I have had a few issues recently with food having already gone bad once I've brought it home including some meat that already smelled rancid even before the best by date and a grab-and-go meal that had mold growing in it, so just try your best to check how things look as you're placing them in your cart (and most of the time, whoever has checked me out has been on top of checking the quality of my items for me too)- most things in Native Sun are fresh goods, so it's understandable that that type of thing can happen. And when I brought in the moldy item, they were super accommodating with letting me replace it, even without my receipt! Super appreciative that they care about their customers, the local community, and have just created such a lovely shopping environment that it actually makes grocery shopping enjoyable :)

Brightly colored, fun and they always take pride in their snoballs. Don't tell anyone back home in Baltimore, but these are the best snoballs I've had. The ice is perfect and Skylite flavor just takes me back to my youth. I'm always amazed at the care they take to layer the flavor and the marshmallow topping. It desperately needed attention. That changed with new ownership. Since taking over, the new owners have poured a tremendous amount of money, time, and effort into bringing this Jacksonville Beach landmark back to life. The transformation is incredible -- renovated and cleaned-up spaces, major improvements throughout the building, brand-new equipment throughout the operation, and a much stronger focus on cleanliness, food quality, customer service, and accountability. It feels like this location went from 0% to 100%. The employees I've encountered have been friendly, hardworking, and genuinely seem to care about keeping the restaurant clean and taking care of customers. You can tell someone is finally investing in this place instead of simply letting it survive. If you had a bad experience here years ago and wrote this Dairy Queen off, give it another chance. This is not the same Dairy Queen you may remember. Jacksonville Beach has had Dairy Queen on this corner for generations, and it is great to see someone finally putting serious effort and money into making it a place the community can be proud of again. They did have a military discount; however, if you don't get what you paid for, what's the point, right? It was a cute little shop with donuts, shakes, and ice cream. The donuts are not traditional donuts; more like deep fried donut holes that are covered with all kinds of yummy toppings. They're also served nice and hot and in 10 packs. They had lots of cool donut flavors like: Dark Delight, Maple Bacon, , White Tella, and Love U Matcha, The prices range from $8.75 to $9.50 per box. They all sounded yummy; but we decided on Twix Fix, drizzled with caramel, melted chocolate, and cookies, and Lotus Crunch, which was topped with melted Biscoff cookies. Our order was ready in about 5 minutes and the bag of donuts was nice and warm. We ate them when we got back home. They were more chewy and heavier than regular donut holes, but rich and delicious. You could really only eat a few; so a box of 10 is a decent sized dessert for 2 people to share. Lukumades is definitely a very unique donut experience and worth supporting because they're not a huge chain. You'll be glad you tried them....and its worth the drive.
