Bella Bride was my first ever shop to try on wedding dresses and it was an amazing experience. The woman who helped me, I think she owns the place & I feel bad I forgot her name, was super friendly, down to earth, a great listener, well knowledgeable and hands down the best. I made an appointment a couple days in advance, you NEED to make an appointment as they do not take walk-in's. They are closed on Sundays and Wednesdays. I sent them inspiration photos and talked through the budget I have. I tried on about 7 dresses and each time she was able to narrow down what I was learning to like and feel great in. And they were all in budget! While I did not buy a dress from here I will absolutely recommend this boutique to any future brides & families. read more

Very pushy. Not allowed to take pictures unless you "choose" the dress. This bridal store is the complete opposite of what any bride should be put through. I tried on 6-8 dresses in a span of maybe 30 mins. Maybe. All of these dresses were aggressively put on by the stylist OVER my head. I came with my hair and makeup done to help complete the look, and there was no point as these dresses were thrown over my head. After stating I liked one part of dress an and another of dress b, I was told "well you aren't going to find a dress with everything exactly as you want." Absolutely untrue, because I did exactly that with Olivia Grace Bridal (highly recommend). I believe it was the owner, Alexandra, who tried to have the stylist show me a dress with a strap I specifically said I am against. The stylist did not bring it to me (only good thing they did), but even telling me that info in the first place was weird. I had a horrible experience with Bella Bride. So much so that it made me not even want to go to my appointment. I had never tried on dresses before and Bella Bride inundated me with rules and procedures to follow. Prior to my appointment they sent the rules over multiple times via email and text. Rules such as, no photos, no food or drink, no one can leave the viewing area during an appointment. All guests must stay seated throughout. Just extremely rigid. And the day of the appointment I received a text to stay in my car until they call and let me into the salon. It felt very restrictive and off putting. I was so glad to have found my dress at an appointment prior to visiting Bella Bride. I called to cancel the appointment and they charged me a $50 cancellation fee. Still worth not sitting through what I know would have been an uncomfortable experience. Especially after two amazing appointments at other bridal salons. This place was absolutely awful. The dresses were fine but the attitude of the attendant was a nightmare. This should be a fun experience and they absolutely drop the ball on customer service. No pictures of any dress until you find your favorite?! Ridiculous. You can't walk around and look at dresses with the bride. You're required to sit down in a small section and try to remember what each dress looks like. The customer service alone would make me never want to purchase a dress here or give them business. Go anywhere else. These women are an absolute nightmare. After a lot of searching, I discovered that Bella Bride had my dream dress as a sample for sale - and in the size I wanted! I left a voicemail that was promptly returned by a very friendly sales lady. She offered (and subsequently took) pictures of the gown before I purchased, and was very easy to communicate with. They then sent the gown Fedex ground with tracking. The box was well packaged and the dress even came in a bag! (Dress bags are not typically included with a dress purchase around here). All my interactions were great and I appreciated their prompt response, and the dress had no issues at all. No out of place threads at all. The sample dress I bought was $700 off the store's retail price, or $1200 off the stores near me. Even their full-price, order-in-advance dresses seem to be well priced. This place it not it!!! First off she was very pushy and was pressuring me the whole time to get a dress even though I wasn't certain. Second she yelled at my mom and grandma because they took pictures of me in a few dresses so I could look back on them and decide and because it was memories captured that we wanted to have. The whole "picture rule" is so absurd and doesn't make sense because it is very discrete and wasn't distracting. Also they have all of their dresses shown and listed so it doesn't make sense. Absolutely do not go here because she will make it such a horrible and not memorable experience! My anxiety which I normally don't have was through the roof!! I have never had customer service as bad as I received at Bella Bride Boutique. Not only did my dress come in 2 months late (I ordered and payed my dress in FULL on 3/9/21 and was supposed to receive in 12/21), I was never contacted until I personally reached out. I had the owner of the business tell me she was unable to accommodate me needing to pick up my dress on a Saturday which was fine but then she expected me to accommodate her not having a babysitter for her kids to make it to my scheduled appointment after I had driven 2 hours in icy conditions and wanted to put myself as well as my mother in conditions to drive home in snow. I was hoping