Not wanting to upset the apple cart, I drank my old fashioned (but didn't order a second). Our waitress was friendly and accommodating. She knew a couple people from our part and addressed them several times by name (nice touch). I ordered a ribeye with a side order of shrimp. The steak was cooked properly and was very tasty. The shrimp were also very good. My dining partner enjoyed their fried chicken dinner. We not only enjoyed the meals, we felt the price was reasonable. I probably let my experience at the bar affect me more than I should have; however, first impressions do make a difference.

When we first arrived I was afraid we wouldn't be getting food (couldn't smell any cooking and there wasn't anyone else eating) but I think we were just early for dinner. We went with 2 dozen wings; sweet chili and hot buffalo. While they took a little longer than expected they were WORTH EVERY SECOND. These are some of the best wings we've ever had, anywhere. They were extremely meaty, perfectly crispy fried, and sauced. We actually finished them all - delicious. They have a special on their wings on Wednesdays. I noticed they have a pizza deal on Saturdays and a chicken dinner deal on Sunday. Service was great, wings were great, drinks were a good pour for a fantastic price. No kidding, don't let the gas station vibes throw you, this place has great eats. We walked in through the gas station part of the building and were surprised to see the rustic decor of a medium sized dining area and an adjacent bar. It was a pretty full dining room and we sat ourselves. It didn't look promising as we saw one waitress and one bartender. However, after a brief wait, the waitress came to our table and assured us she would return as quickly as possible to get our drink and food orders. She returned as promised. Our drinks arrived a short time later. They were well made and attention was paid to get us another round as we finished the first. Our table had ribs, prime rib and a French dip sandwich. The portion size was great and the food arrived hot. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and the sauce was tasty. The prime rib had great flavor, was prepared as ordered and had very little fat. The French dip was also tasty. Truth be told, a salad bar would make this a true five star rating. The salads served with the meal were nice but very run-of-the-mill. Will we go back in the future? You betcha!
