What an amazing dining experience! Delicious food and great service! We had made a reservation for 630pm on a Friday night. We got there at a great time! They offer entertainment I believe it was like every 30 minutes. They were so nice and came around to each table to talk to guest. We were served salsa and chips to begin with. The chips were very fresh and plentiful. We started off with table side guacamole, which was amazing! It was a great amount for 4 people at least. It came with fresh pork rinds, which were nice! We also ordered the White Queso Dip. This was absolutely incredible! The best I've ever had I think. For my entree I ordered the Carne Asada and Nopal tacos on flour tortillas. So delicious! Perfectly cooked and seasoned! Very flavorful! Service was outstanding! Would definitely go back and recommend! read more

Incredible Mexican restaurant. A great atmosphere. There's a lot going on in this place. They even periodically have dancers that dance on the stage and come down into the crowd. Traditional Mexican female dancers. The food was scrumptious. Not too spicy but very savory. The salsa is very fresh and has a unique twist. Chimichanga and tableside guac were good. It seems like the guac that comes with the dishes are not made in house and definitely differ from table side guac. Service was a little slower, but it's nice to not be rushed after being at the parks all day. read more

We asked to merge our reservations and push our tables together and were told we would have to wait an hour and a half longer, which seemed nuts to me because the restaurant was pretty empty. Mark was our server. He seemed very sad and depressed. Queso 9/10 Not all of the cheese was melted so some of it was still stringy. The flavor was great though Tableside guac 3/10 Not sure who made this but it was suuuper salty, we couldn't even eat it. We had to send it back the salt was just too much. I tried some of the guac that came on the side with my cousins quesadilla, and it was very good- that one wasn't salty. Birria tacos 10/10 We got them on the flour tortillas. Nice atmosphere and could seat us relatively fast for a busy night . Server was nice. We really like the table side Guac and nacho with beef. Margaritas was good too ! But unfortunately main entrees were not ! Both steak and grilled chicken had these burned deep black grill marks that changed texture and taste of meet and didn't look very healthy. And the wall of decorated baby dolls near the restroom? Definitely memorable... just not in a way I fully understood. Service was a highlight. Our server, Abby, was friendly, attentive, and consistently checked in without being overbearing. She made sure we always had what we needed. The food, unfortunately, was hit or miss. We started with chips and guacamole, which sounded promising with the tableside preparation, but the flavor fell flat--missing salt, lime, and any real kick despite choosing medium spice. Good menu, decent service for a hopping place, tables a smidge crowded though...as we felt like we were seated in a major thoroughfare it was hard to enjoy our food as much with people constantly brushing past. Massive portion sizes for the free chips and salsa, which were both tasty. After reading some Of the other reviews we were pleasantly surprised when we stopped her during a recent trip to Universal Studios Orlando. The nachos, enchiladas, and parilla steak were all good (though, we'd ask for the cold ingredients on the side of the enchiladas). They had dancers that performed and a couple of them came by our table to interact with the kids and it was a fun and entertaining experience. We sat close to the open kitchen and the staff worked very well together and seem so efficient it was a pleasure to watch them. So we decided to give it a try and it was absolutely delicious! Where do I begin? Unfortunately, this was a disappointing experience overall. I ordered the Camarones al Ajillo, and my daughter ordered the carne asada burrito. I'd rate both dishes 4/10. The only reason they scored that high is because the shrimp itself was salvageable after scraping off the overwhelming chipotle sauce. The burrito had very little meat, but the carne asada itself tasted decent once we removed it from the sauce. Both meals also came with beans that didn't taste like traditional Mexican-style beans. For a restaurant advertising authentic Mexican food, this meal was far from authentic. My wife ordered the taco plate, which was actually the best meal we had. If I had to recommend anything, it would be the tacos. I'd give that dish a 6/10. Customer service was also underwhelming, earning a 4/10. My husband and I ate here tonight and everyone who helped us in letting us know or table was ready, to the server of our meal and manager stopping by to see that we had everything we needed. The food was excellent and came to our table in a very presentable way, even our drinks were nicely presented too. We loved the cauldron like bowls that the salsa and chips were in prior to our meal. A very crowded Thursday evening, but we decided that it was worth the wait. We were seated at a two-top in the back of the restaurant. Not the best table, but Okay. We ordered drinks and then a few minutes later our main entree. Because the restaurant was crowded, we were told it would take about 20 minutes before our food would be coming. That was about right. We each had a burrito. Before that we nibbled on the chips and salsa, which were very good. Food was good, service was good. The restaurant was quite loud due to the crowded nature of the place. Nice Mexican restaurant in the Citywalk of Universal. We were seated right away after talking to the check-in counter. We were sitting upstairs in the quiet section while music/dance were going on downstairs. We weren't too hungry, so we ordered Al Pastor Tacos and Torta soup. They were great, delicious. The atmosphere of this restaurant felt more like a noisy cafeteria than a place to enjoy a meal. It lacked any kind of warmth or personality, and the setup made it difficult to have a conversation with anyone at my table due to the noise and open layout. The food was incredibly disappointing. The fajitas tasted like they came straight from a freezer bag--completely flavorless and lacking any seasoning. The flour tortillas were hard and clearly not fresh. The tacos were tiny--three small tacos for the price felt like a ripoff. The rice that came with them tasted like instant box rice--again, no flavor. The taco meat was dry and reminded me of something from Taco Bell, definitely not worth the cost. Our waiter was mediocre at best. I understand he had a lot of tables, but we only saw him three times during the entire visit. What really confused me was the decision to serve a plastic child's cup alongside a heavily chemical-scented paper straw. If there's supposed to be an environmental statement there, it completely missed the mark. In short, I cannot recommend this restaurant. For the money spent, at least try to compete with a place like Chuy's or Habanero--restaurants that actually serve flavorful, authentic food made from scratch. This was highly commercialized, bland, and forgettable. Hugely disappointed. read more

