I can't say enough amazing things about Mayfair Bridal. Every single experience I had there was amazing. Anjelica was incredible at knowing my styles that I was looking at beforehand and pulled five amazing dresses. I never thought I wanted a veil, but I am so happy that in the middle of me saying how much I didn't wow when she slid one right into the back of my head, I was sold after that! I went to more times for alterations in the women and staff there are so welcoming and nice. I decided to make an appointment here last minute since I had seen plenty of great reviews and lovely photos of their beautiful dresses and thought I'd give it a shot. It was the first and only appointment I made this far and in all honesty I feel as though I hit gold. The options were broad and of all price range, I was immediately helped by Angelica and was so impressed at the way she accommodated not only my price range but the style I was going for. She had great suggestions and a very kind and helpful demeanor. I can tell she truly does what she loves and cares about all of her customers, I felt so welcomed!! I stepped into Mayfair Bridal two weeks before walking down the aisle, with a horribly tailored wedding dress sitting in a alteration shop. On the verge of tears, I explained my situation to the women who were working. They reassured me, my concerns, and asked some questions about what my vision was. Before I could take a deep breath to keep my composure, they presented me with my future dress. My spirit and hope were immediately restored. My mom and I had an entire day of appointments at different bridal salons. After going to 3 different places I was tired and just didn't feel up for trying on anymore dresses. We drove by Mayfair and decided to just stop on in. They were very welcoming! We didn't have an appointment but even though they were busy they said if I wanted to try anything on to let them know and they would squeeze me in. I didn't have any specific type of dress in mind but knew certain details that I wanted. The lady helping us out said she would look for dresses she thought I would love. I recently got married and I got my dress from Mayfair bridal they were really helpful and really nice The only thing is the price was a little on the expensive side I had to order lace separately from my dress that turned out they didn't even use but still charge me for it and that's not including the alterations on top of that this is where it got expensive, the price for the dress that I paid for I could understand because it's a wedding dress I expected to spend about that amount for the dress but any additional's or anything that I needed to do to it it was really up there, as for the time of having everything done by my wedding trip it was superb everything was done in the nick of time and ever visit was great, the ladies we super helpful and patient with me too...... Mayfair Bridal was my first stop in dress shopping. Unless a dress was just screaming my name I was planning to go to other appointments before making a decision. I came in with a vague idea of what I thought I wanted, and Trish started me off with those. She was paying attention the whole time and asked what I liked/didn't like about each dress. Each new round she brought out got better and better. I found a good candidate but again wanted to try on at other places. She knew it was my first time and was very understanding of this. She scheduled a follow-up for two days later in case I wanted to come in after the others. I'll be honest-a couple of the other places I visited felt similar to being in a used car dealership. In general everyone was nice but REALLY wanted to make a sale at THAT appointment. I totally get it-the moment a customer walks out the door without buying you will likely never see them again. But Mayfair was just a different experience. Trish really stepped back and let my mom and I do most of the talking about our thoughts on the dresses instead of over-flattering every time I walked out. I eventually bought an off the rack dress the next day. They called themselves a "sister store" to Mayfair Bridal and if that's true then it must mean the organization top-down has those type of values. I found them by searching a designers site, and I am so glad I did!! Trish asked me to show her some gowns that I had previously tried on and she pulled several gowns from there. The first one I tried on I loved but it wasn't 100% what I wanted. I tried on a couple more then she went out one last time and found the one!! It's perfect! She was so sweet and made me feel great in all of the dresses. Trish was my favorite consultant to work with (went to two other bridal salons before ending here)!! I had my sister and best friend with me and two small kids (which I do not recommend!) but they accommodated us all and didn't even mind the wild children - thank goodness I was the only bride in the store at the time! Mayfair Bridal is not your typical salon that you see on Say Yes to the Dress. It is a hidden cove of wedding dresses that fill the small space located in the shopping mall located close to the SA Airport. This small space might seem lackluster, but what they lack in space, they make up in product, price and