My friends and I were staying at the Coronado for a little staycation/birthday celebration so we decided to try the Maya Grill! Walking in, there was live entertainment and a classy Spanish look to the restaurant. A place where you can bring a date or family for dinner. I ordered the shrimp tacos which the menu said were a house favorite and I was impressed! Disney food is usually pretty mediocre for me, nothing special but these shrimp tacos were delicious and packed with flavor! The esquites (corn) was even really good. Service was good, slow at times, but overall was very patient and polite and even didn't charge us for our drinks or chips and salsa. Would come back for those tacos! read more

The food was delicious. I got the mole ribs and mashed potatoes and the margarita flight. I fully enjoyed it all. We had to wait far longer than the hostess said, so I was a little grumpy, but we got an angel server--Sari-- who made everything better. They really only get 3 stars for the margaritas. I had the jalapeno one, and it was spicy and refreshing. My mom and sister had more traditional ones, and they were really good too. Definitely over-priced, and does not come with chips and salsa. A woman at the table next to us told us not to order the food because it was "disgusting." Based on her strong opinion, we just ordered some chips and salsa which turned out to be a handful of chips on a plate with some pico and nacho sauce on the side. Delicious with great ambiance! While staying at Coronado Springs, I made a reservation for dinner at Maya. It took a couple minutes to be seated and another few minutes to be greeted by our server. However, he was attentive and personable. I ordered the sirloin fajitas and wasn't disappointed by the flavorful steak and well-seasoned refried black beans. For dessert, the key lime shooter was tart and refreshing. I'd definitely recommend Maya! read more

Staying at the Coronado Springs Resort and needed a spot to feed my two kiddos, one of whom is a vegetarian. Christian took phenomenal care of us, my picky carnivore enjoyed her steak taco, and our little vegetarian raved, "worth the walk" [from the room] and "best meal of the trip." I ate breakfast here twice with my boyfriend, mainly because we were staying at the Coronado and it was easier than heading off to one of the parks. The decor is nice and I did enjoy the breakfast for the most part. It wasn't anything special compared to disney standards, but I didn't hate it so I won't bash on them. The only major problem I had with them is that the waitress lost my credit card and tried to blame it on me by saying I never gave it to here. They spent 20 minutes looking for it and only after I yelled at here and the manager over it. They eventually found it but that's besides the point. read more

I must say that I am just shocked at the lack of "magical" in the staff here. I'm here for a conference and when I heard that we would be staying at a Disney resort I thought I was lucky! I expected high end service with a Disney kind of smile. We did not get that here! Our waitress seemed less than eager to serve us-completely un-enthused! My friend asked what kind of soup they had--and I guess because he asked she just assumed that he wanted it....so when he didn't take it and asked that it be removed from the bill she was clearly annoyed. When we asked for salsa she said "I'll see if I can find some"....in a Mexican restaurant?? I guess I had this vision of what a Disney hotel and restaurant would entail....I was completely wrong!! Although we didn't stay at Coronado Springs, we heard enough positive reviews about the Maya Grill to make us want to try it. We are big fans of Mexican food, and (outside of Epcot) that's a little tough to find on Disney property. The reviews were right; this place is awesome. It was very quiet when we ate there. That was nice. The theming is - as expected from Disney - phenomenal. The service was equally excellent. The food portion sizes are very large. Sometimes large quantities are a reflection of poor quality... but not in this case. EVERYTHING was awesome. All four family members sampled from each others' entrees, and I had difficulty finding my favorite item. The chorizo sausages were great. My tacos were great. The queso fundido was great. And so on... Regrettably, we did not have room for dessert. read more

Dined here with my family tonight and had gotten used to the Disney style of customer service; solid in even the most crowded establishments. From the start, we were left waiting quite some time in spite of having reservations and the restaurant not being that crowded. We ordered quickly as we were dining with young children. This was prompt but the service did not deliver beyond that. Our orders (grown up orders) took a considerable time to arrive. Our sever did not check in on us again. What promoted the low rating was the server taking my glass of wine before I'd finished and while I was paying. Disney + Mexican food= good choice. My wife and i shared the Grande Fajita platter, and it was plenty of food for us. All of the meet was well seasoned, and the fresh tortillas were delicious. As with every Disney restaurant in this price bracket, the atmosphere was incredible. We were seated at a corner table in the back, which gave us a great view of the lake. Giving us a bag & plastics are with our to go box was a nice touch. My only concern was our server. He did a great job, but I think he was given too many tables to manage. There may have been a staff shortage, because he bussing tables as well as waiting tables. Other than that we really enjoyed our experience. We will definitely be back in the future. read more

