The World Cup matches were on, so there was lots of excitement in the area. The bar was in the indoor/ outdoor portion, so some humidity and heat creeped in. Don't waste your money here. We were a group of 12 locals celebrating a birthday and had a reservation for 9:00 p.m. We were told we wouldn't be seated until our entire party arrived, which was understandable. What wasn't understandable was standing around the crowded bar area for an hour and a half before finally being seated at 10:30 p.m. After waiting 90 minutes past our reservation time, we were seated at what was arguably the worst table in the restaurant--right next to the kitchen and directly in the path of a constant stream of staff walking behind us all night. Because we were a large group, food came out at different times. The couple at the opposite end of the table still hadn't received their entrées while the rest of us were already finishing ours. Eventually, we realized they had ordered chicken--the same dish some of us had received. When we brought it to our server's attention, she seemed confused. We asked to speak with a manager and were absolutely stunned by the response. What should have been a simple kitchen error turned into one of the most bizarre restaurant experiences I've ever had. Instead of apologizing for a missing entrée and finding a solution, management told us they had reviewed security footage and claimed members of our party had eaten our friends' meal. We were shocked. Not only was the accusation completely unfounded, but it was delivered as though we were somehow responsible for their mistake. Mistakes happen in restaurants. We would have understood that. What we couldn't understand was being blamed instead of receiving an apology or a solution. To this day, I'm still confused by how management thought that was an appropriate response. Adding to the frustration, at no point during the 90-minute delay or the entrée mix-up did management make any meaningful effort to communicate with our group, apologize for the inconvenience, or improve the experience. As for the food, it was mediocre at best and certainly not worth the wait. The only positive thing I can say is that the décor is beautiful. Unfortunately, between the excessive wait, poor service, lack of accountability, and being falsely accused of causing the restaurant's mistake, we definitely won't be back. read more

Mayami Wynwood is such a beautiful spot! I've seen videos of their dinner shows, and I promise I'll be going back soon to experience that for myself. This time, I went for a bachelorette party, and we had an amazing time. There is a $40 cover charge, but the cool part is they give it back to you in this fun fake money that you can use at the bar--you just tip the bartenders separately. The DJ was incredible and played a little bit of everything, keeping everyone on the dance floor all night long. I ordered the strawberry margarita, and hunny... when I tell you that cup was HUGE, I was shocked! It was so delicious that I ended up having two. If you're looking for a beautiful atmosphere, great music, strong drinks, and an unforgettable night out, Mayami Wynwood is definitely a spot worth checking out. The guacamole has a nice kick and is fresh, the chicken wings (4) are a must - savory flavor -- it's a sweet and spicy gochujang sauce; the short rib bao bun was a bit tough and small piece in a big bun; truffle fries were good and the Mayami sliders is a pass/skip because the bread is too hard/tough. I enjoyed my time at Mayami, the space has lots of seating and beautiful. They had fire dancers performing which was spectacular. The service was okay. I was dining with a group of about 16 people, everyone ordered drinks and a few ordered appetizers. I ordered El Filetto, it was so delicious, the cheese croquettes were nice and creamy and the mustard chimi on top was very flavorful. I also ordered the Lulo Me Crazy cocktail which was good. A typical Miami/Wynwood restaurant. Super dim, bumping music, elevated prices, and beautiful people. The vibe is super fun here I visited for dinner and saw that some tables were celebrating birthdays or bachelorette and they got the whole "bottle service" light up sign approach! I definitely recommend coming dressed to impress and not super casual. I saw a lot of women in the most beautiful in Miami-like dresses. As far as food? I wasn't too impressed. I found it to be overpriced (but usual for the Miami/Wynwood area) and very small although it wasn't bad. However, two individuals in my six person party received cold pasta. An experience! Whilst wondering through Wynwood, I stumbled upon this place and figured it was worth checking out. We were shown to our table and immediately given water and some chips (they're the size of a small circular taco) and a couple dips. They're still using QR codes, so no physical menu is present but is accessible online. The chips were tasty but the dips were to die for. Sadly, I don't remember what they were, but I def preferred the red one over the green one. Entree wise, I went with pollo criollo and it's some of the best tasting chicken I've ever had. The dish and its accompaniments (pumpkin gnocchi) were seasoned perfectly and the garnishments paired well with everything else. The highlight of my night aside from the great tasting food was the service from our server. She was so fun, had great energy and made great food/drink recommendations. My friends and I had a very fun time at Mayami. The music and food were great. We came here on a Saturday night for dinner and it was a vibe. It seems like a lot of people come here to celebrate bachelorettes and birthdays. I ordered the mayami truffle pasta and it was delicious. One of my friends is vegan and they were able to accommodate her dietary restrictions and she really enjoyed her meal. They also offer complimentary chips and salsa and their salsas were very good. Reservations were made at this restaurant for a party of 10, when we got there we still had to wait almost an hour to be seated. When we were finally given a table, it was tables they put together from the rain outside right in the middle of the walkway, between