On a seafood whim, headed home from airport, and came across this little gem online! We almost second guessed ourselves when we arrived as the location has "hole in the wall" kinda vibe and the interior is clearly Latin origin which had us thinking "Mexican food with a few seafood items" but we were pleasantly surprised when we opened the menu! My son's fried shrimp and fish platter was clearly fresh (not frozen) and the mariscada was Amazing! So full of seafood - almost a whole crab, several shrimp, mussels, fish and calamari! The rice served with both our meals was delicious! Service was prompt and attentive - drinks filled and checked on us often enough without being annoying. If I could leave no stars I would but I guess I could leave 1 star since my kids food was decent. My family and I came in from out of town and my husband was wanting some seafood so we ended up here based off reviews from a different app and we ended up regretting every bit of it. We walked in and were seated almost immediately which I give them that but our waitress seemed like she was inconvenienced when asked to refill my sons water which was empty for a while, he literally had already finished his food by the time she even came around and it wasn't even to check on us it was after I finally saw her after being gone for a while. I got the shrimp tacos and it wasn't anything to brag about, they weren't even seasoned. My husband got the grilled salmon and it wasn't good, it was grilled so much that it looked dry and pathetic. Definitely not worth ever coming back! I would recommend finding another place to eat at. read more

I found out about maxis seafood when a relative told me about it, and I've past this place thousands of times going north and south on hwy 59 but not anymore I will pass up if I'm in the mood for seafood. This probably my favorite seafood place to eat at. They have very good lunch specials till 4pm. And have gone a few times for lunch and the portion size is really good and filling. On thenDinner portion is big and you can eat for two on one plate but the prices for the dinner menu is price well enough for everyone at the table to get their own meal. Some of my favorite menu items are the seafood soup which is really good portion of fish, shrimp, crab with vegetables and it's a bit spicy but everything blends well. I also like the fried shrimp and garlic shrimp and the shrimp are large so that's a plus. I've also tried the octopus and they cook it to perfection very delicious... besides the seafood you have to have their fried rice is to die for there is something about the rice that is you can't stop eating it and you keep wanting to go back for more, the rice is like a Peruvian style type of fried it's a must try. Very nice waitresses and sometimes they have live music being played and I believe they have karaoke on some nights. Maxis is my seafood spot at moment check them out! read more

AVOID THIS PLACE. My family and I have been coming here since this place opened. We haven't been to restaurants since COVID, but do order takeout from time to time. We were initially disappointed when we called in to place an order, and couldn't get through to anyone. Still, we decided to make the drive and order to-go. However, that was a HUGE mistake. I ordered 2 LBS of crawfish, and received only half of my order. The crawfish was terrible, tasted old and was unacceptable they threw in raw corn/potatoes to up the weight of the order. No way to call in and speak to anyone as their phone line does not work. Terrible service, and we will never be back. I can't stand a restaurant that thinks it's OK to steal from their customers. I have driven past by this establishment multiple times and today I wanted to give it a try. Ordered "Beef Lomein " And it Rung up as Beef pasta with Sparagus And I asked is this the same lomein? Lady at the front who took my order confirmed. The lunch menus said $7.99 11am-3pm It's 1:04 and it was a total of $14.02 The total wasn't the bad part. The plate it's self is a complete disappointment To-Go wait time was 10 min totally good for a walk in but my lunch was horrible it has about 10 pieces of weird meat and 10lbs of pasta. So they don't serve green sauce when he's not there. This is Inconsistent, teach your waiters and cooks how to prepare it properly. That's no excuse for a Latin seafood grill. People go to eat seafood with Latin flavor. You've got to Learn to Have your cocktail sauce and salsa verde on point and present if you going to be a Latin seafood restaurant. Had lunch with my husband here yesterday for Father's Day. The food is really good and the ambiance is clean and comfortable but unfortunately the service we had by the bartender was simply unacceptable..she seemed bothered by our presence like if we had done something to annoy her.. she wasn't checking on us even though we sat at the bar to eat our food. We asked for water & tarter sauce she brought us napkins even tho I was speaking Spanish. We asked for to go boxes she brought us one to go box. We asked for the tab she turned around and left and didn't come back we had to ask the other bartender or bar back to give us our check. Ultimately we walked to the hostess and asked her for a bag to place our plates in and she looked bothered as well but she did provide what was needed I'm not sure if it's because they hate their job or what's the problem.. I've never been there and I don't plan on returning for awhile til maybe they change staff.. the next time i want mariscos I'll just order to go.. Even though that was a bad experience I will give it a 3 stars because the food is EXCELLENT.!!!! read more

Went here after a coworker told us how good the shrimp is- so I ordered the fried fish, shrimp, oyster plate with fries and fried rice. All the fried food was overlooked. Oysters very small and mostly breading, which is a thick breading... shrimp seemed to be smashed inside thick breading to make them appear larger. CAN YOU BELIEVE THEY DIDNT WANT TO TAKE OFF THE CHARGE!!! Because we found a bug in them. THEY SAID WELL WE WILL CHARGE FOR THE THREE YOU ATE... Are you kidding me. We was disgusted. Packed up the 2 dinners, paid and left. No manager was on site and the lady at the register said the cook told her she couldn't take off the charge. We will not be back. This seafood place is amazing and I love going there with my family whenever we get the chance. The service can be slow when packed but the prices are great and affordable. The food is also amazing and the menu is clean and easy to read. The owners are so nice too! They once let me and my brother go see the kitchen! I would recommend "pasta marinera". Its an amazing plate with pasta, and it has crab, shrimp, oyster, octopus and veggies! It's a little spicy but AMAZING. Also did I mention it was affordable ?