Poor service. Not worth the money. Witnessing another table not be greeted should have been a bad sign. We stayed when we should have found another option for dinner. At least the manager tried. Server was definitely stayed away. Guacamole was less than perfect. Chills does a better job. One note under seasoned and very inconsistent throughout. Ordered the ribeye for two. Under cooked. This restaurant is in Coronado Springs resort, and is honestly the best restaurant there. Their complementary bread is to die for! You are seated fast and the service is amazing. My husband and I visited the Maya Grill after being too Downtown Disney'd out. We were seated by a pretty water feature that was so relaxing. Our waiter, Sal was a friendly and attentive server. We even talked about our children and he shared photos of his new baby. We didn't mind at all. He was a proud new Dad. In fact, it was endearing to us. Now let's discuss atmosphere. Quiet, dim lights and candles, water features, soft Latin inspired music. It's very adult oriented and very few children. Great for a romantic Disney date. The food was delicious. We were both surprised at our meals. My husbands steak fajita was jaw dropping. The steak just melted in your mouth. My chicken enchilada was great too. We both kept saying "This is so good" while we ate. You must try the dessert shots! It's just enough of a rich and decadent dessert in a double shot glass. A perfect close to your meal. read more

Total waste of money. The food is just terrible. I hate to give bad reviews but seriously, this place is awful. From the twee music to the atmosphere, to the short (and horrible) menu, the place is just bad. The food is very low quality, and uninventive. A smidge of effort on the part of the chef would make a difference. However, it's just not worth the money. I ordered the veggie tacos, which were served with rice and corn (from a can or a frozen bag). That was it. No sour cream, no salsa, no guac, nothing. Just tortillas, with broccoli stems, carrots (only a few) and some other unknown "veggies" which were topped with purple cabbage. So bland and uninviting. What a waste of money. Disney - you can do better. Avoid this place unless you like barely mediocre Sisco food. read more

Delicious food and amazing service! Went two nights in a row. Had the Cornish hen the first night and the red snapper the second night. Both were incredible! We were staying at Coronado Springs and decided to try this table service restaurant when the Pepper Market offered few vegan dinner options. Our first visit was rather late in the evening so we were seated quickly despite not having reservations. The decor is nice as Disney loves to theme it's resorts but the separation of the dinning areas made us feel cut off. We needed to wait longer for our second visit earlier in the evening on a weekday. Thankfully, the live music throughout this visit livened up the space. Our servers were both very kind and present. The stars are higher because of them. Now onto the food! The house quacamol and chips were good just not the best any of us have had. The meals were well proportioned, but sadly not what one would hope considering their prices. However, the spring roll appetizer was delicious! Met up with cousins for dinner here. The restaurant was dimly lighted and had a contemporary decor. We started with the sampler which included shrimp cocktail, pork pulled empanada, and scallops. Our entree was a chicken breast with mole sauce and pork chop with rice pilaf and mushrooms. I thought that the mole sauce wasn't too spicy and complimented the chicken very well. Didn't want to venture away from the resort for dinner, so I braved this place despite mixed reviews. I tried the margarita flight and the achiote grilled pork chop. The mango and hibiscus margaritas were my least favorite -- too sweet -- while I enjoyed the pineapple and jalapeno varieties. The pork chop was tender and the tomatillo salsa had great flavor. For dessert, I had to try the flan with coconut sauce and caramel, which was solid too. Overall the food was good, but not great, pretty much as expected. I waited about 15 minutes after being seated for anyone to check on me or take my order. Went here for dinner on our travel day.We didn't feel like going to Disney Springs or traveling for dinner so we thought we'd try it out. We made reservations at 6pm and basically had the restaurant to ourselves. We were running about 20 min late due to a luggage situation out of our control with Coronado Springs so we called Maya Grill and they were beyond accommodating. They told us not to worry, take our time and they would get us in no problem. And that is exactly what they did. The atmosphere is quiet and nice and we had a great table by the window. Our waitress Elizabeth was excellent. She was nice, accommodating, professional and gave us some great recommendations. The food was delicious and the drinks were amazing. We also had dessert which was great too. I wouldn't really put this on your must visit list but if it's a travel day or a day off from the parks this is a great low key option. If you are staying at Coronado Springs it's located right in the main building and is a great option. read more

I've eaten here for the past two nights while on a conference and both nights the food was superb. The family sitting at the table next to me this evening were also over the moon about their selections. They have many gluten free options and delicious dessert mousses. Service was good both nights, although it is more leisurely than most city folk are used to. I have to remind myself at a vacation resort. Even so, both nights I was in a hurry and both nights I got out in time to make my next meeting. They had live music last night that was fantastic. Best Mexican food at WDW! Having eaten in all the Mexican restaurants at Epcot and being sadly disappointed, we decided to try Maya Grill! I am gluten free, and so is half the menu! It's easier to catch dinner at the resort between parks, and we are always pleasantly thrilled over the enormous and tasty fajitas!!! They are also incredibly accommodating to my picky eater son! The ambiance is lovely, service is fantastic, and management is highly attentive! For Disney, the prices are good as well! It would be the same price to get good Mexican food at home. We will continue to eat at this hidden gem Every time we stay at our favorite hotel, Coronado Springs! I do not understand the dissatisfaction on Yelp!