service. Any bridal store you go to on a weekend is going to be swamped, so as a bride, schedule yourself some alone time with Angelica and go during the week. Not only do they allow you the freedom to really look in the shop, but they are patient enough to allow you to have your bridal dreams come true. I found my perfect dress within the first 4 I tried on, and had it custom made for me with a shorter train, and a corset back instead of zipper. I loved the results! They are still holding my dress that I bought a year ago, which is a nice perk for me, because I know it is in safe keeping. Tomorrow I go back for my first dress fitting, and they offer 2 complimentary dress pressings, and alterations for a total of $250. (Not that it has to add up to that... but it is a relief that I will NOT have to pay a cent more than that.) Overall, if you want a dress to make you extra glam, and you want people who honestly care about you looking your best, (And not making commission) I HIGHLY recommend going to Mayfair. I had the worst experience with the dress I purchased from here and they did absolutely nothing about it. I was the maid of honor at my sisters wedding and the clasp at the top of my dress fell off which had my whole back showing because the zipper would not hold once the clasp was broken. Multiple people tried helping me throughout the night with safety pins and it would not hold and the zipper kept coming down. I missed so much of the wedding and pictures that were taken because of this. it was so upsetting. I called Mayfair bridal and spoke to MayKlein which is the manger there. She told me to send pictures of the damage and she would show her supervisor in which the supervisors name can't be disclosed for some apparent reason which is very shady to me and she would give me a call back. I never got a call back, I had to call them back only for the "supervisor" to say that she saw no damage to the dress and can't do anything about it after I had sent 5-6 pictures of the dress damaged. I can't believe this is the way they would handle this and treat their customers after knowing what I went through on such a special occasion and how much I missed due to their dress. By no means was this dress tight on me. It zipped perfectly on and clasped easily. The clasp just had to be damaged. I will never purchase from there again and I would advise anyone to do the same. This was horrible customer service and a nightmare for me at the wedding. On top of all this they charged my sister and I a rush order fee saying that our dress won't come in on time if we didn't and it came in a month earlier smh. If it weren't for falling in love with another dress at another boutique, I would 100% of bought here just for the customer service they provided. Teresa was great! I walked in almost 45 minutes early to my appointment expecting to wait but she immediately greeted me with a smile and went right to work with me hunting for a dress. She listened to my wants and style and even gave me some options that were similar to my style but a different brand than I thought I would like. Yes, the space is small and yes, it is a little cluttered with dresses but being this was my first dress appointment and from what I've seen on tv (say yes to the dress), it wasnt anything I was surprised with. If you've ever seen that show and see the consultants going to the back stock room and looking through the rows of dresses....thats what this place is like. I personally appreciate that because I would much rather be hands on in choosing out my own dress then giving that responsibility to the consultant solely. I didnt have a huge entourage (just my MOH and I) but I can see a big group getting overwhelmed especially is there are multiple appointments going on at the same time. Also, they have about 4 dressing rooms right next to each other and one area where all 4 brides come out, which means all the groups are seated together. This, I was not a fan of. I wanted a more private experience and when I would come out, I felt like the other brides groups we're sizing me up. Not quite the idea I had when choosing my wedding dress out but ALL the consultants pay compliment to you or put their input in which is nice. I'd rather have that than a blank stare from a stranger. Lastly, I came to Mayfair exclusively for a line they carried that I couldn't find at a lot of other bridal stores in the area. They carry Maggie Sottero which was great but still had a few other brands that were similar in style and from designers all over the world. The selection was fairly large which was great and in larger sizes in samples to try on which means they actually fit me! This was an issues at other places I went to being that wedding dresses do run small and when your trying to fit your pear shaped body in a trumpet or mermaid style dress and the dress has absolutely no stretch, it can be a task in itself. Overall, If I wouldn't of fallin' in love with another dress, I would of bought here based on the 4-5 other places I had gone to over the weekend. read more

