I'm usually never in this area, but the first time I came was for a friend's celebration. The food was good. I didn't try any of the beer. The place was well kept and the people were cool. The second time I visited, I sat at the bar and had the Brussels sprouts. They were amazing. I loved our drinks as well. The bartender was super nice and gave great suggestions. Stopped in after a round of golf and was starving. The inside was huge with plenty of seating and TVs. Our server was great and always checked in on us. I ordered the butter burger and Chidori super dry beer. The beer was very good. It was the lightest of them all. Now the butter burger was a hit. Patties were smashed to perfection and the buns were buttery with bone marrow! Can't forget the housemade pickles along with the confit garlic mayo. Great experience time and time again! The rooftop is open, and it's easily one of my favorite spots for the summer. We had to move away from a group of incredibly obnoxious, entitled customers with obvious ties to educational employment, that were treating the staff horribly. Just a quick update to my review of Open Outcry from 2022. We've enjoyed Open Outcry several times in the past couple of years, and have always made a point to pop in on the rarer occasion we're this far down the south side. It's always a reliable stop for a decent beer and some good brewery food. That remains the case, even if the highs aren't quite as high as I once perceived them to be. It's still a diverse menu with options you don't see everywhere, like a house made beet/black bean veggie burger or a chicken sandwich with pesto on ciabatta. I will say that while I was excited for that chicken sandwich, this last visit it was subpar. Seasoned well, yes; but the chicken was dry and the ciabatta was stale. I ended up not eating most of the bread, which was unfortunate. The prices have creeped up, as they have everywhere, but don't necessarily reflect prices of the area. Sandwiches start at $18, and desserts are somehow $14?! The beer remains average-to-good in a very crowded craft beer field here in Chicago, but the list has been almost exactly the same the past few visits, which was not always the case. Lastly, while I absolutely love (and was thrilled to finally get to enjoy) the rooftop, the very young waitstaff was, shall we say, less than thrilled to be working. Maybe it was a long day, maybe they'd dealt with one too many drunken fools (there was one lady complaining about an extra $3 on her bill only to later pretend she didn't care), but these guys were so disinterested and unenthusiastic that it definitely was a bit of a distraction. But, that can happen, we've all been there. Overall, this is still a good spot for a weekend hang, and I really wish more places on the north side would be more inventive with their menus (real, homemade veggie burgers please!!) and look into rooftop options! I have to get better at posting my reviews sooner. I hung out here last summer with a friend. It's a very casual hidden gem nestled right in the Beverly neighborhood. Great pizzas and a variety of frozen/summer cocktails The service is pretty neutral. The few times I've been, it wasn't bad, but also not superb. I guess just kind of what you expect, normal customer service I love being able to access a rooftop without having to go downtown. The cute little swings on the main level are also pretty neat. Cool brewery with a great selection of beers. The vibe is casual and there is a table surrounded by swings. Nice bar area. There's a rooftop which I want to check out when it's warmer. Visited for lunch. Server was friendly, patient and accommodating (even when we switched tables). Menu has something for everyone including vegetarian options but the menu items are very different on the Yelp menu. DO NOT sit on the rooftop. No space warmers even though it was chilly and windy. Food arrived cold and late despite friendly staff, and even then, the primary tastes were salt and sugar with generic spicy pepper sauce. Drinks were good! But food was subpar. read more

I came across this place, because I was looking for a brewery that sold beer flights. So I decided to try them out. They also have a nice selection of craft beers to choose from. Their customer service was great, along with a few tv's close to the bar area for entertainment. The waitress I had was nice, very helpful and patient. From the appetizers I tried the fried garlic breaded cheese curds, with marinara sauce. I'm my opinion the cheese curds and beer are a great combo, I had to go for a 2nd round of the cheese curds. I also tried "The Burger", it only comes with caramelized onions, merkt's cheddar, and dill pickles on a brioche bun. I had mine made medium well with a side a fries that comes with it. The burger was a big size patty that will fill you up. I will be back to try other items from the food & beer menu. I suggest others to check them out as well. read more

If you're going for their Sunday brunch and you order the avocado toast, don't expect it to be even close to what you get at Dunkin or any other breakfast restaurant. It was more like spinach toast. It had 4 very slim slices of avocado on the toast and was topped off with at least 20 pieces of fresh spinach. I had to stop by Dunkin after we left so I could satisfy the taste I had in anticipation of REAL avocado toast. read more

