Tomato baked porkchop over fried rice
    Christine L.

Revisited for dinner for their $16 promo ALL DAY special deal comes with coffee or tea. A choice of shrimp pasta with creamy spinach sauce or tomato baked porkchop over fried rice. $5 to upgrade with soup and cake of the day for lunch. $12 to upgrade with appetizer (salad), soup and choice of cake for dinner. This deal ended in March 2026. Also ordered the 2 other items off from the regular dinner menu. That spread of curry sauce on the salad went exceptionally went with balsamic vinegar greens unexpectedly. Unique and rare combination of flavour in your mouth. Bravo to the chef's creativity! $33 Duck confit in red wine reduction sauce over pasta (special request not on menu). Duck confit was juicy and the red wine sauce was flavourful. Pasta was al dente and enjoyable. $49 Lobster & seafood pasta with lobster sauce with spaghettini. The lobster sauce was absolutely delicious. The sauce was slightly tangy with tomato flavour and you can taste the lobster in the sauce likely made with the shell. I could drink the sauce as soup lol. Seafood was fresh and I would order this again as a treat since it's a bit on the pricier side. Loved their cakes always and they made it pretty for pictures. Their cakes are the perfect sweetness level and great if you enjoy cakes that aren't too sweet. 5 stars on this visit.

3.5/5 I have heard of this Hong Kong-styled restaurant for a while and this was my first visit. They now have a promotion, for $16, you can order pork chop fried rice or seafood spaghetti, each comes with a hot drink and or cold drink with additional $2. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was all full on Friday night, most customers ordered the set meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was understaffed, difficult to get their attention & service was chaotic. The set meals were not bad. We ended our meal with the mango & almond meringue which was light, fluffy and yummy. They have a built-in 13% service charge, together with $8 for meringue, we paid $53 for the meal. I hope they could improve their service and I'll visit again.

Food was amazing, one of the best Prime Rib I have had in a long long time. Cakes are yummy Service was alright, super busy cause of the holiday season [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance, table are clean and roomy but we were too close to the entrance and it was cold[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The prime rib was a 4 dish course for $49, won't complain

Came their $29 (+tax & 13% tip) 50th anniversary promo set menu Great value, generous portion The braised beef rib could be more tender and did not fall off the bone.thw lobster and seafood pasta was ok The meringue cake was great, green tea mouase was average. Try to make a reservation or expect to wait in line starting from 4:30pm My timeline for example: 5:05pm Arrived 6pm sat at table and bread came 6:30pm entrees arrive Service was good considering how busy they were. They had a designated order-taker, table-cleaner, food-deliver etc. Overall this promo was a great deal, would probably return to try other menu items.

So having lived in Richmond Hill my whole life, this resto is definitely a 3 star spot. My family used to order mango dream cakes from this bakery every so often because they were quite good but expensive (it has been awhile though). The food is way overpriced and it is really a fusion cafe trying to be way more upscale than it really is. HOWEVER ... My fam and I came recently because the resto was celebrating its 50th anniversary with a daily special menu. We decided to visit on a friday because the friday special appealed to us the most (braised beef short rib w/ fettucine). [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lemme tell you, when we walked in I was shocked. I've NEVER seen this place so packed before.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Looks like all the other asians in the area heard about the 50th anniversary deal too LOL. Anyways, we had made a reservation so thankfully we got to sit right away (I saw some walk-in folks waiting for up to 40 mins). The 50th anni deal allowed each individual to get a soup, the entree and a dessert. I opted for russian borscht (which was surprisingly peppery enough). The braised beef short rib w/ fettucine was ACTUALLY pretty good! The beef was tear-apart, fork tender and the sauce was delicious. They also gave a pretty decent portion of meat. I DO wish they mixed the sauce with the noodles though. The veggies were also cooked on point which surprised me as well. For dessert we opted for their famous almond meringue and some orange chocolate truffle cake. Strictly speaking from a 50th anniversary deal perspective I would award 4 stars out of 5, as the meal was actually good value because the portions were large and the meal included dessert for each person as well. Without the deal in place, I don't think my fam would entertain coming back lol.

My mom's favorite cake is from this bakery chain and this location has not only they amazing cakes but surprisingly really good food! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The feel of this place is life a HK cafe that's slightly upscale.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service here on a busy night is certainly like HK, unapologetic chaos but you'll stay because of the value and quality. They didn't even serve us water because they said they were too busy! It was a 30 min wait for a table with a table promised to us by the hostess that was given away due to a reservation.. why even promise us? The pork chop was nicely brined and juicy. The lobster was white overcooked but the risotto was good. The cakes were all good and consistently so.

