They have a sand volleyball court. Lots of walking trails. Even behind the trees where a retention pond is. They have covered pavilions with picnic tables and bbq pits. Also love that the playground is covered and kids can play in the shade. That's a MUST for Texas parks!

I initially thought they were closed because the gate had the lock still on it (in a locked position) but luckily, someone advised me that they were actually open. I've hiked here in every kind of weather all year long. I love how there is always something new to see and its so wonderful to live in the city but so close to a place where you can go and not even hear a car. I've seen owls, alligators, wild boar, deer, snakes, and so many different kids of birds. I've lived all over the country as we used to be a military family and this was a hard move for me, initially. I'm not near any of my family here, and I had been living near mountains or the ocean my entire adult life. But I've grown to love the bayou wildlife and scenery as well.
