It's an open air bar and grill overlooking the creek and each table has a view of the water/resort complex.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When we went for lunch the restaurant was generally a chill place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant had a generally nice atmosphere and there were some ducks and other birds that waddle through the restaurant, a plus for me but something to be aware of.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The birds never messed with us or our food otherwise it would have been more of a negative to me but they did grab some food from empty tables after other costumers left but don't worry, the staff sprays the tables down and keeps them clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was pretty good, I wasn't expecting much but it was nice and fresh. We got a turkey wrap and ahi tuna bowl; both were great. The was food good, a little expensive but not bad for a resort. It is a fun atmosphere with a few TVs to watch sporting events.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They were able to accommodate our large party of 15 on both Friday and Saturday night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a good variety of salads, sandwiches, wings, wraps, bowls, etc. Our group was all able to find something we enjoyed. Huge portion for the seafood salad (ceviche style cooked shrimp and baby scallops, red bell peppers, orange, onions with plaintain chips on the side. Best thing we got. Also got grouper sandwich (a bit spicy blackening seasoning, good flavor , comes with fries that were nice fresh and hot) and falafel pita (good portion 3 balls with tzatziki, greens, tomato, onion and fries). Two and a half stars. First time was a late lunch. It wasn't busy. We shared a fish sandwich and a Greek salad. Both food and service were good. Second visit, around 7 pm, again not busy. We got our order in quickly, and the server accepted our card for free chips and salsa. We added some chicken wings. Waited maybe 15-20 min. Wings (9 of them) were fine, nothing special but pricey for $19. Chips and salsa, terrible: a small tray of grease-laden chips with a half cup of tomato sauce with a couple of wan onion pieces in it. Tasted straight from a can. Price on the menu $12!! Honestly, how hard is it to chop some tomato, cilantro, fresh onion and add salt and lime? This place should be ashamed. While staying at the Bonnet Creek resort we decided to pop in for a quick dinner. The place was not busy at all, had two waiters, two bar keeps and a bus boy. The staff present was more than adequate for good service yet they failed. The waiter was friendly but just seemed uninterested in providing good service. After he took our order we promptly received drinks and had a bit of a longer wait than expected for food. Not once were we asked if we needed refills on drinks, not once were we asked how the food was. Our daughter asked for a side of fruit with her meal instead of fries which was forgotten about. When asked for the fruit our waiter remembered but then again forgot and when he finally brought it she was already nearly done. To top that off, we were charged extra for the fruit. We waited almost 25 minutes after completing our meals for the check and mind you that there was a total of 4 tables occupied at this time. Just poor service, sub-par food, and high prices. Then of course, gratuity is already included in the check which just incentivizes lack luster service. Really poor way for a resort to keep guests happy and coming back!!! read more

During our day wandering the resort, we decided to grab lunch at Back Bay Pool Bar and Grill. I'm rather picky with my food but I saw something on the menu that sounded decent. Our server was good; she came over pretty quick and got us waters. I ordered the Turkey Burger (had cranberry mayo and apple slaw on a brioche bun) with a side salad. The turkey burger was great but the bun was way too thick for the size of the burger. I ended up leaving it off. The cranberry mayo was barely there on both parts of the bun so you didn't get much of that flavor which was a shame. The burger was great as was the apple slaw on top. Very filling. Back Bay is an good place for drinks, but the food is overpriced and very average. The big attraction here is convenience. We stopped by Back Bay this evening in search of a laid back evening after a long day at the Disney parks. We got the $16 house burgers and fries for the adults and the $8 chicken tenders and fries for each of the kids. The way the very pleasant waitress talked up the burgers, I thought we'd be getting this amazing meal. But no, we got sad, below average burgers. Overcooked as well, unfortunately. The fries were pretty good though. Freshly made with a nice golden exterior. But $16 for