Dr. Taheri has been my primary dentist for a few years now and I'm always happy with the work done. He's super calm and relaxed in his approach and it definitely rubs off on you as the patient. My last few visits have been for corrective procedures. I got some composite veneers and removed my silver fillings and I'm so happy with how they turned out. The price is reasonable and they work with you. Most importantly they're transparent about the bill you should be expecting to pay for your dental work. They took a 3d scan of my teeth to make a night guard for me. it is the first night guard I have had, that didn't hurt to wear. They worked with me on the price too. Having seen it done elsewhere, I asked if they made 3d prints on crowns. May Dental does. I was very impressed with the quality of the work, the friendliness of the staff, and their use of "new" technology to improve the quality of the dental exam and overall experience. I really wish I could find a dental office in LA that wasn't just out to rip you I'm off, but alas... the search continues. I came here after reading decent reviews and a bad experience elsewhere. The dentist insisted on a treatment that he said wasn't covered by insurance. I agreed to it and pi's $400 out of pocket. When I got home, i learned that this treatment actually was covered by insurance if it's submitted with a prescription. I called the office with this info and the receptionist asked me to send over the info, which I did promptly. Two weeks later, I called back to follow up. She said the dentist was busy and hadn't had a chance to look over the info. Another two weeks passed, I called again - same story, except she said a few other patients had mentioned the same thing and so they'd look into it. Fast forward to six months later and probably 8 more calls - they're "still looking into it." I know they're riding out the reimbursement clock and have no plans to follow through, so I cancelled future appointments and will be looking elsewhere for care. I'm not tuned into insurance enough to understand why, but this dentist prefers PPO over HMO and mentioned it over and over again as he was suggesting a number of not covered treatments and dental devices. He even declined to honor the Yelp check in for a free whitening because it's for "patients with PPO only." It does not specify that in the offer. I can only surmise that he gets paid more with PPO. It's a shame that all these dental offices just want a cash grab. I get it, they have to make money, but it leaves patients feeling weary and skeptical. read more

MAY DENTAL has gone ABOVE and BEYOND to fix all of my defected procedures done previously by other dentists . Mark has even fixed work that had been done a year prior from another dentist in this area. My dental experience had been extremely frustrating and disappointing prior to May Dental. I had 11 total procedures in the past 7 years, all done by different dentist. Mark is slowly repairing every defected work. I truly cannot differentiate between my new crowns or my actual teeth. My entire family has been going to Dr. Taheri for over ten years. We have all moved from the area and although my kids are now grown and independent they continue to make the trip to see Dr. Taheri in Valencia coming as far away as Irvine, CA. I have had many crowns and overlays replaced by him, as his quality of work is noticeably better than any work I had prior. He also makes the pieces in house, no need for a temporary or for a 2 week follow up appointment to replace with permanent. I strongly advise against visiting this dentist. I had him remove old metal fillings, but after some research, I discovered that the procedure was neither performed properly nor safely. Additionally, he neglected to address the cracks in my molars caused by the metal fillings over the years. Instead of treating the issue, he simply filled the cracks with white material without mentioning that all four of my molars were compromised. I only learned about the extent of the damage after consulting another dentist, who reviewed my older X-rays. I have prove of this and should seeks legal advise after speaking with other dentist. I got a custom made night guard from May Dental to protect my teeth from grinding and I'm extremely satisfied. Unfortunately I had to leave this dental office. I needed a crown replaced. My insurance covers it 100% but was told that I could only get a "special crown" that they make in the office that would cost me $1,000 (with their "special discount"). When I told them I just wanted a regular crown she told me that they don't do those and if they did it would still cost me $1,000! May Dental does not run an honest dental office. I went in for a check up and they told me that I need to have a deep cleaning but they needed an approval from my insurance company which may take a few weeks. They said they would do a quick surface cleaning beforehand but I didn't see the need for this and said I would wait for the deep cleaning instead. I left the office without any cleaning but I later found out that they submitted an insurance claim for a cleaning. I called the insurance company to tell them that I didn't get a cleaning and they said to call the dentist because it was probably a clerical mistake. I have called May Dental numerous times without them getting back to me. They always say that they would have their billing department call me and they never did. Until I fixed this billing error I could get a dental cleaning from another dentist. It took about 6 months of repeated callings and eventually they said that it was the new fiscal year and that it didn't really matter, I could now have a new dental cleaning. 6 months of ignoring my calls. Completely dishonest billing practice. May Dental is not to be trusted. read more

Dr. T is great. I had a filling fall out on a Saturday morning, and he's the only dentist out of 4 who were open that answered (no one else even returned a message.). Not only was he available, he's professional and has a clean updated space. He worked fast, and did a really nice job. No pain, and he even didn't over do it on the numbing. On my way out, he also reviewed my insurance and offered some services that were completely covered. Helped me with a mouth guard at night, and his staff was really nice and efficient. They value all their patients and spends time talking to them About procedures I have really bad PTSD when it comes to the dentists and it take everything for me to even step inside the office, today i came in everything was great until they are doing the procedure. I was consciously sedated so i can still hear everything going on i was left lying there for 30mins with no one came to check if im in pain or explain anything! i was sent home with no explation as to what they did to me in excurriating pain and still drowsy. I've had my fair share of dental visits, meeting new dentists and having procedures done. May Dental is the first office that I have genuinely wanted to come back to. I had a root canal done today and there was ZERO pain. They are so kind here and Dr. Taheri always makes sure that you're completely comfortable before beginning any sort of procedure. He believes you when you talk about your anxieties and fears and makes sure that you will be stress free during your visit. Not only that, his bedside manner is the best I have seen. I hadn't been in for a visit in over a year and he treated me like a patient that he sees on a regular basis. He remembers his patients & I appreciate that. I am always treated with compassion when I enter these doors, not only from Dr. Taheri but also from the ladies working at the front desk. They are always in a positive mood and greet you as soon as you walk in. This is not easy to share, but I found this dentist through my insurance and brought my 3 children to Dr. Taheri in March of this year. On the day of the appointment, Dr. Taheri's x-ray equipment was broken and he was VERY heated upon arrival. After waiting 3 hours, and only 1 of my children had been called back for their cleaning - I asked the front desk for an update. Dr. Taheri did NOT like this and he got very upset. I took my phone out to capture his behavior - and he physically attacked me by twisting my arm to get the phone out of my hand. Yes his the female assistant was present and saw the whole thing. Since this has occurred, the police have been alerted as well as the dental board. IN ADDITION: He charged my insurance fraudulently for ALL 3 of my children's services to include a cleaning, x-rays (machine broken remember!!) and fluoride. Two of my children NEVER left the waiting room. I am writing to let the community know of this dentist's practices. He employs woman who are NOT certified to do dental work (current assistant is a 15 year old high school student). He abuses his staff verbally and pays them under the table (all girls are paid personal checks). The local businesses fear his behavior, and the police have been called several times. He scammed people with Covid testing - charging them for the "travel approved" test when it was NOT! Also a patient was allowed to leave without a driver after surgery and she passed out in front of his establishment in 90 degree weather. Many local businesses believe he lives at the office. This is all verified in the photos attached. These are conversations with local Santa Clarita residents that have worked directly at his office, or have been past patients, and even those who work in a near by building. Their privacy has been considered. BE CAREFUL!! THIS IS NOT A DENTIST YOU WOULD WANT TO GO TO! SAVE YOURSELF AND YOUR FAMILY!!!
