I showed up at the end of their work day asking for them to press out an old bearing and hub. I also asked for them to press in the new ones. I had asked another place to do it, but they (after several hours) said they were unable to complete the work due to lack of tooling. I was left with a last minute effort to get it done so I could work. They, without reluctance, performed the work in a timely manner and at a reasonable price. Jason was absolutely amazing!! I had been trying to get my brakes replaced all day, there was an issue getting the car in service mode. I didn't know what I needed to do or even ask when I stopped my Maxi. Jason listened to me ramble all the things I had been told that day, he was so helpful, didn't make me feel bad for not knowing what I was talking about, came out to my car made sure he could get it in service mode. He quickly gave me a quote and pulled my car in immediately to change my brakes!! He was able to quote me way cheaper than the 2 other places I had been earlier in the day! Can't say enough about my experience at Maxi Auto Service Center. I came in needing headlights installed. They stopped what they were doing to help me and spent about an hour working on my car. I'm so impressed with the service I received at Maxi. I had an exhaust leak that was causing check engine lights to come on, they fixed it and didn't charge me an arm and a leg. I have taken my cars to various Maxi Autos in the Chattanooga area since 2014. I've been to Red Bank and Hixson. I have never had an issue until I visited this location. I went in for a routine front brake/rotor replacement. When I got the car back, the brake pedal would go to the floor. I waited a week to see if maybe they needed to be "worn in". Nope, called and spoke with Jason, he advised me to bring the car back in and they would check it. I did...they told me they were re-bled and I should see improvement in a few days (or driving 50 miles or so). I did that. Brake pedal still going to the floor. So I called several other mechanic shops and consulted with my mechanic friends. Everyone said the same thing. The brakes were not bled properly, the booster seal is busted, or the master cylinder was messed up. I called Jason back at Maxi and explained my findings. He told me to bring the car back in. I did..for the 3rd time. Now he tells me they DIDN'T bleed the brakes, and were not liable b/c they did the Auto bleed and did not do a manual bleed....crazy b/c every other mechanic I have spoken to manually bleeds the brakes. They messed up my car, and refuse to take accountability for their mistake. I know to you I'm just an unhappy client, but I work 80 hours a week to make ends meet, and spending $535 dollars for NOTHING is a big deal. I don't have extra money, I trusted you to do a simple job and now I do not feel safe driving my car, which is how I get to WORK 80 hours a week....and with your screw up I can't even drive my car until I save more money to go to another mechanic, which will take months. I didn't ask for much, just some dang brakes and you completely dismissed your mistake and spoke to me like I am some dumb girl who has never had her car worked on. I have never in my 30 years of driving had this happen. This is not right, at all and you know it Jason. You know your mechanic messed up and kept giving me the run around like I'm stupid. I do not feel safe driving that car, and now I have to cancel my summer trip that I have spent the last YEAR saving for b/c you don't want to eat the cost for repairing my car b/c it might mess with your store numbers....What ever happened to good people? Doing the right thing, being honest and taking responsibility? But hey, at least your sales look good, right? Even at the expense of the consumer? The TCP act has been violated here... read more

Wow! What a relief to find a place that will treat you right as a custumer and keep your bottom line in consideration. A little over a year ago I moved to Chattanooga, TN after accepting a job offer. It wasn't long after moving here that I required routine car maintenance for my 2003 Honda Accord. For convenience's sake I took my car to an auto service place close by because I was new to the area and previously familiar with store. After three or four negative experiences with this company, I was fed up with basic services being overpriced, problems being misdiagnosed [or not diagnosed at all], and being peddled unnecessary services. Anyways, two weeks ago I noticed my brakes were squeaking and decided it was probably time to get those looked at. I refused to return to the previous auto shop so I called around and found Maxi Auto Service Center on Brainerd Rd. I checked first for their brake service prices and was greeted on the telephone by Ron. With great pleasure, I took my car in a week later and received excellent care from the shop and its management. They even were able to diagnose and fix the ignition problem that had been plaguing my car for months [the problem that the other auto shop referred me to the Honda dealership for]. They were quick and efficient. Ron obviously was the captain of the ship and for good reason. My car is as good as new and I am looking forward to continuing my business with them. read more

I had my brakes worked on at this shop and thay informed me that I needed new front rotors, I didnt really have the money to get it done due to the unemployment from the coronavirus, I also had to deal with the tornado and no power for 8 days. After paying almost $500 I found out that they didnt even replaced the front rotors and charged me $190 for those parts. I cant believe they would do this to people knowing the hardship that customers are dealing with. I guess they didnt think I would notice it. I'm very disappointed with their service and I DONT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL. If they have people working for them doing these things they should he ashame and need to fire all that were involved with this scam. I will not stop until I get my full refund and a apology from the owner. I will he contacting my local news outlets and newspapers until I get Justice. Absolutely unreal. Drove my truckin for a tune up. over two days in the shop. Can't drive it out. The man in charge (Ron) wouldn"t charge me which is good but literally left my truck unable to drive! The mechanic who did the work (Tim) refused to take responsibility. Told me to "wait another day and talk to Ron", " did only what I was told", "not a magician", and " you can tow it out of here" ! WHAT? Tow my truck out after I drove it in? I lost three days work and am having to tow my truck even now which is why I have the time to do yelp, BBB and tripadvisor. There was no attempt to call me to let me know they were done after 15 minutes work in two days. There was no attempt to fix the situation. Ron may be a good guy but his hands may be tied with incompetent mechanics. But come on..1978 Chevy truck. How basic does it get? read more

I had some brakes replaced in October 2 rear rotors and all new brake pads for 452.00. I am back once again for 2 more rotors on the front something went wrong in October as the Mechanics are great at this facility. Another 163.00 (3 months later) with a total of $615.00 for brakes seems a little overpriced but I am grateful to have my car able to brake with my kids safely. read more

Perfect. I cannot think of another word to describe them. I went to a Dealership to get my car fixed and they were going to charge me over $1100. I took it to maxi and they not only had a way better price, but also told me that everything the dealership said was wrong and needed to be replaced was actually fine and found the real problem which was just belt loose. They are extremely affordable, they are fast while doing a solid job and they are so nice and personable. I will never go anywhere else to get my car fixed to oil changes! read more

VERY DISAPPOINTED in Maxi's . I've had my truck worked on in pass an never had a problem. My wife took our truck in recently for some gasket issue and we were told we needed a new motor. When we went to pick up we talked to the so called tech that looked at it and he had know idea what he was talking about. Paid way too much for a complete brake replacement. Less than 6 months later getting a bad vibration. Went back in for what should have been warranty work only to find out it wasn't covered. Turns out originally I paid for all new brakes and calipers (which probably didn't need replacing) and a butt load of labor charges, but they only trimmed the roters instead of replacing them. When you trim the roters - they wear out faster. So - guess what? Here we are 6 months later and I'm back in the shop needing all new roters. They charged me for those plus more insane labor.