good fries and a lousy burger kinda stinks. The kids liked their chicken and fries for what it's worth. The atmosphere was very chilled out. The tables overlook the lake at the resort, so you have a nice scenic view from most seats. The crowd was mostly young families with a couple of older couples mixed in. The noise level was good. Back Bay is decent as a meal spot for the lazy traveler. But this place would undoubtedly go out of business if it wasn't attached to a gigantic hotel complex with a captive audience. This restaurant was a pleasant surprise. Located on the Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort property, it has a beautiful view of the water and sunset at night. The servers were very kind and fun to talk to. We ordered the Pirates Punch, Mango Mai Tai, and Rosa Paloma. All drinks were wonderful. The Rosa Paloma does use a Smokey tequila which was very interesting. I love trying new drinks! For dinner we ordered the BBQ Bourbon Burger and Buffalo Chicken Wrap. Both were absolutely delicious. I was very pleased to see that this restaurant uses a full chicken breast in the wraps rather than chicken strips or chopped up chicken like other restaurants. This place has a Great Lake View, Pool view, and property views. Back Bay is nestled between two pools with indoor and outdoor seating options. We went around 5ish which was a perfect time to sit outdoors and enjoy the sunset. The menu is basic offering a few shareables/apps, some burgers, a few salads, desserts, and an abundance of beverages. Our table ordered the buffalo wings as a starter, then two turkey burger meals, kids slider meal, house burger meal, and chicken quesadilla. The food was bar food, what can you say. So it was nothing to wow us-it wasn't bad, just basic food. Wasn't able to capture pics as this was our first meal of the day after traveling all day. Yes, it's expensive. This is a high pressure sales resort located near Disney. I'm not sure why most of these reviews harp on that fact. Anyone who has been to Disney knows what they're in for. Is it worth the price? Yes, it is. You're in Disney. You might find cheaper food, but it won't be good. So... is it good? Yes, it is. I was pleasantly surprised. We started with chips and guacamole. The guac tasted super fresh and was seriously some of the best I've had. I got the Mediterranean Sandwich which has portobello mushrooms, red peppers, tomatoes, lettuce, and some kind of sauce. It was good. I asked for no tomatoes and fruit instead of fries. I got tomatoes and fries, but it was easy enough to pick off the tomatoes and when I asked our server for fruit he brought some right over and said it was complementary. So I got a side two-for-one. We were back in Orlando for the annual High School Cheer Championships and this year we stayed at the Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort. It is a huge and beautiful resort with 6 large towers. Back Bay Grill is right behind Tower 3. It is adjacent to a lovely pool (heated when it's cold) with areas for a pool side band. With an outdoor deck area, the main dining area is also open to the outside but they can put down large blinds and also use large heaters if it's too cold. There is a large bar that fills one entire side and tables throughout. The decor and furniture is nothing fancy. It's basically a nice poolside and outdoor eatery and their name is perfectly suited. It was a Thursday night so it wasn't busy at all when our party of about 8 arrived. We actually just seated ourselves by pulling a few tables together. Our waiter was very good. Cordial, friendly and attentive. He got our drink orders right out and kept our glasses topped all night. Food here (as well as any resort or park in Orlando) can be expected to be pricey. Back Bay is no exception. They had a simple did menu with different choices such as chips with guac, wings, tenders, fish n chips, a variety of salads, and of course a variety of burgers. I wasn't in an adventurous mood so I just ordered their regular House burger, but they also have a Bourbon BBQ, Teriyaki pineapple and a Turkey burger. The food seemed to take longer than usual. Not sure if it was because we had a large party or that's their normal. When it finally arrived my burger was room temp. The pepper jack cheese was already melted and also room temp. The lettuce, tomato and slices of red onion was fresh and the burger was nice and thick and tasted pretty good despite the temperature. The most disappointing for me however was the Brioche bun which was thick and rather dry to me. I opted for a side of onion rings which were nicely fried, tasted ok and unremarkable. For a $16 burger, my expectations were a little higher. Again it's a restaurant on resort grounds very close to Disney World. Back Bay is the restaurant by the pool and