Traveling home from SC taking some scenic backroads which is always fun until you can't find anywhere to have breakfast. We were literally turning to go to a fast food place when we saw all the signs along the fence for MayMay's. It's very small inside but cozy. The "822 Sandwich" was yummy. The menu has a lot of choices and very reasonably priced. There were some regulars chatting and we enjoyed listening and joining in on the conversation. Found this gem during a road trip. My husband and I both had the Cross Country breakfast croissant toasted with sausage, bacon and cheese, and it was delicious! My husband went in for a second one. My kid had a sausage kolache and enjoyed it as well. For drinks we had a mango smoothie and a latte (I forgot the name but it was tasty!). Both were very good. We stopped by on our way back to Dallas because we wanted donuts. The donuts were highly rated here, but when we arrived we were notified that they no longer serve donuts. They did have cinnamon rolls which were large, strong on the cinnamon, and reported as delicious from those who imbibed. The staff heated up the cinnamon rolls for a nice touch. Heading home from Toledo Bend Fly Tying Rendezvous at North Toledo Bend State Park. We'd been struggling to find an eatery along the route that was open on Sunday and offered an area to park our truck and RV. We saw MayMay's on Yelp and as we approached Mt. Enterprise, we saw the restaurant was open and we could easily park across the road! With several indoor tables and a nice outdoor eating area, this is a good stop for travelers passing through. Hubby ordered the Smash Burger his way--meat, cheese, mustard, no veggies. We're both picky eaters, and he said he'd eat the Smash Burger again. I, a diabetic who stupidly got off without some important meds, ate the 10" cauliflower pizza choosing the Build Your Own option--Alfredo sauce, mozzarella, spinach, bell peppers, black olives, and mushrooms. It was delicious and offered me an option to eat properly! Fun, friendly staff who even turned the tv so we could watch the football game. We've added MayMay's to our travel plans for next year's Rendezvous. read more

I used to really like this place when they first opened but they seem to be making changes that are bringing down the quality. They do have decent coffee and the food is ok. Don't expect to get what is on the menu. Example: biscuits and gravy with sausage crumble, is just biscuits and gravy WITHOUT the sausage. I detest false advertising. However, they do have a rewards system which is good if you frequent them enough. Hopefully, they don't stop caring about the customers like so many other places have. read more

Situated in the heart of the piney woods of East Texas in the middle of nowhere is this delightful restaurant that resonates with this Gen X heart. It has the rare combo feel of rural America and suburban America with its modern style, but laid back feel. And no mistake the food is great. I had the cup of chicken salad made with a honeycrisp apple. The chicken was not canned nor overcooked. My son loves spicy and had the jalepeno-pineapple smash burger and my daughter had the chicken pesto. And don't forget to grap a coffee. This place is delicious! We drove thru on our way through town and what a perfect little lunch spot! The chicken pesto sandwich is a must!! The chicken salad sandwich was yummy too! I drive through Mt Enterprise almost every week and finally had the opportunity to stop at this new joint. I'm not for sure if I'd call it a restaurant (I don't know if it's got indoor seating). It's not a food truck. And it's more than a drive through diner. MayMay's is AMAZING!! I had the Smashburger all the way. The bun tasted homemade and was toasted to give a little crunch. There were bread and butter pickles on the side. Ask for napkins because the burger was good extra juicy. Although it was lunchtime I had to try their gourmet coffee. The Southern Belle was super delicious. I can't wait to go back. The wait was a little long but we'll worth it. The food was fresh and hot off the grill. read more

May May's was a wonderful surprise! Hubby had the Bacon Smash Burger with onions smashed in the burger, all the way. He said it was excellent! I had a small Coat's Special (I think) pizza. We were excited to try out this new place, and drove about 15 minutes from a neighboring town for a Friday nite out. There were 3-4 employees and only 2 other guests when we entered. Not one employee acknowledged us, asked if we needed a menu. or offered us a water. I approached the front counter thinking maybe we possibly needed to order there. Nothing. Employees talked among themselves and one was on his phone. We had heard very good things about their food, but we won't get to judge for ourselves. Very disappointing. read more

I always l pass this place whenever I'm driving to and from Lufkin from where I live in Louisiana. I had to be home by a certain time but had just enough time to quickly drive thru somewhere for a drink and figured why not May May's. I pulled into the drive thru behind another car, but shortly after, the car in front of me pulled out of the drive thru lane and left the restaurant without even getting to the window. Once the car in front of me was gone I realized there was another car pulled up ahead of the drive thru window and blocking any other car from being able to place an order. The car was on and there was someone inside eating. I assumed they were eating food they had just ordered and were waiting for the rest of their order so I continued to wait as well. After a couple minutes another car pulled in behind me, but I had simply waited long enough so I too left the drive thru line. I don't know what was going on inside May May's but no one that worked there seemed to be concerned that there was a car blocking their drive thru window. I thought surely they will get things moving after two employee's came outside to throw trash bags out and realized they had multiple cars waiting to order, but again my assumption was wrong.
