Everything is decorated beautifully - it feels more like you're downtown than if you were in Evergreen Park. The food is absolutely amazing - I love their shrimp tapas. From the empanada to the tacos, I haven't eaten anything yet that wasn't worth going back for. The service is outstanding, and Ramon may be nicest human being I've ever met in the industry. Perfect for a date night or a group outing, I couldn't recommend Mi Amor enough.

Service 5 Stars So…read morelet me start by applauding the manager for outstanding customer service--1) The willingness to override a hostess who refused a request for three adult couples who in advance requested separate checks (clearly professionals not the types that haggle about tips--smh) , and 2) sending the magician Michael to our table after we ate for a demonstration of his tremendous talents. Kudos Ramon! I also acknowledge the tremendous service from our main waiter Jose. Atmosphere 5 Stars So we sat on the patio which was enclosed and heated with an outdoor propane heat lamp. IT WAS A PERFECT SETTING for our annual couples dinner. The music was not as loud as in the main dining room and it was more illuminated--exactly the atmosphere desired for conversation with friends while breaking bread. Food = PERFECTION! We started with three delicious appetizers - 1) Patatas Bravas: Spicy potato bites with creamy guajillo aioli. The potatoes were a 3 out of 10 on the heat meter, but the aioli had kick! 2) Guacamole: Onion, serrano, cilantro, lime juice, minced garlic - Topped with Pico De Gallo - Served with homemade chips. 3) Salsa Trio: Creamy Salsa Verde, Molcajete Salsa Roja, Pico de Gallo served with Homemade chips. One friend ordered the Baja Tacos - Creamy Coleslaw, Beer battered White fish, Chipotle Aioli with a side of Buttered White Rice. His plate was empty in no time and he expressed his pleasure with the dish. Two in our dinner party had the Salmon Al Carbon - 12Hour Marinated spice rub 8oz Salmon fillet al Carbon with a side of Buttered White Rice with the skin removed and crisped on the side. My wife who I expected would only eat a few bites actually consumed almost the entire piece of salmon, and my dear friend ate her entire dish! Another ordered the "Camarones A La Diabla" - 6 Jumbo Shrimp sauteed with minced garlic and Diablo Sauce served with a side of Buttered White Rice. Another empty plate. (There is a theme developing here). Finally, I had the "Chuletas De Cordero" - Lamb Chops Marinated With Herbs & Spices. Served Over Creamy Mashed Potato Puree, Alongside a delicious Chimichurri & Rich savory Gravy. I ate everything on that plate!!!! The chef was accommodating and added spinach to the plate. My friend's wife ordered a "Special" -- A Seafood Medley Pasta in a Marinara Sauce Shrimp, Calamari & Mussels if a rich pasta sauce with toasted baguettes prepared perfectly to order--I'm certain because my friend has a crustacean allergy so she ordered the dish without the shrimp and it was obvious when she didn't have an allergic reaction that the dish was freshly prepared and they didn't simply remove the shrimp. It also must have been delicious because the bowl was empty! She also ordered a side of Mexican Street Corn (Corn, butter, mayo, cotija chees, & chile powder). Yes there was room for desserts, so I ordered the Dessert Sampler for us to share - Tres Leches, a Delicate Layers Of Mexican Coffee Soaked Galletas Marias & Creamy Mascarpone; Tiramisu composed of Delicate Layers Of Mexican Coffee Soaked Galletas Marias & Creamy Mascarpone, and ordinarily a Creme Brûlée but they were out and substituted Churros-Freshly Fried, Rolled In Cinnamon Sugar Served With Dulce De Leche for the unavailable Creme Brûlée which was disappointing). My buddy l's wife had the Dessert Special -- Banana Bread Putting with caramel drizzle and vanilla bean ice cream. I had to taste all four desserts but couldn't pick a favorite because they were all EXCELLENT! 5 STAR EXPERIENCE IN THIS HIDDEN GEM!!!!

I have ordered pickup from here over twenty plus times and have not been dissatisfied in any way. The staff is professional and friendly. I have never experienced and issue with my order being correct or even delayed. This restaurant's operations are consistent and excellent regardless or crown. Fox's offers several topping options for their pizzas. All ingredients that I have tried have been delicious and fresh!! Pricing here is very reasonable compared to other local pizza specialty stores. They have. Full dinning room with FULL service. When time permits I definitely will dine in. The dinning room has the usual pub vibe. Several booths fill the space and it looks like a good time. I haven't ventured far enough into the dinner area to confirm if adult beverages are offered or not but I'm sure that's included on their website. Speaking of website they DO offer online ordering as well as the traditional call in orders. Both cash and card are accepted. Parking can be difficult due to the location of the restaurant but there is always a free spot somewhere.... Just look. This is definitely a star of the south side when it comes to pizza!!!

The food is one of thee best in Chicago hands down. You will have to wait but it's BYOB so enjoy a cocktail as you nibble on those pillow soft delicious rolls they start you off with. I appreciate having a sit down establishment in the area with nice lighting, relaxing music and great customer service. Gives you living room feels. The food is seasoned to the God's and you can taste the care that went into both dishes. I had the salmon and shrimp with cream buttered sauce. It was perfect. Cooked perfectly, not dry, moist and full of flavor. My friend had the lamb chops that were slightly overcooked on the first attempt but flavorful, the second plate was on point with just the right hint of pink and juicy. The garlic mashed potatoes were full of flavor and whipped by hand. The asparagus and spinach were delicious. My only issue was that they had to remake her lamb chops but it was misunderstanding and it was quickly resolved. It was a great treat on hump day and I will be adding this into my monthly rotation. I appreciate gems like this in the neighborhood.

The pizza was excellent -- that classic Chicago thin crust, crispy from edge to edge, loaded with flavor, and cut into squares exactly the way it should be. We didn't stop there! We also sampled the fried sausage ravioli, garlic bread, and tomato bread. If you appreciate old-school Chicago pizza joints, Vito & Nick's is definitely worth the trip. #MarksBiteReviews #VitoAndNicks #ChicagoPizza #TavernStylePizza

It's not overpowering, but the odor is in the atmosphere along with the smell of the pizza oven - a combination of a musty old carpet, damp old rags, a urinal, and bread baking. The service was attentive and the server was nice enough. Now for the iconic pizza. We had a large half sausage and half Italian beef with mild giardiniera. We enjoyed the sausage half more than the beef half. Overall the pizza was good, but it's not something I'd drive 40+ minutes each to have again. If V&N's was located in my neighborhood, they'd would probably join my pizza rotation. I enjoyed their crispy crust, but didn't love their sauce. The sausage was good. The beef was good but the giardiniera was just okay. We also had the combo appetizer which was also pretty good. V&N's is a legendary Chicago pizza spot, so we had to check it out. While certainly good, it disappointed because it was not great.