to have a good experience after everything I had heard from my friends. I had an appointment and a certain dress in mind. When I showed Caroline the picture, she told me a strapless dress would not work because my chest was too big (I'm a size 36D) and that she did not have any off the shoulder or bohemian dresses. However she still persisted to put me in several couture gowns. After trying just 2 on and then telling her that neither of those were anywhere close to the style I was looking for, she told me in a rude tone "that I wouldn't find anything here" and to put my clothes back on. She stormed out of the dressing room with the dress I just removed (didn't even put the dress on a hanger). While she was hastily removing the dress from me, she cut my left shoulder in two places (from the straps I didn't want) and drew blood. My mom and I were both SHOCKED at her behavior. When sharing with a friend of mine, she said when she went there recently, they told her the dress wasn't meant for her body unless she lost 15 pounds!!!! My friend is mmmaybe 125. Caroline also made rude comments to me mocking my mom... very unprofessional. Don't waste your time here unless you're looking to be mocked and talked about behind your back. Left the place in tears. Wedding dress shopping is stressful enough especially if you're not a size 2 and all the attention is on you. My consultant was abrupt and made me feel inadequate for their dresses when it came to sizes. To top it all off I was in the dressing room and heard the consultant go out to main room and announce my sizes to my friends and how I wasn't fitting into anything and how I needed a "size 16 because her hips are big". Although I tried to make the best of it, I had a terrible experience here. I drove in from Austin (2 hours) because I was really impressed with their line-up of designers (which is the only reason I gave them two stars instead of one). I came alone because all of my family & bridesmaids are out of state, which I was feeling insecure about in the first place. I walk in and was not greeted. I've been to dress appointments before, and they usually greet you with excitement because well, this is kind of a REALLY exciting moment. I wasn't prompted about the process or how they operate, wasn't asked about the styles I liked, the consultant just slowly started walking towards the dresses and I was super confused. Were we already starting? I just walked in the door 30 seconds ago! I still had my coat on, purse and water bottle in hand. She was downbeat and made me feel like she did NOT want to be there. She started pulling dresses and I politely told her I don't want any "bling" on my dress...and she continued to ONLY pull dresses with bling. She didn't listen, she rushed me, and she wasn't a help at all. Then when it came time to try on the few that I had picked, she barely said anything at all. I know it's my opinion, but she could have helped made me feel special or confident in the dresses. Instead, she just stood there...in silence. I ended up liking one of the dresses and asked if I could take a photo, and she said yes. She knew my phone was back in the dressing room, and had ME step down from the podium in an oversized dress that I had to hold up to get it myself, but luckily another consultant caught on and stopped me so she could grab it for me. I didn't feel welcomed. I didn't feel special. I do NOT recommend this boutique if you are excited about finding a dress. read more

I was really hoping for a positive experience based on all the good reviews. Sadly, this was the worst customer service experience I've had in my wedding dress shopping journey. Stopped in on a Friday about 2pm as a walk-in. The 2 ladies working were sitting behind the desk on their phones. I asked if I could be seen as a walk-in and they responded saying "sure." Explained what I was looking for (ball gown with ruffles at the bottom) and they both acted like they didn't know what ruffles on a wedding dress meant. I showed them pictures and we discussed my price point. I was excited! Well, with minimal effort I was shown 1 dress. Agreed to try it on and the sales lady assisted with getting the dress on and pinning the back closed. I hated the dress. The 2 sales ladies didn't assist me any further; just said "ok you can get dressed now." As I left 1 of the ladies was at the desk doing online shopping and the other was standing against the wall on her cell phone while it was charging. I felt extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. This "boutique" has an extremely small selection of dresses - it was an underwhelming experience. Customer service was highly disappointing. read more