Before coming here I had literally been to about 12 other bridal shops and every time I went in I would ask for a specific type of dress and end up getting shown dresses that were not even what I was looking for. I was to the point where I was getting fed up with searching for a dress. When I came to Mayfair bridal I told them exactly what I was looking for and they showed me several dresses they were all in the style I wanted as well. On my first visit the lady I was working with asked me if I would like to come back because they had several other dresses I may be interested in so I agreed since I didn't find a dress that caught my attention at that point. On the second visit I actually found two dresses I was interested in and I finally picked my dress. Once I chose the dress Mayfair bridal held it for me until it was closer to the date. I came in 3 different times for alterations and each time I addressed any issue Angelica was on it! The end result was perfect! I purchased my gown in Austin, and wish I bought it from Mayfair! I was so in love with my gown, but the customer service I received in a major Austin boutique was incredibly lackluster and pretty disappointing for what this experience should be. Anyway! I was given a recommendation of a not so well reviewed place for alterations by said Austin bridal shop, only to do my own research and find that Mayfair sounded well worth the hour drive. I only had a few weeks left before my wedding, with a heavily beaded ballgown that needed major alterations, and from the moment I walked in the door Theresa made me feel welcome and her and the additional seamstress seemed 100% confident they could fix my dress and in the exact time frame we needed. They did and completely made my wedding what it was! I felt beautiful and my dress fit me like a damn princess. Thank you SO much to the entire staff at this fabulous little bridal shop! read more

This bridal shop has a good selection of dresses and seemingly good customer service when you walk in but don't be fooled. Everything was going great until my bridesmaids decided to get their dresses from the store (which is $$$). They charge premium prices but fell completely short after they took our money. 1. Did not deliver the dresses on time: Although we came a little late to the game, my bridesmaids picked out their dresses in early February for my wedding on April 22. The owner assured me that she can "rush ship" the dresses for an upcharge on 65$ and the dresses would be there well in advance so alterations could be done. Needless to say, the wedding was 3 weeks away and we haven't heard a thing. It was very stressful and each time we called we received vague answers about when they would arrive. They finally arrived with one week to go...and they were the wrong length. (see below) 2. Dresses were ordered in the wrong length without our knowledge, and she still made us pay for the alterations!! The owner promised that the dresses my bridal party picked out came in a short and long length and there shouldn't be a problem getting them in short length in time. They ensured us that if they were not able to order the shorter length that they would call my ladies to let them know. We didn't hear anything from the shop so we assumed that everything went well and our dresses would arrive how we wanted them. In addition to arriving much much later than they originally stated, they came in long. The owner assured me that she "left me a message" telling me she wasn't able to get the dresses in the shorter length. And to make matters worse, she still made me ladies pay for the alterations to make them short. There was no apology about their mistake. TL;DR This place is not honest. They will make promises to earn your business that they cannot keep. And once they have you locked in, they will nickel and dime you to death. Super disappointed. read more

To be honest, the inside nearly deterred me when I walked in- a face lift is desperately needed. However, they really had a great selection of gowns (and that's really all I was there for!) at pretty decent prices. The associate helping me was absolutely the sweetest but there was defiantly a language barrier. I gained so much weight between buying the dress and the fitting time (hey, it only takes about 5 pounds to make that dress not fit!) hat it became necessary to get the dress in another size. They were able to get me another and just charge shipping and restock fee. They did a good job with the alterations and when I told them that I was not pleased with something, they fixed it for me to a satisfactory level. I was probably more difficult than most brides, and they worked very well with me and were always curteous. read more