basically the only restaurant that was open for lunch on property when we arrived. The service was prompt, but not overly friendly. Now, I typically try to avoid eating on hotel property as much as possible since the food always tends to be overpriced and underwhelming, but we were starving and waiting for our room to be ready. The patio had a nice breeze and gave you a pretty view of the lake. We started with the guacamole and chips which actually was pretty good. The guac tasted fresh, and they give you enough to serve at least 4 or more people. My mom and I split the vegan veggie hummus wrap which was ok, a little on the bland side. (But I guess, what should I expect from a vegan veggie hummus wrap from a poolside restaurant? LOL) My son got the kids chicken fingers and fries, which was quite large for a kids meal. I guess that's why it was $9. As expected, it was pricier than it should be. It wasn't bad, but I would definitely prefer to eat elsewhere if I were back at this hotel. read more

This place is really surprising. It is a smaller pool/bar restaurant, however, excellent food. Normally these places offer fried food but they have some really good healthy options. The Swiss Mushroom Sandwich, which I ordered on a bed if lettuce, was very good. My husband had the Turkey Burger which was awesome. Typically places like this located at resort are completely hit or miss. This place is a definite hit. Frozen drinks were on point! Perfect for a hot day! I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with avocado and it was delicious. Roll was fresh, and the up charge for the fruit bowl instead of fries was a great choice! My husband ordered the back bay burger, and we were shocked that it came on 2 full donuts. I thought for sure the donut would be cut in half but was not the case. He loved it! They have a "To-Go" counter that was backed up like crazy! I stood on line for about 25 minutes only to learn that if I wasn't staying in that tower, I couldn't charge it to my room. I had to run all the way back over to tower 2 to get my debit card then wait another 15 minutes in line to order, then wait another 20 minutes for my food to be ready. Then when I finally say to in my pool chair to eat, the blackened fish sandwich was MUSHY AS HELL AND SALTY AS HELL. So much so that I didn't even want to taste it. I was so hungry that I simply forced myself to swallow without allowing the flavor to hit my tongue. Plus who wants mushy food? I also ordered a Grand Margarita which was supposed to have a floater but there wasn't any. Wasn't impressed at all. $78 dollars later and my family all said their lunch was mediocre at best. I was here recently visiting a friend and stopped by Back Bay for a drink and some food. What a great time we had! We immediately were seated outside under a canopy so that we had a nice shaded spot the whole time we were there. Definitely a plus on a hot Florida day. Our server brought waters out without question and smiled and gave us a great overview of the food and bar menu. I ordered a margarita and it came out within 5 minutes. It had a nice kick to it and the plastic cups are large, so even though you pay resort prices for alcohol, you don't feel like you're getting short changed. I had chips and salsa and the chips came out warm with food seasoning. The salsa was good too. 4 stars for a nice restaurant with great service. Decent little bar near the pool at Wyndham Bonnet Creek. I had the chips and guac. The guac had a nice flavor but it was slightly brown. The chips were just generic and had definitely been sitting out in the florida humidity. Some were definitely not the crispest. The highlight of my time here was the bamboo straw for my water. I hate to write a negative review but my group and I were seriously disappointed in the service and food we received from this restaurant. We were visiting from out of town and weren't in the mood to drive anywhere for dinner so decided to walk over to Back Bay from our room. Our server was unfriendly to the point that he took our orders without saying a word and skipped someone's order entirely by walking away until we called him back over. The food was awful. Someone in my group ordered a Caesar salad with chicken and their chicken came out rubbery and uncooked. The burger I ordered was unappetizing. I don't think anyone finished even half of their meals. When it came time to receive our checks, we asked to speak with a manager based on how poorly our food was prepared and the waiter said he was already planning on comping the chicken. If you KNEW the chicken was that disgusting, why even bring it out? I don't recommend this restaurant even if it is in close proximity to where you're staying. Make the trek to McDonalds or Chick Fil A but don't waste your time or money here. read more