Long waiting A restaurant with cheap price, It tastes ok, The food here is more like a fast food restaurant, Not very high end, But I think it is fine to have a try, The receptionist here can speak 3 languages at least, No need to worry about language problem, And ... Not sure whether this restaurant has any relationship with the China HongKong Maxie's cake, Maxie's cake is very famous in China HongKong and China mainland,

This place is definitely a restaurant to add on your bucket first. [[HIGHLIGHT]]First off, gives off a fine dining experience with the nice ambient environment and the open space. The design and layout makes it easy and relaxing, perfect for a day to eat with your family.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Secondly, the service offered here is superb, with staff ensuring that you receive your food on time, but also open to providing recommendations. Lastly the food here is splendid, it's a mix of western styled cuisine but also mixed with asian tastes. My favourite is definitely the peach and roasted duck. Honestly, no other restaurant does it the same as this place. Did I also forget that this place offers set meals so you get complimentary drinks, soups (cream or tomato), main course, and a slice of cake for your choice all for just around $35. For those trying to impress for a date or those who'd like to bring their family out for dinner, this is the spot to go.

At first glance, the menu prices are considerably higher than at other restaurants. However, after taking into account that the dishes come with soup of the day, coffee or tea, and a slice of cake, it's not so bad. The menu is on a single page, and that's fine with me since it's so much harder to decide what to order when there are too many options. There were three servers when we went for a weekend lunch. One of the servers seemed to be in a perpetual rush, and we were barely given half a second to make decisions. The other two servers weren't as rushed and came by often to top up our water, clear dishes, etc. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait for service since there's two sides to the restaurant and the front doubles as a bakery, with customers coming in to order or pickup cakes. In terms of ambiance, the restaurant puts up holiday decorations; there's a large projector screen for CP24; but the seating towards the centre of the restaurant is dim. My bolognese was on the salty side, but otherwise, it was a decent portion. My dining companion enjoyed the duck-leg pasta. When it came time for dessert, we weren't given a choice of what flavour we got. Luckily, we got flavours that we iked. The mango meringue was delicious. The green tea cake slice was a bit dry, but the mousse was tasty.

Maxim has been in RH for many years. They are serving HK style western cuisine and also a bakery for cakes. Specifically liked their sesame cake and chestnut cakes. Package was cute and sturdy too. Ordering one day before, and service was very fast and smooth.

    Sophie T.

Nice place, more spacious than the finch location. Got a chestnut cake from here recently, but couldn't really say that it was all that great because we felt they might have forgotten to add sugar to the cream frosting. Overall would give them another shot hence the four stars. Also looks like they have some nice lunch menu options as well to try out.

Decided to come here for dinner. Haven't been here in many years. Ambience - 4/5. Went on a weekday so it wasn't that busy. It was dimly lit but we sat near the windows so there was still enough sunlight. Service - 3.5/5. They were attentive in the beginning but it was hit and miss when they had new customers coming in. The girl was more attentive than the boy Food - 3.75/5. The food took a bit to come out which was fine. Ours came out slightly earlier than another couple behind us so they weren't too happy. Overall, the food was decent. The salad was nice. There was a little bit of heat to the ceab cakes. The soups were flavourful. Soup of the day was cream of broccoli and borscht soup. The bread was a little bit on the harder side and not hot enough to melt the cold butter. All the meat except for lamb chops were overcooked. We ordered medium rare for the beef and it came out medium well to borderline well done. The dessert is great. We got the chestnut cake and chocolate orange cake. There's chestnut pieces in the cream layers. The chocolate orange cake was decadent. I suspect a bit of dark chocolate used as well as there was a degree of bitterness to it. Overall: 3.75/5. The food is expensive but if you want to go for a date night, it's not bad.

I ordered their salade de lyonnaise, lamb sirloin and chocolate torte. All were good. Though my friend couldn't have any alcohol and the lamb had a red wine sauce, instead they gave her some kind of reduction or au jus sauce with her lamb and it was absolutely delicious, way better than the actual sauce that came with our lamb and beef mains. We ended up using some of her sauce for our dishes too. I also tried the leek soup and pork terrine appetizers, which was also good though I especially liked the salad with the egg on top. The desserts are probably the highlight of my meal. I love the chocolate torte I had at the end and also tasted the apple tarte which was also great. I think for the Winterlicious menu, the quality of desserts are certainly better than other spots I've had. We also enjoyed the drinks, I had a lychee mocktail and my table had some wine and spanish coffee and decaf cappuccino which was also good. The staff was very attentive though my friend, while she told the staff she doesn't have a shrimp allergy she just didn't want shrimp in her soup. Somehow it was served with it but they did later corrected it, which is all good just a minor hiccup. Probably better to just have us eat it for her than bother with the changes.
