Bottom row is all in-house made beef sticks. Lots of options for meat from chicken, pork, beef, elk, venison. They have options.

This place has a great quality, selection and variety of meats. We love their house made beef sticks and jerky. Great prices. Been coming here for years. They sell all sorts of eggs at a decent price too. They also sell the brat of the day so if you're looking for a glow up to Costco's hotdog, grab a warm brat for a quick bit. Service is great and the ambiance is that of a small town butcher with options to keep you coming back for more. Maybe a weekend grill with some tables outside would be a nice addition to what they offer..... just saying.

Painted hills ribeye, filets and t-bone. Delicious!

Amazing selection of the best cuts! Super friendly staff who care about customers! They take the time to care about what you are trying to order but at the same time there is a systematic way of checking out that is speedy and fun when you tip! Love it!

$9.30 for 16oz - it's not 16oz

I've been coming here for years and like their product but noticed prices have gone up. Inflation, I get it. More expensive than the other local meat market. What made me give 3 stars is that they have their ground beef pre wrapped. It's supposed to be a pound. And it's $9.30 a pound. It looks quite small so I took it home and weighed it myself. Sure enough it's not a pound. 15.2oz and 15.6oz. To my knowledge a pound is 16oz. I know it's off by a little but if I'm paying for a pound I'd like to get a pound. Maybe our scales are off who knows but just doesn't look like a pound even by the eye. But I had already bought it. I'll know for next time.

Friendly family owned meat market close to Vancouver. Lots of options and friendly staff.

Mayers does have good meat, but that doesn't offset the areas it's lacking. The store isn't laid out well, so it's a bit chaotic when you are trying to get service. It used to be more open, but they added unnecessary shelving right when you come in. A peeve of mine is the tipping (and the tequila cheer), this seems excessive, especially since they just raised their prices 20% since my last visit. I will be researching other options for a new butcher shop.

Oh my! Calling all MEAT and smoked Cheese fans! Of course they have so much more. Lets start with parking they have plenty but it does get full fairly fast but back parking is right next door. Walking into the store I was instantly excited. It was from all the Jerky, sausage link, and Steak. I wanted to check everything out so I went to right so i could end on the left near the cash register. I ended up with Garlic SMoked Sausage Flank Steak Sweet and Spicy Jerky Hot Jerky smoked cheese and beef jerky sticks I wanted so much more but i decided to make it so I had to stop back by, The Jerky was the Absolute Best I ever had. First all I didnt know Jerky could be soft and chewy! jk I want to come back just for jerky! Nice portions and it is sold by the pound. I can't wait to come back to this place! I

Things are bad enough already without adding to the chemical cesspool we call food. This place had real fresh cuts and they looked amazing. Their roasts and steaks were any size you wanted, and fresh sausage made onsite. I had one of their teriyaki beef sticks and it blew me away. No grease fillers or odd looking parts, just excellent beef and spices. I highly recommend you try them. This is now my go-to spot for all poultry, pork, and beef going forward. We recently purchased a smoker and were so excited to smoke some meat on the upcoming weekend. We decided on buying meat from a butcher to smoke. Looked up nearby places on the internet, and the only one open near us was Top Choice Meats. They received great reviews, so we decided to give them a shot. They're located in a strip mall with plenty of parking available. We were greeted as we walked in (always a good sign). The inside was very clean and organized. The young lady who helped us was super helpful and knowledgeable with all questions asked. We decided on a brisket, but the one in the case was around 8 lbs, which was way too big for just the two of us. She offered to cut it in half. Perfect! We got home, made a rub, and smoked it for about 4 hrs on 250°. Once the internal temperature reached 195°, we removed it to let it rest for about an hour. We sliced it and wow, oh wow, it was outstanding! The flavor of the meat was amazing. We were very happy with our first smoke. Since our first visit was great, we came back this weekend for steak and brats! We would definitely recommend this butcher. We look forward to trying more cuts of meat in the future.

Odd, as we were not in festive dress, but it was my partners birthday! He was cutting some amazing ribeye, and that's what we were looking for--he said he got us, and wow. Take a look at those steaks! Selection is good! But, a small place can't be expected to have 100s of items, but everything is carefully chosen and fresh. I'll be back for those oxtails for sure! Also, there was a very wonderful lady there with her fresh baked goods, not sure if that's a regular thing or or a pop up, but shout out to the strawberry pound cake. This is now going to be our regular spot for great meats! As far as price goes, I would say competitive with Gartner's and even some groceries, but this place is special, so you get what you pay for. Oh, and there's a big parking lot in the back, which is great on the busy street.

My biggest disappointment was finding out that the two items that caught my attention on Yelp--the brisket mac and cheese and the tacos--were only available during happy hour. I even offered to pay the regular menu price for either item, but was told I'd have to come back during happy hour if I wanted to order them. Instead, I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with a side of mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was excellent and easily the highlight of the meal. The pulled pork sandwich was decent, but the flavor felt a little flat and could have used more seasoning. I was also surprised there wasn't any salt and pepper on the table, so if that's something you like, be sure to ask for it. Overall, the food was good and the service was good. While I enjoyed the experience, it's probably not a place I'd go out of my way to visit again, though I'd stop in if I was already in the area.

It is as though you take a step back in time, where customer service mattered and you have a butcher who cares. It doesn't matter if you get a greenhorn meat cutter or the Owner you treated the exact same with respect. They still use the take a number from the roll method. It doesn't matter the day, it doesn't matter how busy they are you are always treated like the only person in the market. Their breakfast sausage loose or in links is fantastic. I haven't found a better flavored sausage anywhere. Any of their smoked meats are to write home about. We like their soaked beef short ribs. Have your grill HOT and be ready to grill with those ribs. Their habanero BBQ sauce is delicious spicy good. If It's meats you want! it is meats Gartners delivers. I could go through each item in the cases from the ham to the brisket and tell you why each thing is better than the next!! I recently started vising a meat store by my work. I got some sausages. I was excited to find a quality local meat market in the Portland area, especially given how few dedicated butcher shops remain. Unfortunately, I feel obligated to share a recurring issue that has left me questioning whether I will continue shopping here. On my visit today, it appeared that I was overcharged again. If this had happened only once, I would have assumed it was a simple mistake. However, this is now the fourth time in a row that I've encountered what I believe to be an overcharge, and at least twice it has involved the same employee. On two previous occasions when I noticed the discrepancy and brought it to the butcher's attention, he reviewed the transaction, acknowledged the error, apologized, and issued a credit. Because of those experiences, I felt confident that mistakes could happen and would be corrected. Today, however, when I raised a similar concern, my concern was explained away. I didn't have time to ask that everything be reweighed, so I left feeling frustrated and, unfortunately, taken advantage of. To be clear, I have generally found the staff to be friendly and professional, and I've been consistently happy with the quality of the products. That's what makes this issue so disappointing. When the same type of billing discrepancy happens repeatedly, it becomes difficult to view it as an isolated mistake. I sincerely hope this is the result of a training or process issue rather than anything intentional. Gartner's has a good product and fills an important niche in the community. However, after experiencing this multiple times, I am seriously reconsidering whether I can continue shopping here with confidence.
