I chose up to 5 dresses online (make sure they are in SA), scheduled apt, $10 deposit per dress. Deposit will go towards my purchase or loss if I didn't take a dress. My bestie had an appt to try on dress on a Sunday morning. There was only one other bridal party in the facility which was nice because it wasn't crowded at all. We were paired with Alyssa and Alice who both did a phenomenal job helping my friend narrow down details to find the perfect dress. We had no idea that she could or would pick a dress just on the first day looking, but Alyssa and Alice made the process so so fool-proof and really we're attentive to my friends likes and dislikes. The facility is beautiful, clean, and they have an amazing variety of dresses. You are certain to find your dream dress! The ONLY thing that my friend and I both agreed is that Alyssa talks WAYYYYYY too fast. Some parts of our time with her felt rushed, especially the end when we were getting ready to sign and pay. While the entire experience was very pleasant, the last part felt like "okay, you got your dress, let's get out of here." My friend and I were baffled and had no idea what she was even saying while she was reading the contract so we were sure to get a copy of the contract to read it through. I want to first start off by saying each of the ladies that run this place are SO awesome, very kind and warm hearted. There is a ton of space for different parties to be trying on dresses at once but it still feels SUPER intimate. Which I think is important for this part. I was told to arrive 15 minutes before the appt; fine, my group was not taken until 15 minutes after the appt. WTF. But as soon as I met Lilly, I knew this was going to be a waste of time. From her rehearsed welcome spiel, to her "tour" at rapid fire verbiage, to her not listening to what I wanted and selections that didn't have any of the elements I wanted, to her insinuating that I wasn't helping by being hung up on a dress I tried on elsewhere. Yes, you need to beat that dress and you didn't. I had high hopes for this place, which did come highly recommended. What a let down. Your experience with your bridal salon does not end the day you say "yes", if it did, then this would be a four or five-star review. I'm taking one star off for communication. I understood per the payment fine print that sometimes the estimated arrival date is just an estimate. What I did not anticipate was for the arrival date to go and come with no phone call, email, etc about what was happening. The dress was estimated September '24. My dress arrived on November 3rd for my November 13th wedding. I had to call in early October asking for an update and got nothing other than "we will let you know". Another star off for professionalism, when my mother personally went to the store in very early November for anything more of an update than "it will be here", she was told it was "normal" to not have the gown three weeks out. Anyone in the wedding industry knows that is not true. Again, all update inquiry correspondence coming from our end, not theirs. Finally, one star off for the rushed work their alterations team did. They offered to comp the alterations after the wait and stress they put me through, but I wish I had just taken my gown and left because the rushed hem work caused my gown to "flip" upwards due to the poor hem job. I did notice it at the final fitting and they did "hot press" it which did nothing but I was so over it at that point that I just had them bag it up so I could find another solution. I was so lucky to have an amazing friend who was able to correct it. My friend let me know that no "hot press" would've corrected the issue. It was simply a poor, rushed job. (My final fitting ended up being November 5th, with a November 7th pick-up, giving my friend just one week to correct their work) I will give credit that the shopping experience was fun and special and the selection is great if you love drama and glitter like I do. However, no one should have to question if their dream dress will arrive and have to hunt down real answers the way I did. I value honesty so much and if they were transparent from the get-go, maybe this would be a different review. I just wish when I ordered the gown in April I knew what journey was ahead of me. I feel like the "taking your gown home and knowing it's waiting for you in a closet" is such an irreplaceable type of memory I don't have because I spent what should've been my final fitting months wondering if it was going to arrive at all. read more

Olivia Grace Bridal - botched hemeven after "press" - Bridal Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

