabs, created the templates based on my cabinets, fabricated everything, and completed the installation. The templating team also went above and beyond to make sure my expensive slabs were used as efficiently as possible with virtually nothing wasted. They took the time to help me plan the layout so the veining flowed naturally across the countertops and backsplash, which made a huge difference in the final result. As someone who had never gone through this process before, I really appreciated their patience and attention to detail. We purchased our material in Santa Clara and Felix picked everything up for us, and kept our calacatta viola slab in his shop until it was time to fabricate. They did an excellent job with our marble, making sure to use every inch of the slab. I am so impressed w the fabrication of our integrated sinks. They implemented everything I asked for and had great suggestions for design ideas. His whole team did a great job, from demo, to installation. They even went above and beyond and fixed several things that I didn't even think of at no extra cost, taking into account household safety. Freddy was very reasonable to work with. He's a super busy business owner trying to run his business while also doing work in the field. A lot of the negative reviews on this site likely don't understand how difficult it is to do that. You gotta have a little bit of grace for his schedule and the other jobs they're juggling, but across the board he worked with me on timeline as we had just bought this house and wanted to move in as soon as possible, and was incredibly reasonable. From a price perspective he wasn't the cheapest, but he also wasn't the most expensive, and his prices seemed very reasonable for the quality of work. I highly recommend him. I have to say again, I think it's likely that negative reviewers here either 1) don't understand how the trades work, or 2) were likely very difficult to work with as a customer, which always makes it harder on the contractor. I worked for about 5 years as a project manager for a construction management company and can testify that there was nothing negative about my experience with Medina Construction, interacting with the young business owner, Freddy, his father, or any of his workers.