My experience here was terrible. I voiced that I didn't like my arm/armpit area in a dress and the lady helping me consistently referred to this part of my body as "chicken nuggets". Throughout the rest of the appointment, every time I tried on a dress she would comment that it either hid my "chicken nuggets" or showed them. First, I will say that I'm glad I got my dress here. I only went to two dress stores and this one was 100x better than the other one I went to. I instantly got the impression that they took their business seriously and I could trust them to take care of things. Both of my appointments were with Jill. She was nice enough and did her job well, but I was just put off because it seemed like she was being fake nice. I had mentioned that no matter if I found the right dress or not, I would not be purchasing until my next appointment when I could bring my mom in. It's like her whole demeanor changed and it seemed like she didn't really care after that. My appointment was for the last hour of the day. At about 45 mins, I wanted to retry on the dress that I thought was The One. Jill made a big show of looking at her watch and making a face and saying we didn't really have time. I understand they have a closing time- but as im going to be spending several thousand dollars, at least give me the whole hour! There were still 15 minutes! I traveled three hours for the appointment so it wasn't like I could just come back the next day. A few weeks later I made another appointment to come back in and purchase the dress. I got a call the day before confirming a certain time, but when I showed up that day at that time they said my appointment wasn't for another hour. Kind of annoying. The store is very upscale and they have beautiful dresses. I LOVE my dress. I also got a veil, earrings, and a bracelet that I love. I would still recommend this store, I just wish my experience had been a little better. read more

I wanted to give this business zero stars but I couldn't. My 19 year old granddaughter went to Bella accompanied by her sister for her upcoming August "casual" small wedding. She explained all of that to the clerk. The clerk picked out 5 dresses , all size 12, for a 5 ft 4 inch petite woman. The clerk had my granddaughter undress down to her panties and came into the dress room to help her try on the dresses. My granddaughter was excited about her upcoming wedding and rather naive and assumed this was normal practice. The clerk saw how much she liked one dress and the clerk told her it was on sale and it would not be there tomorrow. Of course she bought the dress for $1250. It was far too fancy for the occasion and far too revealing for a 19-year old. No refunds!! My granddaughter called an hour later to see if they would take it back (after talking to her grandparents) but was told they would only pay her half. An upcoming wedding is supposed to be a happy event but this clerk totally took advantage of my granddaughter! Some people will do anything for a commission no matter who gets hurt. Shame on Bella for this behavior. Think very carefully about using this business! read more

Today at 3:45 I called this location and asked for any weekend availability over the next few weeks. The woman who answered the phone gave me the next available date and time to which I agreed to schedule. She responded with "I'm with a bride right now I will call Monday to confirm the appointment" and said if I didn't answer by 10:30 the reservation would be cancelled. Then an hour later I received a follow up phone call from the same woman. I explained i was torn between two styles, as this is my first time trying on dresses. She was beyond rude and said if I didn't know EXACTLY what dress style I want to "go pop in somewhere and try some on, because our appointments are only an hour long." With a very rude tone, making it seem my time wasn't valuable. As we all know, due to the Covid-19 virus there is no "Popping in" for wedding dresses. I explained that I was unable to do that which is why I'm scheduling an appointment. The woman then snapped at me and said to "go to David's bridal or something". By far the best bridal store in San Antonio. They have the most beautiful selection of wedding dresses and the ladies here are absolutely amazing. Caroline was as sweet as can be, patient and so helpful. She has a wonderful eye when it comes to styling you in a wedding dress that you'll love. I love that they carry the Hayley Paige Blush collection and Mikaella. Plus this salon just feels like you're at a real wedding boutique like in the movies. Beware of this place. First to start off when I booked my appointment in November of 2020, I told Caroline I wanted simple, plain, and classic. She then cut me off and started telling me the right words to use. It was a very bitter start but brushed it off. When we got to the dress shop everything she picked out for me was nice and what I had my eye on. This place only caters to woman who are a certain size because nothing I tried on fit. I felt so fat and my self esteem was soo low. I cried when I got into my car. Also Caroline was VERY pushy. I was having a moment in my dress and she very suddenly asked "so are you saying yes to the dress?" And I had said yes because I felt so pressured. We went through all the signing and she "supposedly" had already sent everything to the makers. When I called her the next morning (not even 24hrs later) she said it was too late to cancel the order. So I went ahead and waited for my dress to come in. She said 8-12 weeks and it's been about 24. I went and bought a new dress from Liv & Love Bridal in APRIL and that one literally just came in 2 months later. I still have not received my dress from this place and no communication. For someone who sent the order on November 12 it sure is taking quite some time. Even if I stuck with that dress I wouldn't have time to do alterations. So thank you for wasting my time money. At this point a refund would be nice but they have a strict "no refunds or returns" policy. They really should reimburse me for my dress and keep it at their shop so they have at least one dress for bigger brides. Anytime someone asks me about bridal shops I tell them stay away. It's not worth the money, headaches, or self esteem issues. read more

