Located in a shopping plaza, the interior is beautifully designed! Service is amazing & friendly. Food - there's varieties of options here for everyone! I ordered the Kubideh Kabob and Lamb Biryani. The Biryani was seasons really well & the lamb was very tender. For the Kubideh Kabob I ordered their special rice with the dish & enjoyed the it! I do wish the kubideh was seasoned a little bit more was I thought it didn't have much flavor but it was paired with the tzatziki sauce it helped. Along with the meal, we also got bread which was crispy & standard bread but greatly appreciated :) we also go to try a special tasting if the pomegranate wine and oh wow that was delicious! I'm usually not a wine person but I really enjoyed it!!! Parking is outside in a shared lot. I saw they offer afternoon tea which I would love to come back & try one day! Dinner is booked quick so I recommend a reservation if all possible.

Ahsh soup and Vegetarian Delight Entree

My friend and I decided to stop by this afternoon for an impromptu lunch when we finished a job nearby. I had it saved on Yelp to try and so we did. The first thing we noticed were all the healthy plants and can only imagine how gorgeous it will be once the summer annuals are in bloom. Even the artificial plants were clean and shiny and not a spot of dust. The fountain in the center of the restaurant was beautiful as were all the tiles and pillows. The owner came out to greet us and she was so welcoming. I had the Ahsh soup. It was amazing. So much healthy flavor and goodness. Then I had the Vegetarian Delight entree and my friend had the Greek salad top with gyro. She was moaning the entire meal I felt like I was in the diner scene from When Harry Met Sally. She thought it was absolutely delicious!!! We will definitely be back. This is 00% my kind of food

Cute little spot. Tried it for the first time and the service was friendly. Enjoyed the appetizers the most. Everything else was good/okay. Interior was unique compared to other spots, we enjoyed the half circle booths with pillows. Perfect for some tea time. :) (Which we didn't know there was tea here) Had the following: - 2 Person Saffron Tea Pot (There was 2 rock candy with it which was cute, but we only used one since we don't like our tea too sweet, took the other one home~ FYA they do charge for the rock candy, it doesn't come with the tea, we didn't know lol) - Veggie Samosa and Falafel Appetizer (Yum! Would recommend) - Veggie Delight - Gyro Sandwich and Fries (This was a huge portion)

Surprisingly filling despite the small-looking kebab portions. Meat and rice offerings and well seasoned and go well with their tea assortments. Inside water fountain and decorations are beautiful, make for a great seating environment. Service is usually good.

Beautiful ambiance. Friendly and professional service. Delicious food. Definitely worth visiting!

    Tea party spread

Highly recommend this restaurant especially for the tea party! The tea was lovely and the spread was fresh, delicious, and filling and the service was impressive! It'd be great for a business meeting, girls outing, friendly connections or just because!

I first tried the assorted kebabs. Unfortunately, the chicken had dried out and the kofta felt too crumbly. The chicken rice dish had quite aromatic rice but underseasoned chicken; seasoned rice alone can't substitute bland chicken drumsticks. The lamb rice dish had both aromatic rice and juicy, well seasoned lamb. I ended up combining the lamb pieces with the chicken rice. Out of curiosity, I tried a piece of their fried chicken. It proved juicy and not too oily. It would do well as a standalone appetizer in most restaurants. I also tried something that looked like lasagna, but without tomato. It tasted, to my uncultured palate, like a lasagna with some sort of cream or bechamel-like sauce. I quite enjoyed it. For dessert, my friend convinced me to try what I had initially passed over as oatmeal or tapioca pudding. The Omi Ali proved quite delectable, like a cross between bread pudding and oatmeal but with more nuanced spices and sweetness. I added it to my short list of desserts I enjoy, since I don't have much of a sweet tooth. Overall, I appreciated the breath and variety. Some hits and misses are to be expected at a homely, ethnic neighborhood style buffet.

Dear Joon Management,…read more My family and I have been regular customers at your restaurant since March because we truly enjoy your excellent Persian food. I have also brought many coworkers and friends to introduce them to your restaurant. Unfortunately, during every visit over the past several months, the rice has been excessively salty. It tastes as though salt was added to the rice rather than the rice being properly seasoned. In May, I brought eight guests, and nearly everyone left their rice untouched. In early July, I returned with four people, and once again no one ate the rice. We mentioned the issue to our waiter, who was very polite and said he would inform the manager and the cook. On the third Wednesday of July, I came with two friends, and once again none of us ate the rice. I spoke with the manager, who was very kind and assured me she would discuss the issue with the cook. Unfortunately, despite reporting the problem more than once, nothing has changed. If this had happened only once, I would not be writing this email. However, after several disappointing visits, I expected that our meals would have been replaced or that we would not have been charged for food that was left uneaten because of the overly salted rice. I respectfully request that you consider providing a refund or another appropriate resolution for our most recent visit. More importantly, I hope this issue is corrected so future customers can fully enjoy your excellent food. If our feedback is important to you, I would appreciate hearing from you. I would also like to share your response with the friends and coworkers I have encouraged to visit your restaurant. My name is David A., and my email address is Shirpelang@gmail.com. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to your response. Sincerely, David A.

Everything was delicious, no weak dish in the bunch. The meatballs and falafel especially stood out, but honestly the whole table was clean by the end. We also tried the Fig Old Fashioned and the Hafizz Spritz. The Fig Old Fashioned was the standout of the night: bourbon sweetened with fig cordial and warmed with Angostura bitters. Perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and dangerously easy to drink. The Hafizz Spritz was refreshing too, cucumber, lime, and mint with gin, prosecco rosé, and elderflower, but the Fig Old Fashioned is the one I'm already thinking about ordering again. Great first visit. Will be back for social hour again.

I grew up on…read moreUkrainian food, and middle eastern cuisine is some of my favorite, so my expectations were high. Lord, this place did not disappoint! We decided to share everything and eat family style. We ordered 3 Ukrainian dishes: Holubtsi (cabbage rolls stuffed with lamb and beef mixed with rice), cabbage stuffed varenyky (pierogis), deruny (potato pancakes) and the lamb kofta. Each dish was fantastic! The holubtsi were soft and tender in the center, but didn't fall apart when you cut through them. The varenyky tasted like what my family made. The deruny were thin and crispy - my favorite way of making them. And the lamb kofta was absolutely scrumptious. The rice and sauce it came with were divine. Our all-in-one hostess and waitress was also the manager, a young woman from Ukraine who was incredibly attentive and endlessly friendly. She embodies what the hospitality sector is about. The owners are a couple - a Palestinian husband and Ukrainian wife. The latter seems to be the chef de cuisine, while the former runs the front of house and went out of his way to connect with us and introduce us to his son, who also works at SimSim. TLDR: Even if you don't care about supporting two different war torn countries, the food here is both delicious and authentic. I can't wait to go back and eat my way through the rest of the menu!

Going back to the food, it was poor from beginning to end. The grape leaves tasted worse or at least as bad as some canned grape leaves. It was not fresh, you could tell from the rice inside and the way the grape leaves broke when you bit into them. The fattoush salad didn't seem to have enough parsley and mint and it was most a lettuce salad. The adeni tea was plain weird. It didn't taste like tea at all. The kabsa felt like rice had been mixed with curry. I guess that's why the guy was asking how spicy we wanted it. Typically that is not a question when ordering kabsa. The lamb chops were not good either. The meat was tough, as was the meat for some of the other dishes. It's unfortunate because we were excited to try this place ever since we saw that it was opening. There was maybe 1 other customer when we were there and I guess it makes sense now. Hope they improve or else they are going to struggle.