We have tried to visit Antojitos several times when visiting Universal Orlando. Each time we chose to go elsewhere because of the extensive wait times. On our last visit, I made a reservation on the Universal app. Our family loves Mexican food and we were excited to give it a try. I was disappointed that even with a reservation and a small party of only 3, we had to sit outside...and it was hot. We did not get to experience the interior other than the check-in station where we were greeted by 2 hosts who both were less than friendly. Our server seemed flustered and needed multiple reminders to refill our water glasses (again it was HOT). She took our order, disappeared, then our food arrived in shifts by different people. It was bizarre. The quality of the food wasn't great. Each of us had different entrees because we like to share and taste as much as we can. We agreed that nothing had flavor except the al pastor taco...where the only flavor was the pineapple. We did enjoy the bottled Mexican Coca Colas. There are so many great places to eat in Citywalk...we won't be going back to Antojitos. If we want low-quality "Mexican" food, we'll go to Taco Bell for less money and more flavor. read more

Showed up and table wasnt ready for 10 minutes. 20 min after seating someone walked by and said Ill get you water Another 10 min, water arrived. She was so attentive, made sure we had our waters full and that everything came out to our satisfaction. The queso blanco was good, but needs to be eaten right away as it gets thick when it cools. The food here? Honestly great! flavorful, well done, no complaints. If this review were based on food alone, easy 5 stars. But the experience? That's where things went off the rails. After waiting about 10 minutes just to reach the hostess stand, I finally got to the front only for a man dressed like a highlighter cosplaying a midlife crisis (yes, a blindingly yellow Despicable Me t-shirt) to slither in and cut the entire line like a villain in a low-budget cartoon. I called it out loudly, because subtlety felt inappropriate for the level of audacity on display, but the hostess, Ameera, just... let it happen. No hesitation, no correction, just a quiet green light for chaos. It was like watching someone hold the door open for bad behavior and wave it inside. And this man, this absolute agent of disorder, looked exactly how he acted. Bald spot shining under the lights like a warning beacon, one eye wandering off on its own journey, chewing like he was trying to win a competitive crunching championship. If "bad vibes" had a physical form, it would be him in that shirt. Naturally, we then got seated directly across from him. Of course. Because why wouldn't the universe double down? So instead of enjoying my meal, I got dinner and a show: front-row seats to him loudly devouring chips and tacos like a human garbage disposal, while his equally delightful entourage, who I can only describe as his loyal little minions-in-training, sat there enabling the whole spectacle. And to top it all off? This man had the nerve to order the cheapest items on the menu for his table, like some kind of bargain-bin supervillain. Cutting lines with premium confidence, but ordering like he left his wallet at home. So yeah: Food: great. Service: questionable at best, especially when it comes to basic fairness. Atmosphere: heavily dependent on whether you're seated near a budget-conscious supervillain and his minion squad. I'd come back for the food. But next time, i'm asking to be seated in the no minions area. read more

Grabbed some fresh margs and table side made guacamole. Guacamole, 10/10. They make it to order and super fresh. Margs, 8/10. The sour they use is a bit much, but the flavors are amazing. My husband and I used to come here a couple times a month. We love the food, drinks and the atmosphere is great. The entertainment is fun and lively. But our most recent visit is probably our last. The drinks took a long time to come out but it was busy as usual so that was ok. The Pineapple Fire & ice marg is usually my favorite! However this time my margarita was warm.. I understand it comes with a popsicle but this was the first time it's ever come out not chilled. Our server came to take our orders. She took my husbands order of steak tacos and just walked away. I yelled out to wait but I don't think she heard me. It's so awkward having to flail to get a servers attention so I hated having to do that. I think she hated I did that too because she seemed so frustrated walking back over to us. I asked for the chicken tacos. We got our food and as usual it was delicious. We both wanted another drink but our server never came back. My husband asked a runner or different server for a refill on his iced tea. I was mid sip when this happened but I figured I would just ask our server for another marg when she came back. But... She never did. We sat and waited a long time and she finally came back and said "you done or?" ... I asked for the check. We normally would have another drink and a dessert at least but we decided to go and have that at a different restaurant at Citywalk. She came back with the check quickly and while I was looking at the tab she came back and snapped it out of my hands. I was in disbelief. We spent the whole dinner waiting for her and the only time she was fast was to take the tab out of my hand. I didn't even have time to add my passholder card. I don't think we'd come back or recommend this place again. I should have talked to a manager that night but we just wanted another drink and dessert at that point. We had a reservation and still waited over an hour to be seated. The wait was so long that I actually fell asleep while waiting. I wish I were exaggerating. When we finally got to our table, things somehow got worse. After another long wait, our food arrived cold. Nothing says "great dining experience" quite like finally getting your meal after forever and finding out it's barely warm. To top it all off, my Sprite tasted like it had been watered down so much that I started wondering if someone accidentally filled my cup from the sink. At that point, I wasn't sure if I was drinking Sprite or flavored water. The entire experience felt disorganized and frustrating. A reservation should mean you get seated in a reasonable amount of time, not that you have enough free time to take a nap. Between the endless wait, the cold food, and the mystery Sprite-water combo, this was easily one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I've had. Would not recommend unless you bring a pillow, blanket, microwave, and your own soda. read more