After reading so many wonderful reviews for this Bridal Salon, I dropped in to check it out for my daughter and hopefully make an appointment. As promised there were lots of dresses but very crowded. This is a very small space. My issue with this salon was that they totally ignored me. I looked around when I first came in and then found a place near the desk, but after spending about 10-15 minutes hovering around the desk area no one approached me. However, someone came in the door after me and was immediately welcomed. There was someone at the desk on the phone and then someone else walked up to the desk, but never said a word to me or even made eye contact. As the mother of the bride (who usually pays for the dress) I would have thought I would have been a welcome guest. This makes me think the reviews given are fictitious at best. First the pro's. They have a VERY large selection. There were a lot of dresses and all at a very good price point. Staff was ok. Not overly friendly but willing to help out as needed. Now the con's.... The large selection is too much for the store. It was impossible for me to look through the dresses. I had to tell the stylist what I wanted and hope that we were on the same page. It is also not intimate at all. Everyone was in the same area so I felt like I had to share my big day of shopping with everyone else in the store. I had an appointment here last weekend and it was a great experience! Theresa was amazing. Friendly, knowledgeable, patient and great to laugh with. I tried on dresses that were beautiful but had details I was not in love with and she understood all my strange comments and requests (which is a miracle-as my feedback on dresses ranged from laughter when I saw myself in the mirror, to things like 'this front part looks like wings' and 'the fabric needs to be stiffer'). Somehow she converted all my comments into data to find me the perfect dress and was complimentary but not at all pushy as I twirled in the dress forever in the salon and had to leave and come back an hour later to be sure it was the one and try it on all over again and twirl around some more. During the hour that I was gone, she was busily at work making some small adjustments to the gown as I'm sure her experience and intuition told her I would be back for it. She sewed in an extra little hook above the zipper and hid the hanging loop with her seam-stressing skills so that the dress can be hung but the loop is not visible behind the train when wearing it. Wonderful service. She also was wonderful at finding a dress within my budget. The dress fit perfectly and needs no alterations so I got to take it home immediately where I will admire it for the next six months until my wedding. The rest of the staff that I met was also welcoming, friendly and gave me feedback on the dresses which was helpful. read more

The wedding process can be stressful and Mayfair helps relieve some. With Mayfair's help, I was able to find my dream dress. I did not want a dress that other people might wear, such as from David's Bridal. The shop is small but has many gems. Mayfair works with you to get exactly what you want. They carry unique and traditional dresses. All their dresses are for the most part reasonable, or as reasonable a dress from Spain or another country can be. I do suggest though where ever you buy your dress, be sure to incorporate cost for alterations and extra details. I ended up spending $500 more for custom details. I went to a few salons but this place offered the best selection, price and service. Do not let the location fool you; they have a really good selection. The shop is small, but I only took my sister so we were fine but there is not room for big groups. Also, they will store dress and do alterations on site for you. I bought my dress there for an outdoor wedding in 2013 but it turns out my cousin had bought her dress there about 15 years ago for a catholic wedding. I had a great experience in this place, ever since my first appointment I was greeted nicely by Jazmin, she was great with me and my bridesmaids and helped me try MANY dresses of the style I was looking for. I have to say I did go to other bridal stores after this place to try out different ones but I had a feeling I had to come back here again. In my second appointment I fell in love with a new dress from Allure that had JUST come in. They took if off the mannequin for me to try and thats the dress I ended up choosing for my wedding. Everything from placing the order to alterations I was treated cordially, and even the owner answer some of the questions I had when doing my last tryouts for alterations. We found a gown at our first appointment, and came to Mayfair to see if there was anything my daughter loved more. There were 2-3 that she liked, but as we sat over lunch comparing pictures, she decided the dress at the first appointment was the one for her. The seating area at Mayfair is small, and could get crowded if more than 2 brides are shopping at one time. And the dresses are in their plastic bags, which makes it a bit more challenging to look at them. But I want to recognize them for working with my daughter, helping her with her decision. I went to Mayfair Bridal for my prom dress in 2009. After being promised a dress at Edwards near Northstar and it never coming in I was a severely distraught 18 year old. My mother suggested Mayfair seeing as they carried the line my dress was in and we went. The staff was immediately helpful and they quickly checked the database and found that my dress was available and in my size. For cheaper then Edwards price they ordered my prom dress and had it in store in less than a week. Alterations were done the next week and my prom a week after that. Seriously, they were quick, efficient, and amazing. Now I'm about to check them out for a second time as I look for my wedding dress! Try Mayfair! You won't regret it!!! read more
