Patients are discouraged from speaking their true thoughts on Yelp and Google after the visit. My opinion- Davis is an unethical dentist practice that places money before the welfare of their patients. The worst part is, they have an ongoing ad in St Anthony's weekly bulletin. This practice saw not only one but two children of mine. Subsequently, I had my own exam a couple months later. At the end of my exam.... (in which they did not give me an oral hygienist to clean my teeth)... told me that they do not accept my insurance (about 2 or 3 months after they saw my daughters), and tell me AFTER my exam, that they must bill upfront the costs, then I have to wait for my insurance company to reimburse me. I confronted their business administrator asking why they chose to treat my two daughters, then myself many months later and NOT advise me that they were not part of my dental insurance group. She then tells me that this is just the way they do things. There is no other medical specialty that expects payment upfront before filing a claim through insurance. They want to put 100% of the risk on the patient. And if there is a dispute between what the insurance company reimburses and what Davis wants to charge, you are left holding the bag. This is a very unethical business. Take your business elsewhere.

They also took my insurance info over the phone and called the insurance company in advance to find out what was covered so there would be no surprises for me with the bill. When I arrived, the front office staff was very friendly and I only had to wait a few minutes before they were ready for me. Stacie was the hygienist that cleaned my teeth. The good: The staff was really helpful when booking the appointment. Melinda & Debbie were great! They called my insurance to make sure all was good, they called me several times to give me updates and they even called me to offer me a more convenient time. Kudos to them. The bad: When I asked if the doctor is going to at least do a visual inspection of my teeth she said that she couldn't because we have to get some x-ray done and/or a teeth cleaning. I am no dentist and I understand that getting an x-ray will help to see if we have something "hidden" going on however you don't NEED an x-ray for a 5 minutes visual inspection just to see if there was anything going on that she'd spot. She did not do it and left. I could have had a big open cavity on the right side of my mouth but I don't know and I have to wait for an opening. They did not even offer me a glass of water/mouth wash to rinse the residue of tartar/products in my mouth after the very light cleaning. Honestly I felt completely insignificant, that they really did not want me there and that they only wanted me to come back to charge me more service to my insurance.
