ATV & Cenote swim about 30-45 mins each, Zip lines - 4 total. Definitely worth doing it, Time did NOT feel short at all; just enough to do multiple activities in 4-5 hours. Any transportation to and from the jungle area just adds more time. Highly recommend for Families with kids (8+ minimum age) to all activities. The guides take care of you & make sure you're safe. Even if your hesistant about ziplines you can do the small ones only. The biggest one is about 7 stories tall & 1 minute long- I think. Summary: Four stars because the experience is AMAZING. Removed a star for big discrepancies in pricing and the photo package they offer is way too expensive. More on this at the end. Pricing: Sites like GetYourGuide.com will rip you off. Make sure to shop around and consider booking directly with Maya Adrenaline. We paid $100 a person while other folks on our same tour only paid $41 a person. Removed half a star for this because partnering with third-party websites created this price discrepancy. Experience: The location is beautiful and feels remote even though it is only 10-15 minutes from the center of town. The ATVs, horses, zip lines, and cenote are safe and so fun! Our guide, Julio, was very sweet and did a great job. NOT accessible for individuals who may have mobility issues, like folks in wheelchairs. Food: NOT VEGAN OR VEGETARIAN FRIENDLY. Honestly, the lunch was pretty bland. I recommend bringing chips or something dry to hold you over until you get yourself something more filling. Shopping/Add-Ons: The souvenir shop feels like a hassle because they basically force you to take a look at the wares as part of the tour. They stated something to the effect that the souvenir shop was Maya Adrenaline's way of giving back to the Maya community because the profits go directly to the Mayan people. If they're concerned with giving back to the community, they should provide livable wages and donate a percentage of their profits to Mayan nonprofits. Passing on the responsibility of "giving back" to the consumer is not a good way to market their products. Additionally, they offer a photo package at the very end of the tour for 1000 MXN pesos. First off, that's ridiculous. The photo package should be included in your ticket, period. It isn't fair because they sell the photos PER GROUP, so a large group gets the photos for a much better price than a pair. They should also tell you about the photo package at the BEGINNING so you make sure you take good photos and you have more time to consider whether or not you want it. read more

Maya Adrenaline - Snorkeling Near Me

Booked the Maya Adrenaline Tour from a kiosk on 5th. It was supposed to include 4-5 zip lines, atv-ing, an authentic meal and cenote. Transportation was provided and then picked us up to the hotel and brought us to their store to pay the remaining balance. The driver from our PDC hotel was about 30 mins. Upon arrival we were brought to a shop where they showed us all the items we should or could be buying - goggles, glasses, bandanas, water, bug repellant and sunscreen. I wished they had told us in advance that they did not provide goggles as this was the first time I have been on an ATV tour that didn't provide them. We all purchased bandanas and some of my friends also purchased eyewear. We had brought towels and a change of clothes but there is nowhere to carry them (bring a small backpack or be prepared to have nothing on your trip - including water as there was no place to put it). We put our bags in a locker and were provided the ATVs. The group was small which was nice, the guides were very knowledgeable. The cons - we only went on 1 zip line. There was one in a cave that was offered which we declined (we were told it was normally a kids activity) but the brochure said one of the longest zip lines in the area and we felt a little ripped off by this. Even if the mini water zip line was 1/4 or 1/5 offered, where were the other 3? After the ATVs we returned for a snack and we thought it would be an authentic meal as per the brochure and it was a ham and cheese sandwich - with one single slice of ham and one single slice of cheese along with some iced tea. My husband and I are adventurers and couldn't stand being at the resort another day without anything to do. We messaged this company late the night before and they quickly got us on for the next morning ATV/zipline/cenote tour which was awesome. We weren't far from the office so we were last picked up and first dropped off which was awesome. They were on time and easy transportation. We got to the office and they tried to sell us on bandanas and water shoes so be weary. The company says you just need tennis shoes - bring your own water shoes! They start with the ATV. It's fun, don't get me wrong, but you're following a large pack of people so it's just driving around in a giant circle. We're outdoorsy people so I'm sure this was really cool for people who usually aren't out of their comfort zone, but we wish we could have explored on our own. After, we did zip lines. There's a couple other groups there so there is some waiting on them. The ziplines were fun, cool views. Last was the star of the show - the cenote. The guide brought us in pretty deep to the cenote and it was incredible. Deep waters, crazy cave connections throughout the whole area, and such cool history. It was amazing we were blown away. And crystal clear water. It was cool. We could have spent all day in the cenote. But like I mentioned - it's not necessarily for super adventurous people. It's definitely heavily guided. The lunch was okay, but we were starving so anything was good at that point. We wish they would have fed us in between at some point or had a snack, so make sure to bring one with you! read more

This was a great experience especially for a first timer. Our tour guide Rafa, was soooo funny and a complete joy! The ride from the city was about 25 mins to the jungle, everything was explained thoroughly, and the adventures were exactly as described. Zipline was fun, but the highest one is not for the weak! Its super high and I was terrified! The Cenote was beautiful, and the atvs were cool also. One thing to note is that there are sooooooooooo many mosquitoes it can be a bit unbearable at times, bring your OFF! Also bring money in case you want to buy something to snack on or just bring your own snacks. Be sure to tip your tour guide! The "lunch" was after everything was over so it was pretty late and we were starved. Don't expect much from the lunch as it is just enough to take the hanger away. Rice, beans, and chx taquitos. I would absolutely recommend if you are deciding where to go for an adventure experience! read more

