Been around the "car scene" for most of my life. I think that most of us don't expect for every part or service we procure to go perfectly. We do, however, expect for the vendors we work with to stand by their products/services when something goes awry and assume accountability for product defects. i found Maxspeed Motorsports when I was looking for replacement center caps and emblems for my 991 Turbo. I originally ordered a set of black caps with silver logos over a weekend but changed my mind about powder coating my wheels. The Monday following my weekend order, I called who I assume is the owder/manager Maxspeed and asked to change my order to chrome/black units (was trying to get rid of the gold crest) He gracefully agreed to the product swap. I paid for overnight shipping and the caps arrived the next day along with some replacement emblems. All the center caps looked decent. Not sure the chrome matched the polished turbo wheels as well as I had hoped but I accepted the minor variation and proceeded to install the caps. Three of the four caps installed as expected, without incident. One cap cracked once it snapped in. From the appearance of the crack, it appears that the crack may be attributed to a stress riser starting at the tip of the Porsche crest and propagating to the edge of the cap. see picture. I texted the owner/manager (he uses text to communicate) and told him about the issue. Asked if he could send a replacement (a ~$19 cap). Rather than considering that it's possible to have a cracked cap, His first response was "ok so how do you crack a wheel cap" There was never a "I'm sorry for your inconvenience" but rather an immediate need to engage in an accusative tone and question the legitimacy of a seemingly innocuous claim for a defect on a low priced/low cost accessory. I told him I didn't want to argue over a $20 part and didn't appreciate being second guessed. I explained that his customers drive $170k cars and aren't likely to be defrauding him over $20. I also told him that failure to warranty would result in a review here. that evening I sent him pictures. This was his response: "Good morning , First I will explain something to you . I despite customers that threaten me with stupidities , and you don't need to tell me what your car is worth . I'm not sure but your dealing with a real person here not a piece of **** . I hope I make myself clear . PayPal this, rennlist that .. is that necessary ? Do you thing that will resolve your issue ? Now all you had to do is answer my questions I initially asked you . ". If is my opinion that this guy is hell bent on being right. It appears to me that his ego is greater than his need to remedy a minor defect. I'll start a PayPal claim over $19 to make a point. I've also issued a review to make a point. Had he put down the ego and assumed any semblance of personal accountability for a minor defect, I wouldn't be writing a review over a $20 part. moral of the story. I won't buy from a business who makes these kinds of aftermarket refurb or reproduction parts (If these are new mfg (not sure) I wonder if Porsche even authorized the use of their logo). Rather I'll just pay the higher price at Suncoast and buy OEM.

I was looking for a Porsche mechanic since my extended warranty ran out. My wife's supervisor recommended MaxSpeed for their excellent service. When I called to make an appointment the owner Nello was very nice and pleasant on the phone. I took my Porsche Cayman S to check some engine error messages I was having. Nello the owner checked the car and explained in detail all the issues and gave me several options to fix it. This guy is very honest, and it's not out to scam you. I am extremely happy with the service, and will definitely keep coming back to him for all my Porsche needs. If you're looking for a straight forward no BS kind of service give Nello from MaxSpeed a call and like most other reviewers here you will not be disappointed.