I am writing this review as a Maid of Honor strictly about the post-alterations experience at Olivia Grace Bridal. The try-on and buying process as well as the first fitting were satisfactory experiences. The out-of-town (300+ miles) bride purchased a beautiful Maggie Sottero gown in September. Her first fitting was on January 6 with a second scheduled for January 27. Due to tragic circumstances, the bride was unable to attend the second fitting. I was tasked with collecting the gown from alterations. Once the gown was tried on in the bride's home, we discovered several inexcusable mishaps with the alterations. There are issues with the trim, inconsistencies with straps, twisted boning and more. An email with photos was sent to the shop with a request for resolution and/or compensation. I was contacted by the owner, Razil, within 24 hours to request that we speak on the phone regarding the issue. Razil expressed sympathy for the tragedy surrounding the bride, then quickly began to speak about herself and how much she values her reputation as a business owner. She told me that she opened her alterations department 6 years ago and that her team serviced 756 brides in 2023. She mentioned that the person who completed our alterations has over 40 years of experience. Razil explained that most of the flaws in the photos were because the bride "was not properly dressed" - knowledge that only comes from in-house training and lessons at a final fitting. She proceeded to offer a justification for each flaw. When asked if she was proud of the work that her team presented, Razil danced around the question and did not provide a clear answer. The non-answer spoke volumes. The call ended with the resolution that the bride would be reimbursed for the alterations. Razil requested that I email her the bride's credit card information because she did not have the ability to reimburse without it. The alternative was a check, so we agreed that the check would be sent that day along with an email confirming the send. I never received that confirmation, nor did I receive a response to two subsequent follow up emails. When the bride did receive the check, her last name was spelled incorrectly. A follow up email to Razil was answered by her accounting assistant/husband, Luke, with an offer to send payment via Zelle or expedite the shipping of a new check. The replacement check arrived within the week with no error. Although our experience may be a rare find with Olivia Grace Bridal, I cannot in good faith recommend that you spend hundreds of dollars on alterations at this boutique. The absence of quality control, poor attention to detail, and lack of professionalism have only amplified a tragic situation. Save yourself the stress of uncertainty and take your gown elsewhere for alterations. read more

a couple of thoughts: I had thought my appointment reservation had gone through, but it didn't since I was out on a ranch waaay in the middle of nowhere with meh WiFi and service. These girls could have very easily said no, but thankfully they had a cancelation and they got me into a fitting room. My consultant was amazing! She showed me how their dresses are organized, asked questions on style and wedding ideas, and I never felt awkward around her (which is totally not the case for me 99% of the time). Because of her advice, I tried on a dress I NEVER thought I'd want or even like, and I ended up falling in love with it! Oh! And holy cow she was a pro at the dress clippy things! It didn't feel rushed at all! We took our time going through the racks. She gave me enough time to actually wear the dresses and gauged my reaction to them. Let me wear them as long as I needed to, so I could really see how they looked on me. And the dress selection was ON POINT! So many different styles and fits. Clean. Welcoming. Very sweet staff. Honestly, I can't think of anything I wasn't happy with! First shop. Fourth dress. Done. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOUTIQUE! Bought my daughters' wedding dress here, and everything seemed great until her second fitting, where they put a quarter size hole in the exact front center of her tule on the dress. They said they could fix it, then on the final fitting they presented the dress with a completely different hole in the dress. When you spend over 1200.00 dollars on just the alterations, you would think they would be more careful. Then, when we asked how they could compensate for the two damages, they only offered 150.00 worth of service with them. I would never recommend them for such an important dress or any other service if this is how they make the customer whole. Very disappointing experience. read more

Horrible service! My sister found the dress of her dreams and she made an appointment to find her accessories. She made and confirmed this appointment 3 weeks and yet no one bothered to notify her of a situation. When arriving the day of accessory shopping they had nothing ready for her, they still needed to run to get the dress. The accessory shop and the dress shop have absolutely ZERO communication with each other. They made a false promise of bringing over her dream dress only to find out they discontinued the dress and no longer have it on the floor. Meanwhile we are there with the most important people and we all find out this news. How is she able to find the veil for her perfect dress when the store no longer has her dress on the floor and brings her a different completely dress. But in your words "well it's close enough"...blush and ivory are completely two different colors.
