While it didn't have the absolute most reviews of any insurance broker, the reviews Options Insurance does have--across Yelp, Google, and Reddit--indicate a strong reputation for customer satisfaction. And that's been our experience since working with our agent, Tippy Sourignavong. From the jump, Tippy demonstrated deep knowledge of insurance products (including terms and conditions that I found confusing), patience (in explaining the differences between policies), and responsiveness (often getting back to me within minutes for any question I had). She found us the best deal among insurers to cover our home, car (and later an additional car), and umbrella insurance from AAA; better than I could have found on my own. Before renewing this year, Tippy reached out, letting me know that she cross shopped my existing coverage across all the insurers and found us a better deal, saving us hundreds this year. She also flagged that insurers by and large were moving away from replacement cost value (RCV) to actual cost value (ACV) for roof replacements, which isn't as good, but out of her hands. Of course she only said this once I reached out and said I was unhappy working with the new agent. However before this, I was never notified about this nor was this updated on my insurance policies because they all stated that Keri was still my agent. Anyway the inexperienced colleague tried to convince me to stay with my current insurance company even though the roof deductible was more than doubled than the previous year and didn't even cover roof replacement. DON'T RECOMMEND Options Insurance, poor customer service and they don't have the best interest for you, the customer.

So we were blamed by State Farm claims agent Dawn Stuart for an accident that wasn't our fault. We were in the center lane and the left lane was ending and this truck slammed into us side swiping our whole car. The truck lied and said we came from the right lane. The trooper lied too. The trooper wasn't there. If we were merging too, our whole left side of our car wouldn't of been side swiped. Unless we were in front of the truck, but he was in front of us and was when the trooper came. We would of hit at the front fender otherwise. Not to mention the guy admitted we honked at him & my husband has blind spot monitoring and it would of beeped at him if he were about to hit someone. If we didn't see the guy my husband wouldn't of honked. Dawn Stuart said that the right lane was also ending. I had a picture on StateFarm.com showing that there's a right lane and a center lane and that the right lane didn't end into the center lane. We got blamed 50% for the accident and have to pay our $500 deductible. My husband got a dash cam now. I just recently got a letter saying that I got half a point on my record for an accident I was re-ended in. They were going to cancel my policy. Tom got that straightened out and they're not canceling me now. Tom is actually a really nice guy and their office is pretty decent. Much better than the Inver Grove office. My problem is the State Farm claims department. When State Farm was going to cancel me and I was shopping for new insurance, State Farm claims marked 3 accidents on our record as a claim and didn't indicate that they were hit and runs and the re-end I had. So when I was shopping for new insurance, they wanted like $600 a month because they thought my husband was at fault for 5 accidents and me 3 in the last five years. State Farm cooperate couldn't straighten out our record. I had to call Lexus Nexus and dispute it and I'm still waiting the 30 days for them to straighten it out. Thank God I'm not being canceled now. My husband talked to Shane about us being canceled. Shane was interrupting my husband & arguing with him. He was saying that we were going to be canceled before this last accident because our claims and our claims from towing. He was saying he warned us if we had one more accident we'd be cut off which he did not. Obviously that wasn't true. And this last accident wasn't our fault. I actually talked to Shane about being blamed for this last accident and potentially being cut off and he said they won't cut us off because we have an umbrella policy, renters, jewelry, and 2 cars. He said our rates might not even be raised for the 50%. Which is why I didn't switch. State Farm never told us that towing counted against us. Obviously towing is not our fault. We have AAA now. I'm still pissed that Dawn Stuart blamed us 50% for an accident that wasn't our fault and that State Farm has our record screwed up so we can't get other insurance. But State Farm has been very fair to us in the past and since they're not canceling us now I'm just going to stay with them. I can't get other insurance until they straighten out our record anyhow. It sounds like State Farm has a lot of claims representatives. I hope we never get into an accident again, but if we do, it doesn't sound like we'll run into the horrible Dawn Stuart again. I used them to get my Medicare and supplemental insurance as well as my husband's private medical insurance through MNSure. Not only did I not get the dental I thought I had signed up for, the agent took my kids off the application under my husband and they lost their insurance! I've spent months trying to correct this on my own which is impossible since it's going between two systems (MNSure and the county) which is why I wanted their help in the first place. They washed their hands of me and surprise! The agent who messed up doesn't work there anymore!! Oh but if you want to rent blow up bouncy houses, he has those. He was much more focused on that than his JOB! I'm disabled and needed help. I can not recommend them to ANYONE!
