Service is excellent. Food is a little too much. Will definitely walk with leftovers. For it to be a Saturday no waiting and service is quick. Nice and relaxing place to eat.

I found out about maxis seafood when a relative told me about it, and I've past this place thousands of times going north and south on hwy 59 but not anymore I will pass up if I'm in the mood for seafood. This probably my favorite seafood place to eat at. They have very good lunch specials till 4pm. And have gone a few times for lunch and the portion size is really good and filling. On thenDinner portion is big and you can eat for two on one plate but the prices for the dinner menu is price well enough for everyone at the table to get their own meal. Some of my favorite menu items are the seafood soup which is really good portion of fish, shrimp, crab with vegetables and it's a bit spicy but everything blends well. I also like the fried shrimp and garlic shrimp and the shrimp are large so that's a plus. I've also tried the octopus and they cook it to perfection very delicious... besides the seafood you have to have their fried rice is to die for there is something about the rice that is you can't stop eating it and you keep wanting to go back for more, the rice is like a Peruvian style type of fried it's a must try. Very nice waitresses and sometimes they have live music being played and I believe they have karaoke on some nights. Maxis is my seafood spot at moment check them out!

Bfs parents took me out to this place. The place was packed for good reason. There was a bit of a line but it shortened very quickly. I appreciated the authenticity of the culture and food.

AVOID THIS PLACE. My family and I have been coming here since this place opened. We haven't been to restaurants since COVID, but do order takeout from time to time. We were initially disappointed when we called in to place an order, and couldn't get through to anyone. Still, we decided to make the drive and order to-go. However, that was a HUGE mistake. I ordered 2 LBS of crawfish, and received only half of my order. The crawfish was terrible, tasted old and was unacceptable they threw in raw corn/potatoes to up the weight of the order. No way to call in and speak to anyone as their phone line does not work. Terrible service, and we will never be back. I can't stand a restaurant that thinks it's OK to steal from their customers. Do better Maxis.

I have driven past by this establishment multiple times and today I wanted to give it a try. Ordered "Beef Lomein " And it Rung up as Beef pasta with Sparagus And I asked is this the same lomein? Lady at the front who took my order confirmed. The lunch menus said $7.99 11am-3pm It's 1:04 and it was a total of $14.02 The total wasn't the bad part. The plate it's self is a complete disappointment To-Go wait time was 10 min totally good for a walk in but my lunch was horrible it has about 10 pieces of weird meat and 10lbs of pasta. And it came with squished garlic bread ... would not recommend.

They have good Seafood but they play the music too loud you cannot carry a conversation and they need to higher English-speaking waitresses.

Steak night advertisement is why I came on a Wednesday from it's Instagram page. From the entrance there's nothing like this place. Outside inside, wood built bar, 2 stories, gravel rocks parking and grass entrance. Has the feel of a local crawfish spot but good hole in the wall joint, with good food good prices drinks and vibes. Everyone here either greeted with a smile or greeted with a hi. That's right, leave your worries home, and any bitterness you have on your chest, cause this isn't the place for it. No kiddos here or young folks either. Closes 2am every night. Seems like a more club on the weekend, I can only imagine with alot of open flooring space and a DJ nightly. Grown Grown here. This place... I should of been coming a long time ago. This place is Underrated. Forget your chain bars these days, this is where it's at. Bathrooms, and tables and service everywhere. Behind a Shipley's donut along side the feeder road. You'll miss this place if you blink. Sat up top for the views, FIRST TIME. Fans are near seating so you're not hot. Food is ordered downstairs but they bring it to you wherever. But drinks can be ordered any area in here. MULTIPLE BARS INSIDE A BAR. Steak was tender. But wanted Medium well, it was more like Medium, but turned out better than I normally thought. Seasoned, butter and savory hands down, and potatoes was well done, and fully loaded. Drinks were stiff here as well. I can only imagine a Fri-Sun night... more crowded, probably standing at times for a seat. Parking lot is first come first serve, very limited. And of course parking near Shipley Donuts when they're closed, in case full, just another secondary. I would really recommend this place if you like enjoying outdoor eating and music with a crowd. This is a real bar, no questions. Must try on your bucket list.

Jam Session is sold out every other time I'm here, which is understandable as it's the most delicious beer I've ever had (sweet though so heads up if you're not into that, although you're missing out). Today, I had the Butter Beer. Yes, Butter Beer. It tastes like beer with butterscotch, and it's exactly what I imagine the stuff at Hogwarts tastes like. Dalton recommended it with salt, and I gave him a look but tried it both ways - turns out he was correct. Do try it with salt. Speaking of salt, don't sleep on the food either. Their mac and cheese is delicious, and I haven't tried other stuff but the chicken looks crispy and yum, too. The open air design makes it hot at first, but after the sun down and the moonrise, the breeze comes through - and that's what a balmy summer night's about, right? My 1st thought was "what in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre trailer park trash shit is this place?". I like adventures so I went in anyway and I am glad I did! City Acre had about 15 different beers on tap and I got my usual flight. I got a west coast IPA. a strawberry chocolate sour, a Belgian, and a porter. Flannel weather was the porter, and it tasted like a thin mint Girl Scout Cookie. Delicious. Everything was great. The strawberry chocolate sour was a tasty treat and I usually hate sours. The beertender was super friendly and she gave great suggestions. They have a kitchen onsite that looked good, but I had already eaten. Maybe next time. My bad on prejudging but cut the damn grass
