It feels much more spacious and creative than other DIY spots we've visited. We've since gone back for camps and casual weekend visits, and she always finds something new she wants to make. The custom comic book and stuffie stations are especially fun and unique. The staff has also been consistently kind, patient, and helpful every time we've been there. A farm was set up along the way up to a trail sign where's to divide into two directions. Left is hidden villa trail, right is bunny something trail. We went for the left. It was a narrow, sloped and uneven trail, right next to a creek. The scenary was tranquil. Be careful of midsized rocks and tree roots stuck out on ground for their ankle-spraining hazards, and the sharp-edged hanging branch on tree. (My son bumped his head, causing swelling, thank God no bleeding!) Some area shady some not, bring a sun hat. Wear long sleeved clothing as there're mysterious outgrown weed bushes that might irritate your skin. Parts of ground were covered by leaves, it was easy to walk on providing landing cushion and traction. There's an archery site next to parking lot. Already signed up for my next adventure.

I…read morethink the GPS led us to the residential area parking and there's no parking there for the public so my boyfriend left me there and I thought he meant that I should just go there myself and there is NO signal here so I had no idea where he was at for over an hour and he was so close to calling the city to report a lost child lol. We went in the mid morning and it's a fairly bright, well lit path there that's not too far or difficult and there were lots of other hikers and travelers so at no point did I feel like something bad was going to happen. The farm is also true to its name because I did get to see a momma deer and her baby right at the entrance of the farm near the barn picnic table area. Neat! It's a great place to see animals too since aside from the deer and farm animals I saw a quail and its chicks, as well as lots of ground squirrels. The chicken are in a coop and pen but some hop out and walk around the farm. Love to see the pigs, sheep, goats, cow, bunnies, ducks and geese too. Would love to one day see the farm cats. There's lots of informative signs and flyers throughout the farm of all reading levels and how much information are on them, and there's small interactive parts too and you learn about the work that goes into working on a farm and what these animals provide for people. The docents and volunteers are also very helpful and are happy to answer questions. Lots of benches and seats in the shade too so you can sit back and take in the scenery and the animals hanging out. You can see the little gardens that they have there and I guess on some days some of the other buildings are open too. I don't mind coming back, but this time, I won't make that same entrance mistake again.

You have to make a reservation I'm guessing so it doesn't get overpacked. As soon as you enter, there's a ton of indoor activities for the little. There's a dino area right outside and then on the other side is where the zoo part is. There's not a ton of animals but the animals that are there were pretty active when we were there. There was a tortoise, birds, rabbits, fish, flamingos that we actually got to feed and a few others that I'm forgetting. Again, not huge but it was enough that we probably spent about a good 2 hours there. After that, there's also a park right behind it so if your kiddos aren't tired already, they can burn off some energy there. If we lived closer, I would consider getting a pass but for now, we'll do some day trips there

Plan to visit for an estimated 1.5 - 2 hours, as this should be plenty of time to explore everything. There are both indoor and outdoor experiences, including interactive activities for little ones, an outdoor zoo, complimentary flamingo feeding sessions, and a treehouse-style playground. Animals available included meerkats, flamingos, raccoons, fish, a tortoise, and macaws. Location / Parking The museum is right next to Rinconada Park and there's a dedicated parking lot. It can fill up quickly during popular reservation times and street parking is also available nearby. Customer Service The front desk staff scans admission tickets upon arrival and provides a stamp for in-and-out privileges, which is helpful if you plan to visit the neighboring Rinconada Park.

The only downside is that when the weather gets extremely hot, it can be difficult to enjoy the areas that aren't shaded.