This sweet and intimate bridal shop was my first stop for trying on dresses, because they carry Rosa Clara, Pronovias, and Essense of Australia; many of the other shops I had contacted while making appointments did not. I was excited to see their selection, but a little concerned and nervous about getting the boutique horror experience you read about online. Fortunately, Bella Bride offered NONE of those scary stories, and ALL of the best that other Yelpers had described! Before coming in, I had actually taken a look at the Bella Bride Instagram to browse their collection and see other Bella Brides. I wanted to be sure that my body type and budget would be welcome at a boutique store. The shop owner remembered answering my comments online, and anticipated what I would want to try on. I also think she anticipated what would complement me, but she let me try on what I wanted to at first anyway. I'm not very decisive and was a little overwhelmed, but she helped me narrow it down one by one. After helping me into each dress, she asked me how I felt before letting me step out where my mother and sister could see me, encouraging me to consider my own comfort first. Not once did I feel pressured in a different direction than I wanted, and she let my reaction to the dresses be a guide. When I found a dress I loved, she wrote helped me find a matching veil, and then wrote down the style numbers for me to hold onto while I made a decision. I told her I had other dress appointments today, because of course there are a few Vera Wang gowns every girl has to try on, and she was very understanding of that as well. She knew this was "the dress to beat," but it was the service to beat as well! I am so happy that my first experience in wedding dress shopping was such a good one, and would encourage other brides to set an appointment with Bella; you won't be let down! It seems like a small store, but the selection they do carry is top notch! One small tip: there is a Bella Bridal sign right next door to Fred Astaire Dance Studio, but this is not the correct location. Go down to the next shopping center and turn in near the Corner Bakery to find Bella's spot. If I do purchase the dress at Bella, I'll be sure to come back to Yelp and update my review with a follow-up of the order and alterations process! Good luck Bella Brides! Where do I even begin. After I got engaged i was having the hardest time finding my wedding dress! I came to Bella Bride and found the most beautiful dress!!! I had already scheduled a bridal appointment in Houston the following weekend and was afraid to commit to the beautiful dress I had found just in case there was something else out there. After finding a dress in Houston, I knew something felt unsettling. Fast forward 7 months and many many tears later I no longer felt that the dress I had bought was the dress I had dreamed of. I emailed Bella Bride and asked if I could make an appointment to come in and try on some dresses. At this point I am only two months away from my wedding so time is ticking. I sent the wonderful ladies a picture of what I was looking for and they immediately emailed me back with something they had in store that was exactly what I wanted. I can't tell you what a relief it was to feel like I was finally being taken care of and someone had a genuine interest in making me happy. I showed up to my appointment they took me back right on time and they put me in the most beautiful dress of my dreams. Not only did they help me find MY dress but they made me feel like the most special Bride in the world. I will recommend this place FOREVER for anybody looking to find their forever wedding dress. I came in with a pretty clear idea of what I wanted and we got right down to business- I left with a dress after my first ever appointment! Caroline was just the best. Being very anti David's Bridal, I wanted a more intimate bridal salon with dresses that no one else has worn. This was the perfect place! The ladies there are super nice and inviting. They played along with my entourages big personalities and didn't make us feel weird or uncomfortable. They had dresses for every budget, and helped me find my own dress style. This is my third daughter to get married so I've been to many bridal boutiques and this by far was the worst experience my daughter, her sisters, and myself have ever had. Do not come here. Don't waste your time, we drove 4 hours and booked our appointment months in advance. My appointment was at 11am when the store opened. I arrived 15 minutes before and they made my family and I wait outside until they opened. When we finally got in they did not have the photos I sent them and made me feel like I inconvenienced them and was unprepared.Their selection was very limited with no size ranges. Their Instagram page doesn't accurately represent what the store carries. Their customer service was cold and unwelcoming to say the least.
