We hired FL Granite & Marble to fabricate and install our quartzite countertop and backsplash after shopping around quite a bit. These guys are very reasonably priced and also helped get great discounts on slabs from stone dealers. Felix and his team were super courteous and helped find the best solutions for our needs. I can't thank Jhoana and the team at FL Granite & Marble enough for their help with our kitchen countertops! We had a grout countertop previously and no amount of scrubbing could get the discolored gunk out of the grout. So we decided to go with a quartz countertop and also change out our kitchen sink (double bowl to single for more space). We bought the sink and faucet we wanted and the FL team installed it for us, including a new garbage disposal. From the initial quote to starting the project and all the finishing touches, Jhoana and team were patient with all of our questions and ensured we were happy every step of the way. They even did the repainting where the paint chipped or came off during demolition (luckily we still had tons of leftover paint)! For the countertop material, they referred us to Bedrosians (which I highly recommend as well!) There are good and bad. Felix and Jhoana were easy to communicate with and flexible, prices were competitive, workers came promptly and got the job done quickly. However, the demo team damaged everything when they removed the old countertops: paint inside the cabinet, wood outside the cabinet, the wall. They didn't tell me about it before or after. I had to point it out. They sent someone to fix some of it by adding an extra trim then tried to charge me for fixing the issue that they caused. So now I have an extra trim plus a bunch of scratched up wall to patch and paint. They also reinstalled an old mirror in a different place than before, without asking me, drilling new holes in the process then caulking the mirror in place which made it super hard for me to remove the mirror cuz I hated where it was now installed. They could have taken an extra 2 minutes to ask whether I wanted it reinstalled and where. So while i appreciate how fast the work was done, the lack of attention to detail caused me a lot of headache. read more

I couldn't recommend this business more! I had a large fireplace remodel to do, so I gathered quotes from 4 different places. FL Granite & Marble's pricing was not only extremely competitive, but it was one of only two businesses that said they could take on the entire project, rather than just doing the stonework. The entire project, which included demolition of what was already there, framing, and attaching 10 separate slabs of stone to our wall took only 3 working days! The front office was also extremely helpful and pointed me to a nearby slab shop in San Jose that was able to source our hearth. I used FL Granite & Marble for my bathroom counter, May 2020 and they did a great job. Felix was in communication throughout the process and he came out to measure the counter. We ended up using a piece of quartz and the sinks he had in stock and I bought faucets from KZ Kitchen Cabinet & Stone and two Kholer medicine cabinets from Amazon. One of the Amazon cabinets was slightly damaged by UPS and FL came back and swapped the replacement for me. The FL Granite & Marble team did the demolition and they cut and installed the countertop and backsplash and they installed the cabinets and connected the plumbing and repainted the wall. Unreliable service... messed up my bathroom remodeling project. I'll places a special order 82 sf 12" by 24" tiles on Monday 5-17-24 the receptionist said it will arrive by the end of the week. On Friday I called the girl said"it's not here yet, Wait till next week" ..so I waited Next week came I called she said "sorry it not here yet" I told her you messed up my project schedule and my contractor is not happy with it, he can't just wait for the tiles to come ... if you don't have the tiles why did you make me pay the full amount at the beginnig ??? And then she said "next Monday.". - Next Monday was the 3rd week I called the girl said " the tiles are here tomorrow (Tuesday) tell your guy to pick them up in the afternoon." -Tuesday morning the girl receptionist called me saying there's something wrong...i don't have the tiles and told me to wait till the end of June..., Really another 24 days??? I got very upset because I have to pay my contractor extra money for holding him back from another job ... beside I had bought $600 designer the premium tiles floor go with go with the wall tiles u ordered from FL granite and marble. They are not returnable. After contacting the owner Felix. He apologized and kept saying it was not his store fault but the venders.. I told him even though it was not his fault he had a responsibility with the customers... I said "your store took my money for almost 3 weeks also I spent $600 at another store to buy the tiles to match your now what do I do the $600 tiles...I request he had to pay me half of my money $300 to compensate for my inconvenience and stress that his store caused...Felix refused!!! Now I have to deal with my contractor and place an other 2weeks order for a new tile. What a mess FL refunded my money.. for the order, that's is??? I have to loose my $600 for non refunded floor tiles.... it's fair. He failed to live up to his reputations. This is not ethical! The purpose of my review is to warn other customers about how this FG granite n marble store conducts their business so that they don't have to go thru bad experience like I had. After having new floors installed and the whole interior painted in our new home, our kitchen counters/backsplash stuck out like a sore thumb. They had to go. I started the search for my countertops here. I physically went to the shop, and immediately received friendly help from office staff. I told her what my parameters were, and what I was looking for. She walked me around and showed me options that fit my budget and style, and I left with a quote. I said thank you, and went to five other countertop places for quotes. What a waste of time that ended up being! These guys offer a one-stop solution, which includes demolition and removal of old countertops and sink, as well as plumbing and installation of my new sink. Other places may have offered the actual material for less, but this did not include measuring, cutting, installation, or putting in a sink. It was simply the price for a slab of material. Once I did the math, it ended up being around the same price, if not more, and I would have to round up various contractors to make it work. Even IKEA could not beat their quote! Once I placed my