I finally made it to Smoke's Bistro to sit down and enjoy instead of getting take-out lamb pizza…read more Ms. Linda was our server who showed care and was an absolutely wonderful spirit. The food is one of thee best in Chicago hands down. You will have to wait but it's BYOB so enjoy a cocktail as you nibble on those pillow soft delicious rolls they start you off with. I appreciate having a sit down establishment in the area with nice lighting, relaxing music and great customer service. Gives you living room feels. The food is seasoned to the God's and you can taste the care that went into both dishes. I had the salmon and shrimp with cream buttered sauce. It was perfect. Cooked perfectly, not dry, moist and full of flavor. My friend had the lamb chops that were slightly overcooked on the first attempt but flavorful, the second plate was on point with just the right hint of pink and juicy. The garlic mashed potatoes were full of flavor and whipped by hand. The asparagus and spinach were delicious. My only issue was that they had to remake her lamb chops but it was misunderstanding and it was quickly resolved. It was a great treat on hump day and I will be adding this into my monthly rotation. I appreciate gems like this in the neighborhood.

I visited the South Side with family and wanted to try out Vito and Nick's for years. I finally got…read morethe opportunity to go a few weeks ago. I absolutely love their tavern style pizza! The cracker thin crust complements the thin layer of cheese and toppings. They've been doing this for decades so they have their pizza and entrees down packed. This is definitely a neighborhood joint with an extremely popular rep with locals and tourists. I enjoyed taking in the old school vibe and looking at family photos lining the walls from decades past. One thing especially stood out regarding décor and that was the carpet lining the walls! Street parking is the only thing available. They are cash only and they have no ATM. Come prepared.

3 stars is ok in Yelp land, and that is the most Vito & Nick's Pizzeria deserves. Arrived 4:40 pm…read moreMonday afternoon. Reasonably pleasant waitress gave us estimate of 30 minutes for a large pizza. Right on the button, though it's not clear to me why it should take so long to bake a very thin crust pie when there are 20+ people in the dining room. The pizza was mediocre at best. If you like cracker-style crust, that helps. However, the sauce had little flavor to it and modest amount of cheese. Dining room tables are very close together; we could move around them ok, but when the joint is rockin' and full, it's very tight. We had to try the pizza but the sandwiches and some dinners are very reasonably priced. Extremely small bathrooms. V&N might be a legend and it's great to exist after more than 100 years, but there's no reason for me to return. Decent size parking lot on south side of restaurant.

I ate a piece and they were right I called them and they did not want to honor or give me the difference in price refunded , instead they wanted to give us a different smaller order to me that is saying you're guilty. Save your money. Do not waste your money here. They are going the cheaper route to get a profit now.

Walking in the place reaks of rotten fish which is a major red flag, especially on a freaking Tuesday (fresh fish for the week should've been delivered Sunday or Monday like with most restaurants.) They didn't have bass so I got some jack salmon. The salmon reaked of rotten fish as well. The taste was off too and my stomach turned within 10 minutes after eating. Definitely serving spoiled fish to people which is what other reviewers have complained about. No bread either. The breading on the fish is hardly seasoned. No surprise when you look up their health scores they failed inspection in the past for unclean facilities and not even having proper plumbing as latest as November 2024. They've somehow either outright failed or barely passed as long as certain conditions were to be met 13 out of 27 times over the years which is crazy. Stay away!

When we went in there isn't anywhere to really sit and when you walk in you wouldn't think greatness come from there but boy was I wrong. We ordered and we were told it would be about 20-30mins. So while we waited to went to a few other stores. The gentleman at the counter was very nice and friendly I was confused on what flavor I should get and I asked could I do 3 flavors and he told me what ever I want. I ordered the 1lb crab and 1/2 lb shrimp with Lemon Pepper, Old Bay and Cajun. When we received the food we checked it and it smelled so good and I didn't know it came with Corn, Potatoes and Broccoli. Once I made it home my food was warm at no fault to them just I had a few errands to run before making it home. Even being warm it was still amazing. My favorite part was the Broccoli. I could have a whole pan of that alone. But EVERYTHING was amazing. Price Point was average for Seafood and you already I want to try something new or different the next time I go because I will be back.