Believe me, if I could leave NO stars, that would be more accurate. To start both sales ppl plus Maya Adrenaline did not have proper communication and consistency. Firstly when we booked, our pick up location was promised to be at our hotel. Later, after 10 pm (to be exact) we were informed of our new pick up location, located several blocks away. Everyone else was picked up directly from their hotel. The only highlight of our day were the caves/cenote, which surprisingly wasn't even the main reason for booking the tour. The end of the tour, after the water activity, I specifically asked where to change into my dry clothes, and was immediately told not to worry since I was getting dropped off in front of my hotel. So I didn't, I stayed in my wet clothes waiting to be dropped off as promised. Once again, everyone else was dropped off in front of their hotel, but when it came time for me and my families drop off, even tho we were the last ones, we were denied the exact same service as all the rest. We were dropped off several blocks away, being refused to be taken back to our hotel, with wet clothes. Therefore due to the gross incompetence of BOTH sales staff AND tour company, I would strongly advise against booking with any and all tour services provided by Maya Adrenaline. read more

This was an AWESOME trip! From start to finish. Every member of their staff were completely professional and so fun! We are from Florida and speak very very little Spanish, the language barrier was not an issue at any point! Our guide Jose was excellent! He took great care of our young daughter (9 years old) always making sure she was safe and having fun! We did the ATV, Zip line, Cenote tour, which includes lunch, which was always great! Keep in mind, you ARE venturing through the jungle, you will get dirty and the mosquitoes are there, but that's all part of the adventure into a new culture! All in all, I cannot imagine why anyone would rate this tour anything less than 5 stars. read more

Terrible - do not recommend at all. Super disorganized and very slow. When we got there, it took forever to pay and then the salespeople are hounding you to buy things. Our tour guide was a nice person, but we were ALONE in the woods multiple times and did not have anyone guiding us. At the end when we all did not want to go to the cenotes (which have bats in the cave and fish swimming around) part of our group COULD NOT go back to the main area which is a bus ride away. Instead, we had to sit around, hungry and tired and wait for the rest of our group. Not only was this annoying, it's stupid - we wanted to spend money on food, drinks, and souvenirs. (We didn't bring money to the cenote area). We were irritated and ready to go so we didn't spend any additional money. The drinks were terrible anyway, so they saved me from wasting money. Finally, a van with NO AC took us back. Overall we had some fun on the ziplines and ATVs, but there are much better organized tours than this one with guides who make sure you have a great experience. At the end of the tour, they then tried to cram our party of 9 into a van with another group even though we paid for private transportation. After we protested, they put us in our own (raggedy) van to get back home. But if we wouldn't have said anything, they totally would have scammed us out of a ride. Then to add insult to injury, we got SO SICK from the food and drinks there. Avoid this place at all costs! Two stars only because the forest is beautiful! read more

The overall experience was ruined by the lack of courtesy and rudeness of certain staff members. it's all hurry up and wait. The transportation experience was horrible especially towards the end when it was time to leave. They made us sit in a van with no A/c for almost two hours to wait for another group and when we inquired about the wait, the driver became obnoxious with us. It was horrible and unjustified. I don't recommend this place at all , plenty of other places to try. read more