order, the turnaround was super fast! They went above and beyond to work around my schedule. They also relocated my outlets so that I could have backsplash (my old house had them low and they were all uneven!). The final result is beautiful and I couldn't be happier. I didn't have to deal with multiple contractors, just the friendly and accommodating staff and crew at FL Granite. Communication was fast and effective. We were purchasing and installing a new oven. The original oven that was in the house when we moved in had custom cabinetry and counter work around it. As a result, we needed about 1/2" cut off from each side of the granite countertop to get the new oven to fit. Most of the places I called were not interested in doing a minor job like this. They primarily focused on huge kitchen remodels with custom countertop work. FL Granite & Marble was one of the only places willing to do this. The process was very efficient. They did not even need to come out to provide an estimate. Instead, they requested pictures via email and a description of the work desired and provided a fair estimate. The guys that showed up to do the work were professional, courteous, and wore shoe covers. They actually took great care to try and minimize the inevitable dust that would be generated by cutting the stone by running a shop vac the whole time to suck in as much of the stone dust as possible. The cutting was done well and the new oven fit the opening perfectly. Jhoana was very responsive over email despite a lot of back and forth as we had to wait for the existing stove to be removed and for our own decision on the specific oven we were going to order. FL Granite & Marble did a great job on my kitchen remodel. I had the outdated "uba tuba" granite countertops and backsplash removed and replaced with a marble-look calacatta quartz along with a subway-stacked tile backsplash from Bedrosians. They also do electrical and plumbing so I had them install swing-arm sconces over the kitchen windows, remove an existing central fluorescent light fixture and replace with 2 new hanging pendants over the island, install new under cabinet lighting, and also install a new sink and faucet. Jhoana, the office manager, was very attentive and responsive to all of my questions and concerns throughout the process, from estimate to final invoice. She was always very quick to respond to my emails and calls. I really appreciated that she coordinated the purchase of the materials directly through their vendor, especially the tile, so I didn't have to deal with that during COVID! It is not easy to design and choose materials for a remodel during a pandemic, but she made that process as easy as possible given the circumstances. Felix, the project manager, is fantastic. He is one of the nicest and kindest contractors I have worked with. When one of the quartz slabs that was installed was defective, he worked directly with the manufacturer to make sure that it was replaced (and it was!) I was very grateful that he followed through on his word to make sure that we received a final product that we were happy with. He also came out to the job site to supervise and coordinate the various trades, making sure that everything was going smoothly. The team that installed the tile was the absolute best...I have had tile installed in other homes that I've owned and I have never seen such quality workmanship as I did here. The cuts were perfection and the grout lines impeccable. The pricing was reasonable and in line with other estimates I had received, but I could not find another contractor that was really a "one-stop shop." We hit a few snags with timing due to COVID and the holidays, but overall Felix and his crew finished the job and we have a nice new kitchen to enjoy. We simply could not be happier with Felix and his crew from FL Granite and Marble. They are simply amazing. I agree with other reviewers that he is one of the nicest, kindest contractors around. And, he has a great sense of humor! Our kitchen was built in 1959 with minimal upgrades since. They remove the original cabinets and tile all during this past, difficult year with masks and every safety precaution in place. This company can do everything - plumbing, electrical, new gas line for Wolf gas cooktop, water line for icemaker, painting, tile installation, hardwood floor refinishing, lighting. End product Quartz countertop with cutouts for sink and stove top. Additionally we extended the Island countertop by 8". Added a waterfall design on end of island. The final result of the project is 5 star quality and construction. My wife and friends and family love the look of the marble like Quartz. I am elated with the outcome. If there was a rating of 4.5 stars that's what I would grade the project. But there are some suggestions that I have for anyone who is planning a project of this size and expense with Felix and his crew. Firstly, we had done much research on all types of countertops before ending up in Felix's business. Truthfully, we had been quoted from a much less expensive competitor warehouse and we were on our way to close the deal. That's when we noticed the reviews were very subpar. Everything from the quality of the Quartz to the problems with service and installation. We also had a quote from Home Depot. So we searched for another option and ran into the rave reviews of FL Granite & Marble. Felix's business is run like a family owned establishment. It's not a big box or large warehouse type business. It's medium size and you have direct communication with the owner and people doing the work. The communication throughout the job was spot on. His staff are capable at email, texting and returning timely phone messages. Felix even came to our home to help design the waterfall, bar top and sidewall covering the stove top exhaust pipe. That was a huge job confidence boost for my wife and me, especially with the job being a hour away in Salinas. This was a big job and required some serious back and forth on everything from design to installation to crews taking over our home for a couple days; clean up etc... The service, end result and level of trust that we had in FL Marble was top notch. They are willing to work with you if you want to do the prep plumbing.(detach the sink, dishwasher, refrigerator and stove top).The crew they sent to demo and instal was great. But they essentially work on there own without Felix overseeing the job. So there were a few situations involving clean up that should have run smoother. So I guess what I'm saying is you need to be in good communication with Felix and his crew through the job to get the best result. read more