the bar and some other tables. It was positioned very awkward where ppl would keep passing by us to get to the bar. On top of that the chairs were still wet. We just requested a booth to seat us all, which they did. We had the opportunity to attend an event a Mayami in Wynwood. It's a beautiful place, tables on several levels, two bars, the roof open to the night sky. Service could not be better; we were carefully looked after. The drinks were great; if you like you espresso martini less sweet, they gladly make it without the Baileys (much better, thank you). We enjoyed the few bites we tried - the blue point oysters were fresh, the ceviche delicious (maybe a touch too much vinegar). What i liked is that everywhere is happy hour..it's not just secluded to the bar. Ambiance, is super indoor/outdoor Mayan type theme, but also classy . So relaxing and peaceful. Happy hour menu is really great and affordable. Drinks were 5$ and the margarita and mules were perfectly made. Sushi rolls were about 8$ each and quality and so worth it. They do bring some chips and dip for you to snack on while waiting for your food. Our waiter was so kind and nice with us. Everything was clearly understood. Hookah was 30$ on happy hour, it was good and they used coconut coals, however they don't change the coals unless you get a head change. But still worth it.. normal price is 70. This place is flat-out racist, and hiding behind a fake "dress code" doesn't change that. I was denied entry supposedly because of my outfit, yet every white person they let in was wearing the same style of clothing. Same vibe, same look -- no difference. What really exposed them? My brother was allowed inside, dressed almost exactly like me. Once inside, he immediately noticed what I already suspected: not a single Black person in the entire place. Not one. That says everything. This wasn't about clothing. This wasn't about rules. This was selective enforcement and discrimination, plain and simple. Went here on a random spontaneous night while at Wynwood and what a blast. This was my first time here joining for the club portion and it went great. Cover was $40 pp but were given bills to use at the bar for drinks. Loved the fact that it is also a restaurant before the start of the club and that it was indoors but also outdoors because of its retractable roof. I visited Mayami twice a few months apart. First for dinner to experience the nightlife and second for lunch with a friend. The shows at night are astonishing. They really know how to keep you entertained! However, because this place is usually always packed to the max, it's very hard for the servers to remain attentive and build rapport with each customer. Food: 6/10 Although there are a variety of food to choose from, there were a lot of items I did not get to try. The happy hour oysters were fresh but I feel like they needed some more flavor. Same thing with the shrimp. The shrimp ceviche was good and probably the best dish I had from them, that gets an 8 from me! Service: 6/10 The first time I came here was for a Valentine's day dinner so the place was packed and we had to wait over 20 minutes to be seated although we had a reservation. The hostess was nice and it totally wasn't her fault. Food took a long time to come out due to the kitchen being backed up but the drinks came out pretty fast! Due to the capacity, the servers did seem a bit stressed out because they were waiting so many tables and parties. I can understand why the servers weren't able to be attentive but Mayami could've done a better job at limiting reservations and walk-ins that night so they can focus on their quality of service rather than the amount of people they could get in. Drinks: 9/10 The drinks were amazing. The bartenders know what they're doing lol. They were strong and came out faster than any other item. Decor & Ambiance: 10/10 The decor is definitely beautiful. The entire place is aesthetically pleasing and great for photos and videos. The ambiance is truly a strength of theirs and it's a nice place for content creators to get some content. I decided to celebrate a family members birthday and was influenced by the Instagram reviews. The following are my subjective experiences: 1- Food is good but nothing to brag about. 2- The quantity is fair, but it could be a bit more. 3- The service is okay but could be better. 4- The restaurant itself is very pretty and gives you club vibes. 5- Unfortunately, the seats were a bit dirty because I found old used up straws and small pieces of food probably that was stuck inside the seats for a while. 6- The Valet charged me $30 on a Sunday 6:30 pm dinner. 7- Food prices don't justify the quality of food, but don't get me wrong because the food was good but not worth the amount being charged. 8- Now where I had a huge issue was the credit card fee of 3.9% which is insane! 9- Waitress and servers were pleasant but I think they can be more attentive to the customers. 10- Will I ever go back???? Not really because for the food prices, Valet prices and the freaking credit card fee of close to 4%, I can choose better restaurants in Miami. Mayami Wynwood is a great location to visit for the aesthetic. It's very lively with great music if you're into house music and a live fire performance that happens every hour on the hour and last about five minutes. I came here for a birthday dinner for my friend and I had the Mar Y Tierra and an expresso martini. Both were enjoyable and the expresso martini was very strong. Honestly be aware of all the surcharges because this alone will double the price of your bill not to mention the cost of parking. My meal came out to $51 but after all the surcharges I paid $70 and with parking $103. So just beware before you come here. The food was okay but I would recommend this location mostly for the experience. The service was good with the servers being very attentive to refill the water glasses and cleaning the table often of empty plates, wiping down spilled food, and cleaning up water from the condensation on our glasses. It was a lovely experience but I wouldn't be back to dine. I'd probably only go back for the experience. read more