Have you ever felt like you were a bother being at a place you're spending money at? Well that's the vibe here. I like the rooftop and the over all ambiance of the place minus the menu set up. We were a family of 7 and they refused to sell pitchers of beer (at the brewery) because they were having an event next week. We ordered the equivalent of a pitcher and would have ordered a second had they not made us buy each glass individually. The space was nice but I didn't like the rules and the food was meh. Beer gardens and breweries in the south have spoiled me so I'm not used to the rigid rules that this establishment had in place. read more

I had a burger that was excellent. Cooked perfectly and taste very good. Server was very friendly and able to offer good beer recommendations since it was my first time here. The ambiance was nice as the patio offered a good outdoor seating area on the roof with a nice space. The music was pretty good also. The downstairs offered a seating area that was nice with large brewing stations to see. Bright colors and can be kid friendly. I would go back I believe the mosaically-yours ipa , delerio ipa, and the ideative-dom ipa beers were my preferred choices. Worked out well since I enjoy IPAs. The speculator cream ale...I literally felt like I could taste the corn flavor in it. Very interesting flavor. I think this place has great food, but there is some improvement that could be had. Will I come again yes, will I recommend yes. The prosciutto pizza, the prosciutto, reminded me a little bit more of bacon then the typical thin ham slice. I would have also preferred if the toppings were speed out to the end more. The muscles and linguine was very good. They did not have enough pasta, they needed so much more. The taste was very good if they had more sauce on the muscles I think that would have been great too, but the portion size of noodles was not good, it was too small. My girlfriend and I do lunch once a week and it has been a real chore finding restaurants that are still open. I have to admit that this place is a hidden gem. I loved everything about this restaurant; the ambiance, the service and the food. Not to mention we were sitting in a dome! How cool is that! We started with the poutine; very delicious roast beef and gravy over crispy fries and white cheddar cheese curds. Then came the ribs; very flavorful, fall off the bone tender with a lip smacking sauce. Although our belly's are getting full, we wrapped it up with the pizza. The pizza is fire roasted with pepperoni and red pepper flakes topped with a sweet drizzle of honey. Roll me out the door please. Our bar tender was nice enough to unlock the gate so that we could peek at the rooftop. What a treat it was, and what a view. This restaurant has built 4 custom themed cabins that you can rent out for up to 10 guests. The price of 170$ includes your drinks; you can have all beer or beer and wine. I absolutely love this brewery. Every time I've come in here, the beers on tap have been exciting and new. The staff is very friendly and the food is fantastic and consistent. The wood fire pizza is the best around. I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 because the only downside that they have is when a customer has been there for a couple hours and clearly spending some good money on food and ale, a pint "on the house" would be a nice gesture. I could also just be spoiled from my adventures at other great breweries that do that practice. Just a suggestion, hospitality goes a long way. A friend and I stopped in for a late lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. Plenty of seating options ranging from a traditional table, table with swings instead of chairs, some oversized chairs/loveseats in a low-lit back corner for a more intimate setting, and a large outside rooftop patio. We sat in tall stools at the bar. The bartender was friendly and attentive and was quick to offer her recommendations when we asked. My only complaint was that there was a bit of an old, wet basement smell in the whole space and visible condensation dripping from the pipes overhead. To be fair though, it was an extremely hot day. We shared a prosciutto arugula pizza and were initially skeptical about the lemon drizzle, but it was absolutely delicious. The crust was amazing and I can't even tell you why, but it was. I'd bet the rest of their pizzas are awesome too. We also had a Nelsome (neipa w/Nelson Sauvin hops) which was super hoppy and hazy and we loved it. We also had a Delirio (neipa w/citra and mosaic) which was also good but heavy on the mosaic and had a bit of a stinky feet taste. If you like mosaic though, this might be your jam. Overall good experience and we bought a couple 4 packs to bring home. read more

I attended a Saturday afternoon roof top private party and what a great venue. Plenty of seating, umbrellas, tables with a rooftop a bar. It appeared that a staff member for the party was with us the entire time & very attentive. Outdoor stair entrance to the roof so not sure if there was a handicapped entrance. Other than the 90 degree temperature it was a really nice event. Good luck to the new owners. Wish you well read more