A group of 7 women and I booked a half-day excursion day with this company, but at the very beginning of our excursion, a female in our group noticed a staff member's arm hanging over the top of the bathroom stall holding his blue cell phone to record photos/videos of her using the restroom. She then ran out of her stall to try to get him to unlock his stall and show her his phone's photos so she could see that the images were deleted. For a couple of minutes the offending young male would not come out of his stall, and when he finally emerged to meet other staff members and our victimized female along with our alarmed group, the offending male lied and said he had no phone. After many minutes of the group arguing, his phone surfaced, and again we were fed lies about how this all didn't happen. We dug through his phone, but the pictures had already been deleted. Unfortunately, two other female members of our group had used the same bathroom stall only seconds before our female group member who had caught the offender, so the other two members of our group (myself included) were VERY likely victim to the same offense but they just didn't happen to look up to see the man's phone filming them. Eventually the company's staff isolated the victimized member of our group to talk to her about what had happened and, after a long conversation, the company agreed that to make up for it: they would cover our whole group's participation fee for the day and give our group free photos after the excursion. Had the company not promised that, our group would have left immediately. Instead, we went on with the day. However, when our group finished the excursion and when we talked with supervisor Pablo to get in writing the initial communication about receiving the day for free, he said the company was only covering our single victimized member's participation fee, and that if we wanted to have the rest of our group covered, we would need to go off-site and take it up with the Mexican police. We asked why his promise had changed, but he insisted that the company had only promised that one of us would participate for free as a result of this offense. Perhaps there was a communication misunderstanding in the initial conversation between parties, but honestly I can't see why a company wouldn't compensate an entire party when something this awful happens to its members. We had at least three females being taken advantage of and it was a sex crime: photos taken of us with our pants down and without our consent. Why would a company's leadership not be grateful that we weren't pressing charges against them, and give us what we felt was fair given the level of the offense? There was no evidence we could have given the Mexican police anyway because we insisted that the offending staff member delete the photos. Why would the supervisor believe one of our group member's word about what happened, but refuse to listen to anyone else in our group about how we also had gone into the same stall to likely have our privacy violated? This is a piss poor example of the leader of a company not taking ownership of injustice his employee caused. Deferring to another authority in response, the leader instead assumed that he can put a price on our non-consenting naked bodies? That is complete bullshit. Fuck that leader's decision and what it represents. This company de-prioritizes customer service and justice in response to its staff member's predatory actions, period. I'm not sure what value they were prioritizing instead, was it profit or covering their costs? I don't understand the supervisor's logic to his values system because it sounds ineffective to lose customers due to a harmful occurrence not to being set right. That will decrease the company's profit in the long run. In response, we told the supervisor - okay so what you're saying is that if you're not going to compensate us properly to make up for this injustice, you're okay with us writing an honest review about the offense that just happened?? He said yes. So here is that review. Other friends in my group have posted this story, too, but I hear the travel company is finding ways to take our posts down. The upside here: this company's RTV, zip line, and cave swimming experience was really lovely and Jose was a fabulous tour guide. But if you hire this company, be careful of when you are changing your clothes or using the restroom while you are on property because there may be sexual predators on staff. And if they capture you naked on film without your consent, don't expect their company's leadership to take ownership of the situation and set it right. Not worth the money. The experience is sketchy at best starting with the salesperson that promises everything you can think of for a low price. Waited 40 mins on the side of the road(where they said pick up would be) for the van to pick us up because they were having trouble locating the first family they were picking up. The van was hot and we were told that was the max ac possible. Our tour guide was Samuel - he did the best he could but every family in our group (3 families) was promised something different. 1 of the families wasn't able to do but 1 activity since they were deceived about what they were purchasing. They took pictures the entire time... when it came time to purchase the pictures... they were offered to the other families at $600 pesos... our price was $50 dollars- when I asked why my price was so much higher the guy became defensive and lowered the price to $40 dollars. I asked him to give me the same price as the other families and he became defensive... I later overheard him talking trash about our family and our unrealistic expectations. (My husband is white and I'm Mexican, though I don't think they knew I spoke Spanish fluently) The facility is run down. The zip lining platforms are unstable, harnesses are old and rusted. ATVs were old and pretty beat up, we had to go slow because one of the guys in the group was having a hard time making his ATV work(struggling to keep up). read more

My husband and I just did Maya Adrenaline's Tulum Snorkel Cenote experience and after what we experienced, we could never recommend this company. Tulum was amazing. We had an incredible guide named Ruben who was fun, educational and we learned so much. We loved our time there and had so much fun. Unfortunately that was the only part of the day we enjoyed.  The cenote part of the day was stressful. Our group had 11 people in it and only 4, including my husband and I, needed English translation. Our guide from Maya Adrenaline basically ignored us, leaving us confused on what was happening. He would speak in Spanish for minutes at a time and not translate into English. We were left confused on what was going on and didn't get much out of the trip. We were not told we would be going deep into the caves until we were doing it.  This would have been nice to know ahead of time. This wasn't advertised anywhere. Maybe the guide did go over this but if he did it was only in Spanish so we didn't know. Additionally, the guide intentionally kept flicking his flashlight on and off. I think he was tying to be funny but it really made things worse for both of us. Additionally he spent 20 minutes taking lame pictures that we would later be pressured into buying instead of letting us enjoy the place we paid to be. We were excited when the cenote was over and were hopeful that the snorkel part would be better. However it was so much worse. The guides had no respect for the marine life. I have snorkeled in Mexico many times and I know that one of the most basic rules is to not touch the marine life. However our guide was diving down and FEEDING the turtles and sting rays to get them to come closer and she kicked them multiple times, and was touching them. I was appalled but it got even worse when she grabbed my hand and my husbands hand and forced us to touch the turtle too. It was a horrible experience that practically had me in tears as feeding and touching the turtles, along with other marine life, is detrimental to their well being and their sustainability. At first I thought maybe these guides weren't part of Maya Adrenaline and we were just going to alert them however we checked back with them to ask who the company was that they used for snorkeling and we were told that they use their own people for the snorkeling so this falls back on them 100%. This company is horrible and has no respect for both guests and wildlife. Do yourself a favor and book your excursions elsewhere. read more

It was such a fun experience for the entire family! It included zip lining, ATV and cenote tour. Our tour guide Jose was absolutely the BEST! He made it enjoyable with his sense of humor, explaining details along the way, ensuring we all felt safe/comfortable when doing the activities. It also included a lunch which wasn't a 5-star meal but after several hours of being in the jungle it hit the spot. I would say the only downside was the initial shuttle van did not have AC (we were all uncomfortable in the car ride because it was a warm day). read more
